I really like Groups Recovery. I only have one gripe. My scheduled group meeting is at 7:00 pm. I work a 12 hour shift that ends at 7:00 pm. Sometimes it is very hard to get to my meeting on time. It causes me lots of anxiety and stress. I wish the meets would extend to at least an 8:00 pm meeting. That is all. Everything else is great.

Groups is AMAZING!! This is a place that allows me to be me. I don’t have to be scared to say that I had a slip up, we will talk through that if it were to happen. Hello, my name is Chloe Grover I discharged from Columbus behavioral center 1 month ago and it changed my entire life for the better. I had Caitlyn as a therapist and let me just say she is truly phenomenal at her work and what she does she kicks ass everyday to make sure her kids have what they need. Kiera the aftercare case manager is just as amazing she truly loves and cares for older youth in this program when she did IL she made it fun and engaging. Karebear was an amazing lead tech on 400 unit she changed the way I view people today she showed me to let people in and give them a chance. Von is a another very hardworking lead tech on 400 unit she showed me how to not care what others thought about me and to be myself through and through. Cameron was an amazing lead tech on 300 unit he always made your day exciting but stuck to the rules as he should and he was always there when you needed a good cry or a good conversation. The staff there deserve the world and if I could give it to them I would. Thank you everyone.
If your kid needs help check this place out their DBT program is truly phenomenal it has helped me through some really touch things since discharge.

I would recommend Wellstone in a heartbeat. The management doesn't seem to be the best, if I'm being honest, but the social workers, nurses, and techs genuinely care and are there to help their patients anyway they can. I always felt heard, respected, and validated (and as a member of the trans community, we are not always afforded these courtesies, even in healthcare). Their team that handles crises were incredible at de-escalating tense situations. The food was surprisingly good most of the time. Much love to the other patients who helped me while I was there. Much love and respect to my doctor and the staff who helped me: Voss, Tina, Abby, Mary-Margaret, Julie, Seth, Felix, Sam, Lexi, Grace, Caitlyn, James, KP, Will, Dahkota (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and all the folks whose names I didn't catch but who I'm so very grateful for. The staff is wonderful, they seem have the patient's well-being as their number one goal. Most clinics like these are only there for the money but this place is a lot different. This could be the best place in town for people who need help adjusting themselves to live after incarceration. My experience with CMHC varies. Thankfully, most of it was positive. I been going here since 2020 or earlier. My therapist, at the time, was very helpful but eventually quit. This led to me meeting my new therapist. Very kind, sweet, and goes up and beyond for my mental health. However, that cannot be said about my previous psychiatrist. She kept on booking up her appointments to the point she could barely see me or anyone, leaving voicemails doesn't do anything, and I even went to the hospital after I told her I needed different medicine and she "couldn't be seen" despite it being an emergency. Don't get me wrong, my psychiatrist was intelligent, but incredibly and sadly unavailable. I believe she has quit working there or has very limited patients now. When trying to find ANOTHER psychiatrist from CMHC, they were all booked up constantly. So I just found an online psychiatrist and went from there.
TLDR: I'm glad I got the help I needed and still do, but I understand everyone's bad experiences here too. It does not surprise me. However, I would give this place a chance if it meant my mental health was on the line.

Good people... Both the other clients and staff were supportive and caring...the food was terrible...and communication between departments could be improved. I feel my needs were met adequately and I was giving the tools and resources to continue in my recovery
