A true gift.
Ashley rehabilitation center was recommended by over 40 individuals I know in AA. They provide phenomenal service, especially compared almost all other rehabilitation centers. It is no wonder it is in the top 3 in the US.
Please do not be discouraged by negative reviews, those are individuals who thought one month in a center can cure a lifelong disease that requires daily work for life, and thought rehab should be a vacation.
This facility is beautiful. Most other rehab canters are in one building; here it is like a college campus. Ashley provides daily small group therapy, others rehabs offer one per 2 weeks.
Here one receives 1 to 1 therapy weekly as well, ranging from psychology, psychiatry, therapy, spiritual wellness, and even social therapy. In addition, useful tasks are given to help you in your recovery. Those that don’t put in the work are the ones who suffer relapse.
The food is cooked by chefs, not cooks. The only food item not made from scratch is the bagels. Don’t bother hoarding any food in your room for later, you will always be full.
You won’t find this quality of food in most all other rehabs; some rehabs even ration food for the day.
There are more than double the employees than there are patients. Those employees really derive joy from helping others.
Finally: this facility heavily promotes 12 step groups such as AA or NA. 12 step recovery fellowships are the only way to maintain long term sobriety/clean time. Those who fail sobriety are those that want a 1 month quick fix. It requires lifelong treatment.
Know that nothing is going to “work” on, or “fix” your addiction/alcoholism. We spent time out of our lives, and put work in, to use our drug of choice, therefore it will take time and work to stay clean.
Anybody going to rehab with expectations of being pampered, like it’s supposed to be a resort, don’t bother wasting their time. Let the bed go to someone that wants to change their life and is ready to work for it.
I have the upmost confidence in my sobriety because I gained the tools at Ashley, and will work for the remainder of my life, daily, in AA.

Wonderfully serene environment in which to heal and be fully embraced by a very caring, empathic staff. My only complaint was after I left, someone in Admissions was very rude to me the day after I left when I wanted to be connected to the nursing station to thank a certain nurse that made an integral impact on me during my stay. The fact that this woman refused to transfer me or to even take a message for me “if they did happen to have a person on staff there named ________,” was unacceptable. I had interfaced with every single person in that office daily. Also, I have had zero feedback from the alumni website. Supposedly there are rewards for participation, and I have been keeping my daily activities logged , my meetings and appointments diligently, with zero feedback. I do not see the point. It is not very inspiring for continuing motivation of retention purposes, imho.

This place saved my life! From the time I walked through the door just three days after my suicide attempt I felt SAFE and with folks who understood what was going on. Once home I realized that I wasn’t 100%. After three weeks home I returned on my own. Today I can proudly say that I have helped several others enjoy the life after The Hog! The Harbor of Grace helped me gain valuable tools to help with my depression and SI. The staff taught me that it is OK to not be ok and that it is more than acceptable to ask for help in a time of crisis. I would recommend that any first responder going through a difficult time with eother substance abuse or mental health issues to buy in to your own treatment and allow Harbor of Grace to assist you in that treatment.

They don't help you recover, they just keep you addicted and in the cycle. I recommend anyone who wants true help, to seek a therapist and find support from non drug using people in our community, that want to help you. DH and other drug clinics use this crutch to keep you stuck. I have not seen one successful case, not one person, come out of treatment and have the skills needed to live a happy and productive life. The groups focus around the negative rather than them taking control and turning into a positive to try and help people think differently, and this is exactly why it isn't working. CBT therapy is highly recommended to help people learn to think differently but they don't use this technique...🙄
The only people I've seen succeed are the ones who chose to leave this clinic and any other clinic and seek help from non-opioid choices, CBT, and licensed therapists- rather than the drug pushers they call therapists here.

I can't express in words, how much of a great and compassionate person the owner Pete is. He's a very stand up guy, when I had a problem that conflicted with my hours of school (I'm doing remote from 9:30am-4:30pm). Pete went out of his way to make sure, I could still attend my groups virtually from their IOP residential home during the evenings. When the house manager said I couldn't do this, Pete went and made some calls to accommodate me, so I could get the help I needed while also being able to pursue my dreams in getting a job in IT support. Thanks Pete 😊 🫂 🙏. If you're in need of assistance they are very welcoming at the office aswell. The front desk assistant Hunter was very supportive and understanding of my situation any questions I had she answered promptly and kindly. They offered drinks and food to us while we did our intake an everything. I truly appreciate 🙏 and recommend them to anyone in need of stability while trying to get clean or stay sober. They will provide transportation also to and from there office. Hope's Horizon and their sister company Atom is one of the best rehabilitation centers out there 💯👍. As a service-connected disabled veteran that has been in the VA system 1994, I love being able to receive my primary care closer to home. For years I went to the Lebanon VAMC for ALL my healthcare needs and the drive alone made it inconvenient. Let alone the constant construction and parking lot mess. The care at Lebanon VAMC is wonderful but the facility is big and busy so the much closer Lancaster VA at Willow Street is a godsend for me. The front desk, lab, nurses and my PCP are incredible. Very clean office, very quiet peaceful office and generally there is plenty of nearby parking, unlike Lebanon VAMC.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.
I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn’t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication.
I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much.
I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!

Amatus Health as a company and organization is top notch in my experience. My personal story began at ADC(Atlanta Detox Center) where I was greeted by friendly faces and warm welcomes-I was treated like a human being and comforted through my detox. Then I went on to GATC(Georgia Addiction Treatment Center) for my next level of care-where the same warm welcome was extended.
I always felt safe and cared for. Groups helped me develop insight and awareness. The clinical staff remained vigilant and available for my recovery planning and stayed willing to help.
I am now 9 months clean and I owe a huge part of my new life to Amatus Health-ADC&GATC.

I go here, I have since December so it's been 6 months now. And while I like it here and everyone is so nice and kind. Everything moves slow. I understand they have other people and other paperwork being pushed through, I've just personally never been to a clinic that is this slow with process paperwork. Like every 30 days you're eligible for phasing up if you're doing good and everything looks good clean urines etc I've had clean Urines for almost 2 1/2 years and been here 6 months and STILL coming in twice a week. The last clinic I was at I had already gotten 2 weeks take homes by the time I was going on my 3rd month! So if paperwork could get processed faster this place would be great! So for that reason I'm only giving 4 starts!

I've been a client here for awhile....I just read some of the reviews left by former clients & employees... most if not all of the problems they listed either have been dealt with.... or did not occur in suite 201....now suite 101....I don't go there so I can't say... but wait times have improved significantly upstairs, I'm very happy with my current counselor, Ms Betty...and hope things stay this way.

Well- very good methadone program. You are assigned a counselor. You attend groups to help keep you sober. They do drug test with surprise drug test weekly monthly depending on how long you have been with the program and if your urine are clean. They understand relapses happen. My favorite part is if you give clean urines-see your counselor-go to groups-report to recalls- you do earn take homes. You start out coming to medmark 6 days a week. But you can earn take homes after a few months and only have to come in every 2 weeks or once a month. Best decision of my life.
