There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

Dr. Monette is a great psychiatrist. I've been seeing him for about 11 years & he has helped me tremendously. He is very caring & genuinely listens. I hope he never leaves. The staff is friendly also. The counselors are a different story from my experience.

This program was very educational and supportive during my personal recovery journey. I met some really wonderful people, staff were friendly and caring. Paul was my counselor and I can’t say enough about his true compassion and gentle yet eye opening approach in both his group classes and our individual sessions. He takes his time and genuinely seems to want to be there, helping his clients. We did 2 family sessions that really helped my husband and I improve our communication. Dr. Caudill is one of the best psychiatrists I’ve ever been treated by- his bedside manner is awesome. I learned a lot about myself in 9 weeks and became much more involved in the AA program thanks to Alchemy offering on site AA meetings weekly. The group sessions allow you to “check in”, learn a topic, and receive support if you’re needing to process something difficult. At the end of treatment you have the opportunity to share your personal story which was a big weight off my shoulders sharing where I’ve been and where I am now. The certificate and chip they give you upon graduation are a really special way to celebrate completing the program. I give this outpatient rehab 5 stars for friendliness, professionalism, effectiveness and even enjoyment. Thank you Alchemy, I’ll never forget this experience and most of all, thank you for helping me seize my life back.

I had the best experience here! I have tried 2 other IOPs in the area, this one is by far the best. This company really cares and they really helped me. The entire staff is kind and efficient. The doctor on staff is excellent and encouraging. I learned so much from my counselors and my group mates. Thank you so much to Paul, Caroline, Tyra, Charla, Nurse Niki, Dr Caudill , Brittany, Evan, Sam, and the rest of the staff!

This place has improved greatly and you DO get out of it what you put into it. I must say though, with the exception of the receptionist, Mrs. V, and the nurses, management is still a bit rude.Ive been spoken down to quite a few times for no good reason, but overall it is a good option of you're serious about getting clean.

I have been a professional interventionist since 2010. I was introduced to this program in 2012. I have been referring there since then. My clients have always had a positive experience and the clinical and support staff are the most responsive and knowledgeable. They want what’s best for the client and the family and have long term options. They do very well young adult males and most recently I referred a 69 year old man first time treatment. It was a family member and he’s doing very well and committed to 90 days of treatment. I can’t thank the clinical staff and administrators enough for the program they have created. (if you could even call the 1st that) and just by the level of care, commitment, compassion shown, and individual concern shown by each and every one of the members at NOLA DETOX, ALL of whom go above and beyond for every single patient and/or resident that comes into their care. Words alone, just simply cannot describe. If you are just sick of living the way you have been. Or you want to be the person that you know you are capable of being. You owe it to yourself to give yourself the best chance of recovery success you can find and call the people at NOLA DETOX. From the executive director Cedric Royal. The head nurse Ms. Opal. All of the resident nurses, Yoshi, Jovianna, Stephanie, Ariel, Sam, just to name a few. Then there are the techs Jonathan, Danielle, Derrick, Kevin, Ms. Aqua, Cherry, India, Hunter, Adam, Ms. Kendra, and yes, even Patrick.(😁Lol). Jonathan, my counselor has been a godsend in innumerable ways, and is a wonderful person and someone who I call not just a friend. But a brother. And that is a very beautiful thing, indeed...The entirety of it is a one of a kind experience that you receive there that let's you know NOLA DETOX is NOT JUST ANOTHER treatment facility. They are all a FAMILY, and the environment and atmosphere I recommend and suggest highly to anyone looking for treatment to reach out to admissions without hesitation... Residential treatment and their follow-up IOP services are both first class. And they are what I owe my recovery, my health, and my present-day sobriety to. As well as the wellbeing and sobriety of some people whom I love dearly. It was MY actions and MY choices that had led to the unmanageable state of a mess that my life was in. Having tried it my way so many times and each time falling short, I was so close to giving up. As long as your respectful and mindful and respect their time and effort they put in helping you without even knowing you but all these staff members show you love and kindness that you haven't experienced in a long time. and without any judgment and putting you down becasue they been in your shoes and know what you are feeling and going thru casue basically all have been where you are. This is a life changing program trust me when it say that and I garuntee if you really want and take your sobriety serious then this is where you want to go and be. Please if your second guessing if you should go just take the leap of faith and go. you won't regret it and you'll be glad you did. The place is super clean . The food is amazing. Your stay is very comfortable. They try to remove any obstacle that can or will deter you from achieving sobriety so that you can just focus on you and your sobriety. After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting. I thoroughly appreciated the activities and concepts that we explored. His group was open-minded and empathetic and was a place for growth, healing, and connection for me. I was in here for about 2 weeks. It was alright. Staff were rude and careless, but not all. So many activities to do, a large gym where you can play your own music which is therapeutic for me, art stuff, and outdoor activities. kid in a wheelchair got the proper help, ect ect.. Overall not the best hospital, but a good one.

A few things about Covington Behavioral Health!
I was a recent patient here a few days ago. This was my second time around. They ended up putting me in Unit B, which was absolutely awful. The technicians were yelling at patients, ripping off the magnetic bathroom doors, and were extremely emotionless. I ended up having a panic attack, and told one of the charge nurses, she then told me I had to wait 30 mins till medicine time at 8pm. I ended up sitting there shaking and crying the entire time! Not even one of those people comforted me or asked me if I was okay. It felt more like a chore for them than their job. I ended up calling my mother who complained and I asked to be moved to Unit A (Calm Unit). I have nothing but amazing reviews for Unit A. The nurses are amazing. The techs are amazing. Doctors are amazing. The patients are even better over there because it is a place for people with certain problems who want a more quiet space and can heal peacefully! The only BAD thing about this place is the food. Some of it is okay, but they should really have healthier options for people who are healing. Portion sizes should be bigger too, because some of us are taking medicines that make us hungrier or even getting our appetites back! Consider it. Thank you to everyone who helped me here. I can not appreciate everyone enough.

I am so grateful for this place and the wonderful staff! I have been going here for 7 years and have remain SOBER for every single day since I first stepped foot in the building. The Baton Rouge comprehensive Treatment Center has saved my life! The nurses, counselors, and other staff, are always so kind. They genuinely make you feel important here. Of course everything has its negatives, but the good completely outweighs the bad. I recommend this treatment center to anyone who is battling addiction to opioids. You don't have to do it alone! I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. I have been a patient since before Katrina. I get reminders about appointments, calls from the pharmacy to check each month how I am doing with medications before they send them to me. My counselor is a very nice person that goes out of there way to make me comfortable and happy. My doctors a little rough around the edges, but the job gets done and done right.
