My 28 days at Ashley were great. Psa's are on it. There for any questions or concerns you have. My counselor Jamie Scott weather in Group or individual sessions was always Professional and you could tell she cared about your recovery and well being!

A true gift.
Ashley rehabilitation center was recommended by over 40 individuals I know in AA. They provide phenomenal service, especially compared almost all other rehabilitation centers. It is no wonder it is in the top 3 in the US.
Please do not be discouraged by negative reviews, those are individuals who thought one month in a center can cure a lifelong disease that requires daily work for life, and thought rehab should be a vacation.
This facility is beautiful. Most other rehab canters are in one building; here it is like a college campus. Ashley provides daily small group therapy, others rehabs offer one per 2 weeks.
Here one receives 1 to 1 therapy weekly as well, ranging from psychology, psychiatry, therapy, spiritual wellness, and even social therapy. In addition, useful tasks are given to help you in your recovery. Those that don’t put in the work are the ones who suffer relapse.
The food is cooked by chefs, not cooks. The only food item not made from scratch is the bagels. Don’t bother hoarding any food in your room for later, you will always be full.
You won’t find this quality of food in most all other rehabs; some rehabs even ration food for the day.
There are more than double the employees than there are patients. Those employees really derive joy from helping others.
Finally: this facility heavily promotes 12 step groups such as AA or NA. 12 step recovery fellowships are the only way to maintain long term sobriety/clean time. Those who fail sobriety are those that want a 1 month quick fix. It requires lifelong treatment.
Know that nothing is going to “work” on, or “fix” your addiction/alcoholism. We spent time out of our lives, and put work in, to use our drug of choice, therefore it will take time and work to stay clean.
Anybody going to rehab with expectations of being pampered, like it’s supposed to be a resort, don’t bother wasting their time. Let the bed go to someone that wants to change their life and is ready to work for it.
I have the upmost confidence in my sobriety because I gained the tools at Ashley, and will work for the remainder of my life, daily, in AA.

Wonderfully serene environment in which to heal and be fully embraced by a very caring, empathic staff. My only complaint was after I left, someone in Admissions was very rude to me the day after I left when I wanted to be connected to the nursing station to thank a certain nurse that made an integral impact on me during my stay. The fact that this woman refused to transfer me or to even take a message for me “if they did happen to have a person on staff there named ________,” was unacceptable. I had interfaced with every single person in that office daily. Also, I have had zero feedback from the alumni website. Supposedly there are rewards for participation, and I have been keeping my daily activities logged , my meetings and appointments diligently, with zero feedback. I do not see the point. It is not very inspiring for continuing motivation of retention purposes, imho.

This place saved my life! From the time I walked through the door just three days after my suicide attempt I felt SAFE and with folks who understood what was going on. Once home I realized that I wasn’t 100%. After three weeks home I returned on my own. Today I can proudly say that I have helped several others enjoy the life after The Hog! I am still in contact with many of the staff members who I call family. Don’t ever feel like getting help is a weakness. The HoG is awesome!

The Harbor of Grace helped me gain valuable tools to help with my depression and SI. The staff taught me that it is OK to not be ok and that it is more than acceptable to ask for help in a time of crisis. I would recommend that any first responder going through a difficult time with eother substance abuse or mental health issues to buy in to your own treatment and allow Harbor of Grace to assist you in that treatment.

I came to maryland recovery after completing a stay at another rehab i was here back in 2022 during the time i was here my father was dieing of cancer and they allowed me to leave more then once to go see him in the hospital and then in hospice the director of the program chris and the clinical staff along with my counselor really showed empathy and support and was there for me during this difficult time in my life my father ended up passing away the day I left MRP ill have 3 years sobriety on October 27th Maryland recovery really built a strong foundation for me and early recovery i would highly recommend this program to all

I've been in 7 short n long term programs in Baltimore City with my wife Amanda. She passed away September 17th 2024 at 33yrs old. I was not just lost, broken hopeless n suicidal but much worse because the love of my life was gone forever. I thought I'd accepted it was the end for me n that there was no God. Being at my worst i found Amanda was still guiding me even when I didn't know it. Today I can say she helped me find MRP n put some of the best people in my life. I am so very grateful for Maryland recovery n the amazing clinical staff Alex,Kim,Doug, Brittany, Crystal, April,Laura, Carrie, Jessica and Stephanie. They not just did their jobs to the highest standard as well as showed me dignity and respect while doing it. They all gave me what I wanted n needed to want to live life again, setting me up for success, giving me a solid foundation like I never had before.
The PSA's Matt, Hayden ,Big Drew, Jeff,Paul, both Lisa's and Nikki literally made me feel like I was not just a person but part of a big "recovery"family that truly cared about me , my needs and wants. They all took the time to get to know me, guide me and shared very helpful personal stories about themselves or someone they knew that has or was going through something like i was. I didn't feel different or alone anymore but part of something bigger. I can honestly say i see things in all of them that id like to see in myself one day as i continue to grow and move forward in life. I see them all as my friends and leaders in recovery and life. As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too. The hospital is spotless, you can choose the food you'd like to eat for 3 meals a day, and it tastes 😋 good. TVs 📺 aren't in the room, but they are in the Dayroom, along with pool tables, etc. It's even open to Veterans from other states. Sometimes it's difficult to admit the need for help, but hopefully, someone will take the time to read this and reach out.

