It is difficult to find mature, qualified people who you can trust and benefit by their therapy. I saw a Bible in the waiting room, but no other reference to God in sessions, ever. Spiritual therapy is an option. There are many therapists here with specialized qualifications. I was happy to note that they offer mediation for divorcing couples that help them to agree to a plan that is best for children. And many other types of therapy. I feel as though I found gold. For example, today the facility distributed an abundance of quality clothing to clients. Priority was given to those who arrived with nothing, and after everyone in need was taken care of, there were still enough clothes for others. It was just one of many examples of how Gateway genuinely cares about the people they serve. The facility itself is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable, clients receive three meals a day along with a snack, and the overall atmosphere promotes healing and recovery. While anyone can find something to criticize about any organization, I found very few, if any, faults with Gateway Chicago. My overall experience exceeded my expectations. I am sincerely grateful to the ownership, the corporate leadership, and every member of the staff for the hard work, compassion, passion, and dedication they show every day to individuals seeking recovery. How many woman have you sponsored Laura? You suggested more fellowship and ditched me at my first AA dance. 2 ladies came to Windy City Church women's big book meeting on Mondays and felt so shamed the went home and killed themselves. Those ladies made me feel the same but I refuse to kill myself though your careless suggestions made me feel like I should. The ladies in AA arent doctors. Thanks for being professionals Hazeldon. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. I had hit the lowest point in my life and after seeking mental help in multiple states with various providers, I wasn’t anticipating this would be any different. My assumptions were wrong and after 3 months, I left feeling better than I have ever felt in over 7-8 years. There is no shortage of compassionate and helpful people and resources at compass. It truly feels like everyone there is focused solely on you. A typical day looks entails 3 group sessions where you learn skills and others where you have group discussions. This can feel nerve wracking in the beginning, but mostly it gives a sense of common humanity. I had the pleasure of seeing Nathalie, Maggie, Caroline, Jaycee (I’m sorry if I missed your name) as group therapists during my time there. All of them work to keep our sessions productive and positive, and they do. Also, during the week you will get pulled from group sessions to receive even more support that include 1-1 therapy, psychiatry and outside resource help. Dr. Henry was my psychiatrist who is very concise and pleasure to be around. He takes the time to connect with your doctors and is incredibly detail oriented. Maija, worked on transitioning me to help find outside therapy (after I left), job resources and psychiatry; she is wonderful. Brian, my family therapist worked endlessly to build a better communication channel between myself and my family. He is extremely talented at what he does and I admire the work he puts in to what I know is a difficult job. Lastly, Camilla my primary therapist was the most helpful and supportive therapist I have ever had in my (I’ve seen A LOT). I don’t have enough positive things to say about her. She challenged me to take steps that no other therapist prior had been successful at. She is kind, caring and I will truly miss her support. If you’re on the fence about joining the compass I hope my review might persuade you to give it a shot. I tell my doctors, friends and family just how much the people and program meant to me and I mean it. P.S. - Shoutout to everyone working at the front desk. While I can’t speak to the other programs at Compass I can however speak extremely highly of the OCD/Complex Anxiety team. Dr. Han was the most amazing psychiatrist I have ever had, he met me where I was and made me feel like a human first. You spend the majority of your time there in group with the group therapists who truly are the heart and soul of compass. Wanted to specifically shoutout Emmy who clearly has a passion for what she does, and let me tell you she is in the right career path (lol). I am leaving compass obviously not cured but having a much better grip and understanding of my mental health, I am also leaving with a plethora of skills that I have already found extremely effective. I have lived awhile and was reluctant to see a therapist. It is difficult to find mature, qualified people who you can trust and benefit by their therapy. I saw a Bible in the waiting room, but no other reference to God in sessions, ever. Spiritual therapy is an option. There are many therapists here with specialized qualifications. I was happy to note that they offer mediation for divorcing couples that help them to agree to a plan that is best for children. And many other types of therapy. I feel as though I found gold. I highly recommend that you see all they have to offer if you need a little or a lot of help.

