I came through this facility twice. Back in 2022 I did 28 days when that was still apart of the program and completed. I came back Jan 8th, 2023 with the intentions of leaving the next day to go to a sober living because of transportation issues the day before and had no where to go. The staff greeted me with open arms and convinced me that I was right where God intended for me to be, not to mention I had a warrant. Within a week, the case department got my warrant revoked and got me back on the docket with a new court date. So I decided to do the short term again. After a couple of weeks, my brothers in the program had me really take a look at what God was doing for me and how far id come in such a short time and convinced me to sign up for long term. Life finally started to look up for me at this point. I trudged thru, learned to life skills on how to stay sober, and made some life long friends. Now... I get to give back to the program who gave some much to me. Im at their Chaplin Facility working House Management as Lead 2nd Shift Client Support. But God...

I came to Isaiah House main campus in July of 2024 hurt, broken and totally at the end of the road. I have used alcohol and drugs the past 45 years of my life trying to stop on my own lots of times but couldn't do it. When I walked through the doors I was amazed by the staff how they welcomed me. Now 8 months later after they literally loved me back to life I am proud to say that I am sober which my family thought would be impossible and very proud to be a staff member and will graduate in June of the long term program. I found God there which I had never had in my life and the tools they gave me and God's blessings I am alive now and the happiest that I have ever been in my life.
If you are struggling as I was I would recommend you call Isaiah House and let us change your life like they have mine.

I recently completed the 30-day inpatient program at Stepworks in Nicholasville, and I can honestly say it changed my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. The staff was absolutely amazing—genuine, compassionate, and truly dedicated to helping each person grow and heal. You can tell they really care.
This program gave me the push I needed to see a better side of myself. I learned so much—not just about addiction and recovery, but about who I am and what I’m capable of. The environment was supportive and safe, and the connection I made with the other clients was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never gotten closer to a group of people in such a short time. We lifted each other up every day, and that brotherhood was powerful.
Stepworks didn’t just give me tools—it gave me hope. I’m leaving stronger, clearer, and more motivated than I’ve ever been. If you’re considering this program for yourself or someone you love, I can’t recommend it enough. It truly works.

Stepworks of Nicholasville was an integral starting point for my recovery journey. I had been trying to manage my alcoholism for the past few years with limited success and finally found the help I needed here.
Staff was fantastic, my counselor Annie gave it to me straight and the support staff was friendly and professional.
Review for people that have done this dance before:
*smoke break every hour lol
*fully stocked kitchen (meal duty rotates amongst clients as a daily chore so the people making your food are also eating it so they always do a good job)
*Structured day with some levity at the end of the day (movies, sports, corn hole, basketball)
*No more than 2 to a room (I believe)
After completing my program they set me up with Roaring Brook IOP in Lexington for continuing care and sober living, the combination of the two has completely restarted my life and I am happy to be celebrating 7 months completely sober as of writing this.
Thank you to the staff at Stepworks :)

I have read the reviews and here's mine. I have been at CBH/BHG for 7 years now and without them I would not be here. I honestly believe this. I started when CBH was a stand alone company and have stayed thru the merger. So, with anything there are things that I like and don't like. However, for me this is what works and the people I deal with once every 2 weeks are wonderful and caring. I've never (knock on wood) had any issues with my drug screens and the one time my kidneys weren't working properly and I lost my take homes for 2 months was strictly so they could monitor the way my body was melatbolising the methadone so I didn't go into withdrawal or anything like that. Every nurse, DR, and staff member have always given me and my husband (been going for 9 yrs) anything we've asked for with our records and have been super supportive. Just last week, we were told by not 1 but 3 different employees that 1 person went to bat for me about what they said was an unpaid balance on my account saying they knew we would either pay it or it was a mistake because I always pay whatever I am told. Due to this the director took the unpaid amount off my acct because of this amazing woman fighting for me. I understand that yes they are corporate owned but if u have made up ur mind to lay down the life that brought u here all u have to do is the work they ask u to do and that's it. I go in, dose, get my 2 week take homes and leave. Once a month, I speak to my counselor and once a month I do my drug screen (which is either urine or mouth swab). I was on drugs for 20 yrs and I knew when I started I would be taking this slowly so I didn't relapse, but that's on me not them. They ask me all the time, if I want to taper and I tell them the same thing. I will when I'm ready! This clinic has given me the help I needed to work a full-time job that I love and be the wife and mother that my husband and children deserve. So, if u chose to go here, give it a chance! If this one isn't for you, try another one that offers the same thing but services that might work better for u.
Good Luck, God Bless and please if finally get to that "enoughs enough" point, get help but make sure you're ready to lay it all down when u walk thru the door.
