There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

Palmetto is the best treatment center in Louisiana by far. Stuart, Jerry, Joseph and Beck have certainly changed my life for the better. I would say that they gave me a life. A second chance! I was here February-March in the eating disorder specialty unit. There cannot be enough positive praise for the level of care and support I received the entire time. The intake coordinator fought for me to be able to get into this program which I have never had anyone do for me before. From the moment I arrived the staff at the front desk in admissions to all of the doctors, nurses, and mental health workers were attentive to my needs and helped me to navigate a very challenging but transformational program format. I was so thankful for having individual therapy every day as I felt that was a key to my success. The courses and classes provided were not fluff but dove into the heart of the issues most needed to be addressed. I would highly highly recommend this program for someone who is absolute recovery mode as the program will push your limits and boundaries as an individual w an eating disorder to be fully engaged and committed to recovery and relapse. My only complaint is the poor service the kitchen provided this speciality unit. The meals were often portioned incorrectly and often time who mine items were not sent at all. I believe there should be a kitchen team specifically designated for the allocation, prep, and delivery of meals to this unit as meals are the center of a patient w an eating disorder primary source of anxiety. Also it keeps staff busy trying to fix problems they shouldn t have to. It wastes time energy and also takes away from therapeutic processes. That being said I am so thankful for my experience here and highly recommended it!

Very good Rehab. Never had a problem with staff. Even when I was upset, they kept their Cool. Didn't go through cigarette d t's. They have smoke breaks to ease the whatever's. Food was somewhat good, but I'm picking anyway. Very good place to start rehab. If you have never been to one.

This program was very educational and supportive during my personal recovery journey. I met some really wonderful people, staff were friendly and caring. Paul was my counselor and I can t say enough about his true compassion and gentle yet eye opening approach in both his group classes and our individual sessions. He takes his time and genuinely seems to want to be there, helping his clients. We did 2 family sessions that really helped my husband and I improve our communication. Dr. Caudill is one of the best psychiatrists I ve ever been treated by- his bedside manner is awesome. I learned a lot about myself in 9 weeks and became much more involved in the AA program thanks to Alchemy offering on site AA meetings weekly. The group sessions allow you to check in , learn a topic, and receive support if you re needing to process something difficult. At the end of treatment you have the opportunity to share your personal story which was a big weight off my shoulders sharing where I ve been and where I am now. The certificate and chip they give you upon graduation are a really special way to celebrate completing the program. I give this outpatient rehab 5 stars for friendliness, professionalism, effectiveness and even enjoyment. Thank you Alchemy, I ll never forget this experience and most of all, thank you for helping me seize my life back.

I had the best experience here! I have tried 2 other IOPs in the area, this one is by far the best. This company really cares and they really helped me. The entire staff is kind and efficient. The doctor on staff is excellent and encouraging. I learned so much from my counselors and my group mates. I came to this place the 19th of December 2024. It was a nice facility! They treated me with respect and compassion. The techs/nurses played bingo with us, we did arts and crafts, they took us outside for fresh air, they were all for the most part very professional and caring! A few people stood out to me. Kim, Dionne, Monique, Michelle, Yvonne and Yasmin go above and beyond. My elder loved one has had issues with being suicidal and violent. The staff handled it with grace and understanding. When my loved one was threatening staff they used gentle redirection and accountability. Doctors try to manage meds as best as possible but it's so hard on a 14day PEC.Only criticism is that MDs couldn't give her more time for med adjustments and stability of mood. I know a lot of people have elder family members who go through mental health challenges but in this area? Have gone through a few with my loved one.Perimeter is okay too, very caring people but the physicians at Perimeter did not do as much as the physicians at Oceans have done! Out of several hospitals and mental health facilities the physicians at Oceans have been the only ones willing to treat her mental challenges by observing and watching. Making changes through medication management and obverving again.Beacon team in Metarie are amazing (ask for Katherine). But AVOID BEACON IN LACOMBE!!! They will put your loved one in an unsafe discharge situation. Avoid social worker Shaun.Oceans? They would never do that. It's not 5 star, but take it from someone who definitely understands family/ patient challenges-- Have faith in Oceans. They will surprise you.

My experience with this facility was only positive. Michelle, Yasmine and the nursing staff kept me updated nearly daily with phone calls or texts. They were genuinely concerned for my family member and worked hard to help them. Very grateful to them.

If it weren't for St. Christopher's we would still be wading through the confusion of what to do about our alcoholic loved one. The pain was close to unbearable. We were all lost and so very tired. St. Chris was recommended to us and the counselors and techs there made the difference. After three months, our loved one graduated and transitioned with the help of staff. The combination of medical supervision, group therapy, and 24/7 supervision was the key to finding the path we are on now. Our alcoholic is over six months sober and proud. It's a day at a time, but we are thankful for this second chance, given to us by the caring folks at St. Christopher's.

NOLA Detox saved my life. Treatment there has given me hope and the tools I need to beat my addiction. Their team of mental and behavioral health professionals helped me every step of the way.Throughout my 28 day stay the clinical team put together a comprehensive care plan. That included medication assisted treatment, group, individual, & family therapy, one on one psychiatrist visits, and recovery groups. Additionally I took part in the professional training group sessions and nutrition & wellness discussions that were offered.I enjoyed the Queen sized bed and the large plasma screen Roku TV in my Patient Suite. My two roommates and I enjoyed binge watching on Netflix.Copeland's provided the many delicious options at mealtimes. My clothes were even sent out to a professional laundry service.A nature trail and lush grounds were well maintained and ideal for jogging, walking, and meditation.My stay wouldn't have been what it was if it wasn't for the kind and empathetic staff that went above and beyond. I left Narconon in September of 2022.I am enrolled in school now with my own apartment, car, and healthy relationships with all my friends and family.Considering I came from about as rock bottom as it could get (broken hearted, socially despised, and facing felony charges), I have completely altered the outcome of my life with the help of these dedicated and knowledgeable staff members.This is a 10 star place! The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve.From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives.The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. The unrivaled support and relationships you acquire here will last you a lifetime, but you have to first be honest with yourself.I don t mean to put down anyone s subjective experience, however, the one star views prove to me presence of an intense bias.Proof? I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting. I thoroughly appreciated the activities and concepts that we explored. His group was open-minded and empathetic and was a place for growth, healing, and connection for me.