Overall, my experience at Gateway Chicago was exceptional and overwhelmingly positive. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. The food was good, the staff was outstanding, and my counselor, Nate, was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Supervisor Herb is highly professional and, as he often says, he "gets things done" for the clients—a statement I personally witnessed time and time again. His leadership has had a tremendous impact on the men's unit, and he deserves recognition for creating an environment where clients feel supported, respected, and encouraged to succeed. I would also like to recognize Mike, Muhammad, Kenny, Kevin, Richard, Eva, Prentice, Katelyn, China, Mr. B, and Dale. Dale's classes are engaging, informative, and inspiring, and his passion for recovery is evident in every interaction he has with clients. Every one of these staff members demonstrated professionalism, compassion, patience, and dedication. They treated not only me but every client with kindness and respect, making recovery feel possible and giving people hope during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Gateway Chicago, located at 3828 West Taylor Street, Chicago, Illinois 60624, did far more than provide substance abuse treatment—it helped bring sanity, clarity, and serenity back into my life. The staff consistently went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and the needs of others. I witnessed countless acts of generosity and compassion. For example, today the facility distributed an abundance of quality clothing to clients. Priority was given to those who arrived with nothing, and after everyone in need was taken care of, there were still enough clothes for others. It was just one of many examples of how Gateway genuinely cares about the people they serve. The facility itself is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable, clients receive three meals a day along with a snack, and the overall atmosphere promotes healing and recovery. While anyone can find something to criticize about any organization, I found very few, if any, faults with Gateway Chicago. My overall experience exceeded my expectations. I am sincerely grateful to the ownership, the corporate leadership, and every member of the staff for the hard work, compassion, passion, and dedication they show every day to individuals seeking recovery. Most importantly, I am grateful that Gateway helped me regain peace of mind, hope for the future, and the serenity I had been missing for so long. I wholeheartedly recommend Gateway Chicago to anyone seeking treatment. Their commitment to helping people rebuild their lives is evident in everything they do, and I will always be thankful for the care and support I received there.

Most grateful for this treatment center on my 7th anniversary sober from alcohol. The seeds Hazeldon planted saved my life! Shame on whoever is letting Susan Nice run meetings out of your building. She let a stranger stroke my leg her entire meeting and never stopped it once. Had the audacity to ask if it was my boyfriend after. Knowing I live with PTSD from abuse being my longtime 'godsponsor'. She just spoke at the Canada opening. How are you letting someone so detached from reality speak to those in need of help? How many meetings has she been to? Her suggestions along with Laura Ws (whos Mom works with congress scary enough) and the ladies of AA in particular are reckless. Suggested I do my first lead of life and didnt show up. How many woman have you sponsored Laura? You suggested more fellowship and ditched me at my first AA dance. 2 ladies came to Windy City Church women's big book meeting on Mondays and felt so shamed the went home and killed themselves. Those ladies made me feel the same but I refuse to kill myself though your careless suggestions made me feel like I should. The ladies in AA arent doctors. Thanks for being professionals Hazeldon. Alano clubs are hot spots for gossip that's ruining lives. Grateful to be alive and sober. Thanks for starting my journey with me 14 years ago! Hiding under fake names to gain personal information is illegal too Tricia. Shame on all of you ladies.

I'm fairly new to getting regular healthcare from the VA but from my experiences so far I have had nothing but very good care and positive interactions, especially from the nurses and people at the front desk! Everyone is doing the best they can given how many veterans come and go throughout the hospital every single day. A little patience goes a long way when receiving determining the best care possible for every individual.

Suncloud has been a life saver. The staff was and is always welcoming and caring. One of the things that has been the most helpful for me has been the aftercare, follow ups and continued connection I get with them. It has become part of my family now and its a lifestyle. One of the things I lost in my life was a sense of being part of my community and having that desire to isolate from people. I dont feel that way anymore because of Suncloud. Now I have friends and people I really trust. Which is huge to me with my trust issues. Suncloud taught me that I cannot do this alone and showed me that I wasnt alone. This is a lifelong journey and my life is better now because I chose to do something about it, and Suncloud gave me the tools I needed. So I want to let anyone know who is looking into treatment Banyan was such a fantastic experience for me. I owe them such a debt of GRATITUDE. I am a middle-aged woman with kids who was struggling with drinking - life was just sad for me due to some pretty terrible trauma-I knew I needed to make a change and I came to Banyan. I was scared & ashamed. They treated me with such kindness. The program was well structured & professional. The financial obligation was manageable. Everyone there continues to check on my progress. I have completely been sober since I left and have a completely new life - A+ Banyan. I continue to have great friendships from my time there. Here is one thing i say to people who ask me about getting sober. I have not met one person -not one single person -who regrets getting sober. There are millions of people- hundreds of millions of people - right now regretting drinking, why not make the change now? people get sober for a lot of different reasons.

