Hospital is amazing! They took great care of me and brought me back to being healthy. They made my wishes come true! I recommend this hospital to those who are struggling in life!
Update: there were volunteers that were hired that were abusive towards me, I would get aggressive back. I think that there should be measures to protect future patients as well as when I stay there next time. I just want to bring this up so that future visits can be as good as the previous ones.

I didnt like my therapist at first, she talked to me more as a mental issue then a person, but I ended up transfering to a different therapist because my old one got a promotion and shes the nicest person ever, we actually bond over common intrest rather then just talking about my mental heath and what's going on in my life and I find her very fun and easy to talk to.

All the Employees and Managers are very nice and Friendly People who work at Rivervalley Behavioral Health. The difference between this treatment center and the rest has to do with the exceptional people that work there. They're non-judgmental, compassionate, they're not critical of us when we make a bad judgment call. This is they're statement "Triumphing over opioid addiction by integrating treatment, counseling and COMPASSIONATE PATIENT CARE THAT SAVES LIVES". The last sentence is remarkable, true and they mean it. I've been addicted over 40 yrs. I've wasted an entire lifetime. This is the first TX center that didn't make me feel ashamed, judged and no one working there is anything but special, caring, compassionate and kind. I've never got clean out here before. I'm about to pass up 3 months now. Very excited about this life changer. Thanks to all of you at Cape Girardeau Metro Treatment Center. You're all wonderful and caring people that make my life more worthwhile each day that passes me by. I've got so much gratitude and I can now see the forest for the trees!! Thank again!!

At first I was like, no way is this for me. But Grayson totally got where I was coming from. The groups were super age-specific and chill. I learned how to set boundaries and say no without feeling weird. They helped me prep to go back to school too. Food was decent and the space felt safe. The Bridge to Recovery opened my eyes to what needs to be put in place to live a happy, meaningful and positive life. The group interaction, is one that I’ve never experienced before in therapy, I felt “a part of” instead of “a part from”. Upon arriving, I never have felt so welcomed and a peace of knowing this is exactly where I need to be and where I want to be. Each day opened up new ways to understand self care, trauma, just life in general and how to operate effectively through it. The Bridge is a life changing place! I just spent 6 weeks at the Bridge to Recovery. Half of May and all of June 2025. It is an amazing place of healing. I believe it saved my life. I have been in recovery for over 12 years, but something was missing and I was not doing well. My son sent me the Peter Attia podcast. I believe the Universe provides you with what you need when you need it. I signed up for 4 weeks and stayed 6. I personally believe both phase 1 & 2 are critical. Phase 3 was very important for me personally. The staff and therapists are amazing and the best I have ever seen. It is a lot of hard work, a lot of tears a lot of vulnerability. You get out of it what you put into it. I walked out of there a totally different person with the tools needed to continue my healing journey. I am so grateful for everyone there. My family has seen a dramatic difference, but most importantly I am so happy with the person I am.

You have to remember they are totally dependent on the powers that be in Washington. That has to be a tough row to hoe these days. As far as to the negative reviews about the wait time. This clinic, like most VA clinics is status quo (because of overall VA policy) but there are some gems. Jason Herring is a great social worker going above and beyond for veterans. He gives great advice and practical tools for real life situations. Dr. Sprinkle is relatively new but is by far the best physician I’ve had at this clinic. She listens and gives usable advice. Her and her nurse Annie Hensley respond super fast most of the time. I feel like they care about their patients and do what they can within the restraints of the bureaucratic VA system.

When I wife was seen in the E R for my low blood, severe bleeding and bad pain I had some awesome drs who actually listened to me and didn’t let me leave in pain. I did have an issue a few times once on 5th floor due to bleeding I got three blood clots from the IV the charge nurse knew something wasn’t right so she put in for Dr to see me a ultrasound was schedule I had a Dvt and two superficial blood clots but the so called supervisor said before the ultrasound nothing is wrong even though my arm was swollen red and I couldn’t bend it. The student nurses on 5th floor were very nice and understanding they helped me and etc.. The nurse Sarah up on 5th floor very ignorant and huffs when you have a issue

This hospital provided an exceptional experience. The medical staff demonstrated remarkable attentiveness and presence, consistently remaining in the room. They took the time to explain each procedure, its purpose, and the next steps, ensuring we were well-informed. At no point did we feel like an inconvenience; they readily addressed our inquiries and ensured we had all necessary support. Despite their evident fatigue and heavy workloads, their dedication to my brother's care and our comfort was unwavering, which was truly impressive.

This place is pretty awesome as far as rehabilitation facilities go.
MAT Program handled through free grants. Somewhat supervised by staff.
The administration is what you'd expect from the field. They're human; most of them genuinely interested in seeing clients better themselves in every way. You get what you put in, and a few of them are willing to build lasting relationships that can become the foundation of a new, positive social network should you plan on staying after treatment.
They give you more than enough rope to hang yourself with, that's for sure. If you're looking for babysitters, this isn't the place. This is a program designed to quickly and efficiently get you back on your feet. You keep your cell phone and everything.
I'd recommend it to anyone except individuals literally rendered unable to care for themselves by addiction. Don't know where I'd be without them.
