If i could give 1000 stars i would! I couldn't recommend symetria enough. Everyone there is absolutely AMAZING! From the front staff (esp Ms Shuranda who keeps everything running smoothly), to the wonderful counselors, the medical directors (shout out to Ms Cynthia), my knowledgeable counselor Ms Beth, the beautiful nurses aka angels in scrubs (Kat, Gizelle and Mel).. you are surrounded by nothing but complete love, support and understanding. There is never a moment you feel judged or unsupported. Everyone has been there for me in more ways than I can count and if it wasn't for the staff I don't think I would be where I am today. You aren't treated like a number or just another patient. You are treated like FAMILY! Choosing symetria to be the first place I went to help be recover was the best decision I ever made and I'm forever grateful for everyone there who has been there for me since day one. I have lived awhile and was reluctant to see a therapist. It is difficult to find mature, qualified people who you can trust and benefit by their therapy. I saw a Bible in the waiting room, but no other reference to God in sessions, ever.
Spiritual therapy is an option. There are many therapists here with specialized qualifications. I was happy to note that they offer mediation for divorcing couples that help them to agree to a plan that is best for children. And many other types of therapy.
I feel as though I found gold. I highly recommend that you see all they have to offer if you need a little or a lot of help.

Heather who works in the Pharmacy at Hines has been absolutely incredible! I had 2 prescriptions scheduled to be delivered, I only received one. Per my doctor, I should call the pharmacy to find out what happened. I am SO thankful to Heather for her diligence to keep me updated every single day (sometimes multiple times a day. And even if the news wasn't great, she communicated with me every step of the way) none of the lost prescription was Hines' fault, responsibility falls solely on the USPS. Thank you Heather 🖤

Such a transformative experience! Naturally, the reviews you read for addiction treatment centers are going to skew negative but don't let that deter you if you believe you need help. Not only did I have an amazing experience with staff, I've built a strong foundation of community among my peers who were also seeking treatment. While encouraged by their use of an evidenced-based model, the incorporation of the 12-steps had me skeptical at first but now I'm fully committed. If you feel the 12 steps aren't for you, they also provide information about alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. My one complaint would be that I had chosen to participate in the in-person IOP during intake, but was somehow placed into the virtual IOP. Once it was recognized it was a quick fix and it didn't impact my start date or anything like that.

I've been here twice... Certainly the best 28 day program in the area. Two amazing counselors who educate residence on addiction and push and motivate them to be better. I am grateful to this place however ashamed that I relapsed again after two stays here. They certainly did there best... And do not take into account the bad reviews. If you've been to several programs and treatment centers around Chicago then you know HAS is one of the better ones.
HAS, Keep up the good work and thank Hose for giving me so many chances, you guys help those who want it. I hope I can visit on better terms someday!

Lenden oaks was my safe space so many time, I struggled with addiction for many years in my teens. I went from being in the adolescent unit to unfortunately carrying on to the adult unit due to my continue struggle. I’m not only using this review to give my thanks but also track down some of the therapist. I was hoping to get in contact with some of them and just give thanks to them as well. I have been in the rosecrance PHP Program for a little over a month now and I can confidently say it has changed my life for the better. I have done multiple different PHP/IOP programs in the past and none of them even come close to rosecrance. The staff truly cares about you. Kiernan, Veronica, Jimmie, Morgan, Jadan, Jules, Nikki and everyone else there have all touched my heart. I will still be in the program for a little while longer but I want to truly encourage anyone thats struggling with alcoholism or addiction to give rosecrance a chance. I have made so much progress and learned many new things about myself in the past few weeks and it is all thanks to this amazing program. My only regret is I wish I had done this a lot sooner. Make the call, you won't regret it.

Sundance has great counselors, a nice place to go for your recovery journey. If I had to recommend anybody struggling with their sobriety journey anywhere I would recommend them to Sundance. It is a homely environment, they serve hot coffee every day. Saved my husband’s life more than once. I can’t say enough about the palliative care team at the cancer center. Absolutely wonderful at caring for the patient and family. At times issues with scheduling, but a little persistence and advocacy can cut through the bureaucratic red tape.

There was a reason I chose to deliver all 3 babies at this hospital, coming back 3 times speaks volumes about the L&D/Mom & Baby ward. All of the staff were incredibly nice, dedicated and very caring. From the Nurses, to the Techs, they were all so gentle and caring throughout all of my stay and I would recommend this hospital for delivery 100 times over.

I have done this program 2 times, and its been very helpful for me. I came for mental health support, and substance use issues. Both programs are very informative and the therapists are great. My main issues with the program come with the duration of support, because its only 4 weeks, and the psychiatrists. The psychiatrists push medication very heavily. I came to the program taking sertraline as my antidepressant, and my psychiatrist has consistently pushed me to double my dosage. When i say no she has continued to push me to increase my dosage, despite me telling her that I increased my dosage a week before starting. I have talked to several patients who have had the same experience with their psychiatrists at this center. Some of them mentioned that they were given medications to fix side effects of other medications, leading them to take 7 different pills. They also said the withdrawals weren’t explained to them at all. I do enjoy the groups and opportunities to learn from other patients.