Banyan in lisle iL, is absolutely amazing! From the 30 day residential to the PHP THEY WERE SO WECOMING! The classes and groups are great. PHP is awesome to they take us to church, grocery shopping, Walmart, and we do events!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone getting sober.

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. If you struggle with addiction and are looking for a place where you can start to make changes, I highly recommend Naperville's IOP program. Thank you for helping me change my life.

The Joliet Symetria location saved my life!! What a great bunch of people!! They work with you, and guide you through everything!! Heck Tonette even got me an Uber one time because my car was broke down and I was going to miss my dosing. Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

PSI saved my life. The people here not only helped me want to live a healthier life, but they also helped me find my voice again. This was my second IOP program and honestly the service and care that I received was on a completely different level. Mike Geraci is one of the best therapists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. PSI and Mike went above and beyond for me and my peers to make sure that we finished the program ready to jump back into our lives. I also spent time and stayed at the sober living apartments through PSI and would highly recommend this choice. The apartment was comfortable and in a great location. I also met some of my best friends here and made lasting friendships. I am forever grateful to PSI. Thank you again for everything!

I was referred to compass back in May after being hospitalized. I had hit the lowest point in my life and after seeking mental help in multiple states with various providers, I wasn’t anticipating this would be any different. My assumptions were wrong and after 3 months, I left feeling better than I have ever felt in over 7-8 years. There is no shortage of compassionate and helpful people and resources at compass. It truly feels like everyone there is focused solely on you. A typical day looks entails 3 group sessions where you learn skills and others where you have group discussions. This can feel nerve wracking in the beginning, but mostly it gives a sense of common humanity. I had the pleasure of seeing Nathalie, Maggie, Caroline, Jaycee (I’m sorry if I missed your name) as group therapists during my time there. All of them work to keep our sessions productive and positive, and they do. Also, during the week you will get pulled from group sessions to receive even more support that include 1-1 therapy, psychiatry and outside resource help. Dr. Henry was my psychiatrist who is very concise and pleasure to be around. He takes the time to connect with your doctors and is incredibly detail oriented. Maija, worked on transitioning me to help find outside therapy (after I left), job resources and psychiatry; she is wonderful. Brian, my family therapist worked endlessly to build a better communication channel between myself and my family. He is extremely talented at what he does and I admire the work he puts in to what I know is a difficult job. Lastly, Camilla my primary therapist was the most helpful and supportive therapist I have ever had in my (I’ve seen A LOT). I don’t have enough positive things to say about her. She challenged me to take steps that no other therapist prior had been successful at. She is kind, caring and I will truly miss her support. If you’re on the fence about joining the compass I hope my review might persuade you to give it a shot. I tell my doctors, friends and family just how much the people and program meant to me and I mean it. P.S. - Shoutout to everyone working at the front desk. Only after a couple weeks they greeted by first name and were so kind and helpful.

I can’t put into words the impact compass had on me. I been debating going into the OCD program for nearly 6 months before I did and I can’t express enough the lasting impact it had on me. While I can’t speak to the other programs at Compass I can however speak extremely highly of the OCD/Complex Anxiety team. Dr. Han was the most amazing psychiatrist I have ever had, he met me where I was and made me feel like a human first. You spend the majority of your time there in group with the group therapists who truly are the heart and soul of compass. Wanted to specifically shoutout Emmy who clearly has a passion for what she does, and let me tell you she is in the right career path (lol). I am leaving compass obviously not cured but having a much better grip and understanding of my mental health, I am also leaving with a plethora of skills that I have already found extremely effective. Obviously this program is not cheap depending on insurance but I have found it worth every penny!!
