A true gift.
Ashley rehabilitation center was recommended by over 40 individuals I know in AA. They provide phenomenal service, especially compared almost all other rehabilitation centers. It is no wonder it is in the top 3 in the US.
Please do not be discouraged by negative reviews, those are individuals who thought one month in a center can cure a lifelong disease that requires daily work for life, and thought rehab should be a vacation.
This facility is beautiful. Most other rehab canters are in one building; here it is like a college campus. Ashley provides daily small group therapy, others rehabs offer one per 2 weeks.
Here one receives 1 to 1 therapy weekly as well, ranging from psychology, psychiatry, therapy, spiritual wellness, and even social therapy. In addition, useful tasks are given to help you in your recovery. Those that don’t put in the work are the ones who suffer relapse.
The food is cooked by chefs, not cooks. The only food item not made from scratch is the bagels. Don’t bother hoarding any food in your room for later, you will always be full.
You won’t find this quality of food in most all other rehabs; some rehabs even ration food for the day.
There are more than double the employees than there are patients. Those employees really derive joy from helping others.
Finally: this facility heavily promotes 12 step groups such as AA or NA. 12 step recovery fellowships are the only way to maintain long term sobriety/clean time. Those who fail sobriety are those that want a 1 month quick fix. It requires lifelong treatment.
Know that nothing is going to “work” on, or “fix” your addiction/alcoholism. We spent time out of our lives, and put work in, to use our drug of choice, therefore it will take time and work to stay clean.
Anybody going to rehab with expectations of being pampered, like it’s supposed to be a resort, don’t bother wasting their time. Let the bed go to someone that wants to change their life and is ready to work for it.
I have the upmost confidence in my sobriety because I gained the tools at Ashley, and will work for the remainder of my life, daily, in AA.

Wonderfully serene environment in which to heal and be fully embraced by a very caring, empathic staff. My only complaint was after I left, someone in Admissions was very rude to me the day after I left when I wanted to be connected to the nursing station to thank a certain nurse that made an integral impact on me during my stay. The fact that this woman refused to transfer me or to even take a message for me “if they did happen to have a person on staff there named ________,” was unacceptable. I had interfaced with every single person in that office daily. Also, I have had zero feedback from the alumni website. Supposedly there are rewards for participation, and I have been keeping my daily activities logged , my meetings and appointments diligently, with zero feedback. I do not see the point. It is not very inspiring for continuing motivation of retention purposes, imho.

This place saved my life! From the time I walked through the door just three days after my suicide attempt I felt SAFE and with folks who understood what was going on. Once home I realized that I wasn’t 100%. After three weeks home I returned on my own. Today I can proudly say that I have helped several others enjoy the life after The Hog! I am still in contact with many of the staff members who I call family. Don’t ever feel like getting help is a weakness. The HoG is awesome!

The Harbor of Grace helped me gain valuable tools to help with my depression and SI. The staff taught me that it is OK to not be ok and that it is more than acceptable to ask for help in a time of crisis. I would recommend that any first responder going through a difficult time with eother substance abuse or mental health issues to buy in to your own treatment and allow Harbor of Grace to assist you in that treatment.

As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too. The hospital is spotless, you can choose the food you'd like to eat for 3 meals a day, and it tastes 😋 good. TVs 📺 aren't in the room, but they are in the Dayroom, along with pool tables, etc. It's even open to Veterans from other states. Sometimes it's difficult to admit the need for help, but hopefully, someone will take the time to read this and reach out.

I love this VA Center. The staff are excellent! The Physician assigned to me is great. Whenever I have a medical problem, I get an appointment at a reasonable time and they listen to the symptoms I have and do a great job getting to the route cause. The amount of time it takes for labs, x-rays, and MRIs is phenomenal. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their service.

I have been on methadone maintenance for a long time over 15 years. Most of my experience was with BD Health in baltimore. Once I changed to medmark my eyes were open to a whole new way of treatment. Before when I was at BD I felt like I was just a gas and go paycheck. I never got counseling. The treatment plans were just bullshitted. Here at medmark my counselor Mary is extremely helpful. Over the course of the time that I've been there she has realized what works best with us when we do our counseling sessions. She realizes that I do not have too many outlets so she lets me open the floodgates and for my heart out to her and it's always judgment free. I can tell that she is on my side 100%. Also the front staff Miss Cindy is absolutely amazing. She is completely professional extremely helpful to answer any questions. I also want to compliment the nursing staff. They have always been extremely polite and extremely professional. I'm extremely grateful to be getting my treatment at medmark. Thank you

This is a great place to be if you need help. I have been coming here for all most 2 years. Everyone here is so caring, kind, nice & friendly. I never had an issue with the staff. There are rules we all must follow for all the nay sayers. I leave MEDMARK BELCAMP with a happy feeling that someone cares for me. They are all good people.

Wanted to start off by saying ATOM! was a very huge part of my road to recovery. They helped me so many ways show me love, Supported me even when I was being an asshole. I completed this program three times Because the program works, I just wasn’t ready and still did what I wanted to do. The things that they taught me the love they showed me in the support that I got made me realize that people do care that I am not alone. My counselor did an amazing job. The director did an amazing job. The groups were amazing. The houses were amazing. The areas were amazing the activities we did were very helpful. It taught me a lot and here. I am now four years later still clean and I work here now I must say I honestly do understand that life is not perfect. A lot of people has to grasp the fact that no program is perfect. They will give you the tools, but you have to put in your own footwork. Nobody should fight for your life as hard as you and I fought for mine so I wanna see. This review is for the BD HEALTH LOCATED AT 6706 Holabird Ave. That's the one I pulled up to review but I noticed it's coming up under the wrong location...I really like everyone here they've always been so nice and supportive! Natasha who does the testing here is extremely caring kind and just genuinely likes helping others. She's collected clothes shoes and more for those in need. My counselor Mrs. Yolanda is amazing!!! I have never in my life had a counselor truly care about my well being . You really saved me from a lot of pain I appreciate you always being up front and real . I can't imagine the lives you touch and how many others you help. You have Mrs. Rhonda another amazing women who was my counselor before. And Jess the nurse is the sweetest she can always make you smile . Gabby that pretty face you see when you walk in such a doll I love talking with her.. Not only do all these women do there jobs they make the time you are there comfortable and they actually treat you like a human being not a junkie . I have seen people dissing the Dr I don't know why she does her job . She's not rude she just does her job so I don't see why people are making bad comments about her.. I was upset the other day and regret making the review that I had that isn't how I truly feel I was just taking my anger out and that's not like me I believe in the if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all .. I apologize for my recent post I was just upset over the situation and instead of being the adult I am I was a child for a moment. I started going here when they originally opened. In fact I started the second day they opened. I really like this place. The owners (Jason & MOSHA) really care and do whatever they can to help you better yourself and become successful. They have went above and beyond my expectations. After about 9 years I transferred to another location of theirs. At that location I received the same level of treatment. I can’t recommend this place enough !!!

I think Key Point Health Services is a great place to receive care for mental health - I know I'm not the only one! The staff have always been kind and courteous and have shown great compassion! My therapist, Mary Ellen, is amazing! For the first time in my life, I have been able to open up and have been honest with myself and my feelings thanks to her. I'm a work in progress, and for me progress is cherished. Sometimes I don't want to talk about the tough stuff that I need to face, which she understands, but she has a way of helping me think about it in a way that makes it hurt not so much. She has shown so much empathy and compassion! I think that's a huge reason I am able to open up to her. She understands! My psychiatrist is also great and is always on board with what is happening in my life and helps maintain the meds I need to make a positive difference in my life.
