My name is Mary Ann Weippert and I'd like to share my opinion with anyone in need of help for mental illness. First of all Vesta Inc is the best place to seek help. I love Vesta and the wonderful Doctors they have. I've struggled since 1997 with manic depressive bipolar because of my little girls tragic death. I've gone to many doctors over the years and finally several years ago I found Vesta. The team of doctors and therapist work together to assure I get all my needs met. And the clinical director Kristen Davis is outstanding and really cares for all the patients that come to her facility. I'll never go anywhere else.

I don't agree with the negative feed abt Vesta...I've only had one child attend years ago n it was definitely doing my child justice..Now each child has to be treated differently depending there need..But the place picked the children up fter school no matter the area with in reason and drop them back home. They also took the children on trip an for those reasons my son use to look forward to going. My son is now 21years old n still talks abt this place.. I plan send my other son very soon this year.

I had a very good experience at TW. The facility is very nice, as are the grounds. While the houses always seem cold, I slept well in very comfortable beds. I found the therapists very engaging and helpful with a big focus on the root causes of the substance abuse. The education groups were also good particularly if you’re struggling with the higher power concept. There are some dumb rules and I strongly recommend the RG houses rather than the main house. The main house is very busy all day. The pool, hot tub and sauna are all great amenities. Enjoyed the massage and acupuncture therapies. The yoga and cellular healing were less than expected. If you’re serious about recovery I highly recommend this place.

I found my time at the Arnold location POP was most helpful in my recovery. The staff was educational in the topics discussed and interactive with us to make sure we engaged and participated. The opportunity to attend classes in a hybrid setting was convenient and gave me more flexibility to reach my goals. On the hole, this was a facility and staff gets high marks all around. If you find yourself in need of these services provided The Arnold location would be my first choice.

We are and have been incredibly impressed with MARC’S recovery program. This is so much more than just a 30-day inpatient program. This is round 2 with our son in an inpatient 30-day program. First round included 60-day housing program with another recovery team. Choosing MARC after a 30-day inpatient, has gone beyond our expectations. The plan of treatment was SO individualized to our son’s needs. The program included substance recovery and truly addressed his mental health. The communication with the staff was clear and quick to respond. The program incorporated weekly family therapy which educated us on addiction and taught us how to communicate again without waking on “eggshells.” The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my son’s success. The program provided the tools, support, and guidance he needed to rebuild his life and strengthen my relationships with our family. Including family in the recovery process has made a tremendous difference and helped create a strong foundation for lasting recovery. His courage and confidence have made him a strong individual. We highly recommend this program to anyone seeking comprehensive, compassionate care with a successful recovery. My son has chosen to remain with his therapist as his outpatient. The trust and bound with his therapist is strong.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Sandstone. Our teen was making terrible choices and nothing we were doing as parents was working. Sandstone’s whole of person concept of care was everything our family needed. The program provided a personal therapist for our teen; along with twice a day group therapy sessions; pet therapy; nature walks; and fun group outings. They also provided us a family therapist and offered voluntary group therapy sessions for all the parents who currently had teens in the program, which was a great resource and helped my husband and I feel less alone. From the intake to the out processing, my teen reported feeling safe and well cared for and my husband and I shared that sentiment. We were a little nervous going in because of the online reviews, but if your family is struggling with a teen with addiction, we highly recommend this place. Our teen did say that the food was terrible, but I’d rather the food be terrible and the program be excellent than the other way around. Our teen just started college and said the program was a great way to reset and get back on track.

My experience from day one, has been extremely positive. I have had support presently and in the past. All the Staff are very positive, supporting and fight for you, when you might need a little more extra help, due to some mental issues or physical, or emotional. They are there for you 100% . CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

I cannot recommend this program enough! After months of trying with no success we have found a program for my mom that finally wields some results! Such an amazing and supportive staff that welcomed her with open arms and unwavering kindness. They have shown countless times that they will never give up on their patients! My inspiring experience at Kolmac, I was compelled to seek intensive rehab by my specialist. Reason being to do otherwise would mean the surgeons wouldn't operate. My blood scores gave me 18 months. I was in a wheel chair, Could barely walk, Everything hurt. I was a pretty useless human at the time. I chose Kolmac because I couldn't get somewhere in person. Looking back it was the best way for me to get over my skepticism of rehab or therapy. I'm older gen x, sorry its in my nature. It took about 3 weeks before it sunk in. I realized I had no time left. I looked at that 18 months. This is what I have to work with. I control this last 18. I'm going to fake it if I have to. I did at first but, turns out my self is pretty gullible. Kolmac helped me get my mind right. I got better at dealing with bad news. Loved ones started to notice. I started to meditate when I couldn't sleep. I prayed to God. Don't let my last days be the sad part of a country song. Then my scores started to improve. I physically improved. I had more time, which coincided with the gift of a living donor. Then setbacks. A rollercoaster. All the while I had the soft pillow of Kolmac friends to help. Everyone has their monster. My health was mine. There is a special bond that you developed with other recovering alcoholics. I notice we seek each other out at parties. The battle of recovery is brutal and I learned a lot from my fellow Kolmac warriors and waryetts I love and care about them like family which makes it so hard to move on. So back to the grind. Life doesn't always go the way I want. I have the tools to deal with it. I've found peace and happiness in the quiet spaces of my day. I've come a long way in 18 months. I trust my sobriety which in turn inspires others and makes them happy. Paul

Going in I was apprehension as the program is intensive. But after one group session, I felt completely at ease. I began looking forward to groups, and meeting with my counselor. They keep in touch with you intermittently throughout the program to make sure that you’re adjusting to Kolmac. Safety, and accountability are also of the utmost importance, which I truly appreciated. Overall, Kolmac gave me more tools to add to my toolbelt, while keeping me engaged and challenging me. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, Kolmac and Lisa!

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. I have lived in Frederick for the last two years and have done recovery in that area for the last two consecutive years as well when I made the decision to come back to Anne Arundel County to be closer to family. The only place I did an application for was Evolve. A few years later, I did an interview and was accepted the same day. About a week before my dishwasher we called to let them know. I was being close to being discharged. We were notified and I was on a waitlist and I was pretty far down the waitlist and I went into full panic mode because I had no Plan B and I did not want a Plan B!!! I had heard nothing but positive things about Evolve from personal close friends that are in recovery. That weekend, I did a lot of self advocating in my higher power was definitely on my side because Tuesday I was told that I was leaving the next day. So far, my experience has been great here. Everybody has been extremely friendly, including staff and my peers. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out! I can’t wait to see where the next six months brings me! But I am forever grateful that Evolve will be part of my journey.

**2nd UPDATE** Going on 8 years clean and still going strong!! 👍🏋️‍♂️ I went from not having 2 nickels to rub together to now, I own my own company, I own my own home and I am so grateful to Pathways for getting me here. Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. I remember the food was good too that's always a plus cuz you never wanna eat depending on what drugs you were on.

I cannot recommend this program enough! After months of trying with no success we have found a program for my mom that finally wields some results! Such an amazing and supportive staff that welcomed her with open arms and unwavering kindness. They have shown countless times that they will never give up on their patients! Huge shout out to Cindy and Pete for SAVING my mom and offering her a 2nd family. What a kind, forgiving and uplifting group of professionals. Again, thank you to everyone involved for saving my mom and bringing out a version of her i haven’t seen for a very long time.
