Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

I've been going to Family Guidance for the last 16 months. August 2nd I got off the train from St. Louis and started down the road for recovery. I've been using for the last 30 years. With the help of my counselor at Family Guidance I have been able to abstain from drug use and have turned a corner allowing me to say farewell to everyone at family guidance.

Such a transformative experience! Naturally, the reviews you read for addiction treatment centers are going to skew negative but don't let that deter you if you believe you need help. Not only did I have an amazing experience with staff, I've built a strong foundation of community among my peers who were also seeking treatment. While encouraged by their use of an evidenced-based model, the incorporation of the 12-steps had me skeptical at first but now I'm fully committed. If you feel the 12 steps aren't for you, they also provide information about alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. My one complaint would be that I had chosen to participate in the in-person IOP during intake, but was somehow placed into the virtual IOP. Once it was recognized it was a quick fix and it didn't impact my start date or anything like that.

My messages were courteous. My issue was never addressed and I have been repeatedly ignored. I’m disappointed that the person who handles issues is not addressing my recent 2 issues. They took great care of me. However, I had severe bruising all overy arms from them missing my vein for IV. I mean serious bruising in multiple spots. Also, some employee on the rehab floor yelled at my daughter for hugging me. We had no idea we couldn't hug. It was embarrassing. Finally the food in the med floor was consistently cold. The food on the rehab floor was hottish but I was missing food that I ordered all the time I was there. Thanks

I've been here twice... Certainly the best 28 day program in the area. Two amazing counselors who educate residence on addiction and push and motivate them to be better. I am grateful to this place however ashamed that I relapsed again after two stays here. They certainly did there best... And do not take into account the bad reviews. If you've been to several programs and treatment centers around Chicago then you know HAS is one of the better ones.HAS, Keep up the good work and thank Hose for giving me so many chances, you guys help those who want it. I hope I can visit on better terms someday!

I was there and now im 3 years clean. Good place to go if your serious and ready to find a new way to live. I'm forever thankful to all the counselors and the cooks who took there time on showing love and helping me get out of that hell I was in.. I still miss that church they used to take us every other weekend with Pastor Steve still can't find it. God bless and stay safe...

I have been to this center 3 times in my past throughout my addiction. I can say with experience that this place is the real deal .A lot of places will say it s about recovery. But you can see and feel the changes people are going through. And miracles DO HAPPEN! I just wanna say AMEN, thank you Jesus for keeping the doors open to this center all these years. After 10 years of battling addiction to various drugs I went to ECS for 28 days of rehab. It was a life changing experience that started on 11/29/2018. I have been in recovery for nearly 2 years now. I ve become close with my family and opened a personal training business helping men in rehab and employing men in recovery. I have also gotten my position as a general foreman back at my regular Job as well as my freedom in my life and am a better man than I have ever been thanks to the counselors, staff and Dr Sharma at ECS.A 6 year sober and in recovery update. Being someone that has been to multiple treatment facilities in this sobriety journey of mine I can confidently say that ECS has been by far the best and most effective treatment I know of I highly recommend it. It s been a few months since I ve been out and I m now working at a great job with some others that also went through the program and could not be happier with my sobriety!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this office. I have seen 3 doctors and now currently see Emily Jensen NP. All have been wonderful and actually care about getting to the root cause.
