At the very least it taught me how to live correctly. I have been stuck in the never ending cycle of treatment for six years now. I have been to countless places that baby you and coddle you to death and focus on teaching people how to simply think better but never focus on the application of new behavior. Luckily, Liberty Ranch is much more focused on teaching people how to actually act better. If you want to turn your life around for good come to The Liberty Ranch and they will be your best bet to making a life long change. I am a year sober and have found some serenity and joy in life I believe that is in big part due to The Ranch and the people that run it. It is different than your average "cookie cutter" treatment. They deal with the real underlying issues and character defects that keep us in relapse mode. I originally came here for 30 days and now going on 7 months in this program. I came here from California and have witnessed the benefits of the program working in my life. The property is beautiful and there are dogs there for that extra love and support! Highly recommend this place if you are serious about your sobriety. As a routine annual mammogram patient as well as a diagnostic breast biopsy, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. One nurse actually held my hand when I became emotional during the biopsy. I can’t say enough good things about them. I am truly grateful for all of their patience and kind heartedness. The treatment I got from staff last year wasn't nothing to write home about that's for sure saying it was lacking would actually be a compliment. Today I was taken by surprise at how well I was treated and how attentive the staff was, all of my needs were met, everything was explained thoroughly, extremely clean, extremely professional staff this is likely the safest I've ever felt in a hospital in all of my 43 years. I did have a nurse who lacked bedside manner, but all in all I really can't even complain about that, she was very good at her job and she kept me out of pain and comfortable while I was recovering. The therapists are probably the best part about the place, but all of the staff genuinely want to help you. It's in a very secluded place so it's nearly impossible to leave to use. Unlike most other places it's a big mansion with half the people upstairs and half downstairs. I stayed upstairs and the A/C was almost too good in the summer. It probably stayed 62 degrees up there. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. All of the staff really cares about you and your recovery, like all rehabs there are some. Rules and structure that not all clients will agree with. But it's just how it goes, they are very simple. Rules. They feed you well while there too. And the case manager is amazing, she helped me out big time with some court stuff that I was dealing with. It's also a smaller more intimate setting. Not one of these massive rehabs where you can't learn anything or get individualized treatment from a therapist. I have used alcohol and drugs the past 45 years of my life trying to stop on my own lots of times but couldn't do it. When I walked through the doors I was amazed by the staff how they welcomed me. Now 8 months later after they literally loved me back to life I am proud to say that I am sober which my family thought would be impossible and very proud to be a staff member and will graduate in June of the long term program.
