I love Vesta and the wonderful Doctors they have. I've struggled since 1997 with manic depressive bipolar because of my little girls tragic death. I've gone to many doctors over the years and finally several years ago I found Vesta. The team of doctors and therapist work together to assure I get all my needs met. And the clinical director Kristen Davis is outstanding and really cares for all the patients that come to her facility. I'll never go anywhere else. Marytigress 4 years ago I don't agree with the negative feed abt Vesta...I've only had one child attend years ago n it was definitely doing my child justice..Now each child has to be treated differently depending there need..But the place picked the children up fter school no matter the area with in reason and drop them back home. They also took the children on trip an for those reasons my son use to look forward to going. My son is now 21years old n still talks abt this place.. I plan send my other son very soon this year. Tranquility woods rehabilitation center helped me find myself and taught me so much about addiction and recovery. The staff at Tranquility woods were very kind and understanding. I was treated with respect and courtesy. The food was great. I have gained about 20 pounds while staying here. The amenities were great. They have salt water pool and gym. For someone who likes working out and needed structure and routine it was a great place for me to recover mentally, physically and also spiritually. They have outings on Saturdays which was great. Went bowling, and go karting. Also did volunteer work for the first time and it felt great. They take you to church on Sundays. I have met and made many friends here and If you are serious about recovery and want to get better I highly recommend Tranquility woods whether it’s your first time or multiple times. This is so much more than just a 30-day inpatient program. This is round 2 with our son in an inpatient 30-day program. First round included 60-day housing program with another recovery team. Choosing MARC after a 30-day inpatient, has gone beyond our expectations. The plan of treatment was SO individualized to our son’s needs. The program included substance recovery and truly addressed his mental health. The communication with the staff was clear and quick to respond. The program incorporated weekly family therapy which educated us on addiction and taught us how to communicate again without waking on “eggshells.” The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my son’s success. The program provided the tools, support, and guidance he needed to rebuild his life and strengthen my relationships with our family. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. They are all very passionate about their job and they make u feel welcomed and safe . They also provided us a family therapist and offered voluntary group therapy sessions for all the parents who currently had teens in the program, which was a great resource and helped my husband and I feel less alone. From the intake to the out processing, my teen reported feeling safe and well cared for and my husband and I shared that sentiment. We were a little nervous going in because of the online reviews, but if your family is struggling with a teen with addiction, we highly recommend this place. Our teen did say that the food was terrible, but I’d rather the food be terrible and the program be excellent than the other way around.