I love this VA Center. The staff are excellent! The Physician assigned to me is great. Whenever I have a medical problem, I get an appointment at a reasonable time and they listen to the symptoms I have and do a great job getting to the route cause. The amount of time it takes for labs, x-rays, and MRIs is phenomenal. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their service.

Serenity Health is a great place. The counselors here are friendly and supportive. If you are looking for help you may want to come here, they have a pretty functional program. They have given me new hope.
Port Recovery has made many positive changes over the last several months with policies and procedures as well as their staff. Matt has and continues to have open communication to ensure mutual patients receive the best treatment services. It’s a pleasure to work together to support patients in their recovery.

I have been with Port Recovery for about a year and a half now. I've had sessions with Alana, Elaine, Courtney, Joanne, and Carol. I also had M-F 9am group sessions as well when I was on probation. I like the place enough that I've decided to stay with them after probation to keep seeing Ms. Cook as my psychiatric nurse practitioner. The welcoming environment is exactly what I need, and most likely you too. I was referred to Port Recovery from my Probation Officer. I got into trouble by wrecking my car into a ditch while sleep driving on Ambien. I couldn't remember a thing, only waking up in the hospital. So, I stopped taking extra Ambien even if I can't fall asleep back in February 2020. Now, I'm getting help at Port Recovery with my severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD issues. Best place I've been to for those issues, and being able to see all the professionals I need under one roof is perfectly convenient. Everyone is on the same page! Good luck to everyone else!!! Highly recommended!

I have been on methadone maintenance for a long time over 15 years. Most of my experience was with BD Health in baltimore. Once I changed to medmark my eyes were open to a whole new way of treatment. Before when I was at BD I felt like I was just a gas and go paycheck. I never got counseling. The treatment plans were just bullshitted. Here at medmark my counselor Mary is extremely helpful. Over the course of the time that I've been there she has realized what works best with us when we do our counseling sessions. She realizes that I do not have too many outlets so she lets me open the floodgates and for my heart out to her and it's always judgment free. I can tell that she is on my side 100%. Also the front staff Miss Cindy is absolutely amazing. She is completely professional extremely helpful to answer any questions. I also want to compliment the nursing staff. They have always been extremely polite and extremely professional. I'm extremely grateful to be getting my treatment at medmark. Thank you

This is a great place to be if you need help. I have been coming here for all most 2 years. Everyone here is so caring, kind, nice & friendly. I never had an issue with the staff. There are rules we all must follow for all the nay sayers. I leave MEDMARK BELCAMP with a happy feeling that someone cares for me. They are all good people.

The staff including the the nurses are phenomenal always have a good attitude and will help you with any questions or concerns that you may have.My counselor Anthony A.is truly the most informative, helpful and best counselor I have ever had. I've always have had a pleasant experience with this place and would highly recommend it.
This is by far the best clinic I've been at! Absolutely EVERYONE is so caring and you don't receive any judgement from anyone there. I've been here for over 6 years and will never go to another clinic. Medmark (Essex) is the place to go, they help with so many other things besides just getting help with addiction.

If you’re looking for a recovery house to give you a great foundation for long-term recovery Homecoming projects is the house for you. I went to The Homecoming project right after turning 23. It was my first sober living home out of a 30 day program. I have been able to sustain almost 7 years of sobriety. Homecoming not only provided me a strong foundation for my recovery but continues to go far beyond supporting me after the house to be the best version of myself and the mother to my son who is now almost 9 years old. The Homecoming Project is not only a house but a community of support that I will be blessed with for the rest of my life.

My husband was in distress needing his birth certificate ASAP. We called ahead to make sure we had everything to get a copy the same day. Gentleman at the front desk was the absolute GOAT. Turning Corners has been a fantastic! This program has been very enlightening and has had a dramatic impact on me in many ways. The staff have been extremely professional. Turning Corners has helped me tremendously! I was struggling with addiction and a friend said I should give this place a shot. I'm very happy that I did, as I've now been on the road to Recovery for almost 19 months. Pat and the staff are friendly and professional, and Pat is extremely knowledgeable. I primarily do one-on-one sessions, but have also attended several groups and they are great. I would highly recommend Turning Corners to anyone that thinks they may have a problem and are looking to work towards a happier and healthier life.

Never a problem. The ladies at the front desk are wonderful they always greet me with a smile and a greeting. I have blood drawn regularly for my doctor at GBMC in Towson with NO problem they usually get blood with the first stick. Christopher Toth is my PA and does a fine job. All in all I am very happy with this facility and the personnel.. Thank you.
