Walden has employees who are very dedicated & compassionate where adults in their care are concerned. Thru covid nightmares making a huge hindrance in allowing group meetings for some time, dedicated staff realized the importance of interaction with others who have walked the same nightmare. National shortage of trained help I am sure impacts their jobs, but I sincerely feel Walden's employees work there for the right reason..often saving a person's life. Their satisfaction at times when in the future seeing one of the 'flock' leading a normal, happy life when they run into them in public tells me they are there to make a viable difference. Thanks to all of Walden's angels in disguise for this!

Let's face it every program isn't gonna be and we are there to get clean. Thts the primary purpose. So for me to complain about the food is ridiculous cuz I barely ate b4 I even went in there. And definitely disagree about them leaving u alone while you are in detox they do an assessment every 4 hrs. I couldn't get them to leave me alone all I wanted to do was sleep. But shout out to the nursing staff I loved all of you. My warmest hugs to Kimmy Ms. Deb Jennifer Emma Ms. Lisa oh my my my I can't forget Toby and Kim y'all do a heck of a job cleaning us up. Renika do her thing with those dessert and Ted those French toast, idk wht u do but keep on doing it and NeNe girl keep putting tht soul in it. Lol I miss y'all already. In a nutshell the program gonna be what you put into it. You can have fun while getting clean or be miserable and still get clean. The choice is yours but it's not my place to blame it on a facility when I need to look at the behaviors I still carried with me. Thanks for having me. Ms. CeCe I'll be back for your I mean MY clothes Oh yea by far my favorite counselor award goes to Nicole but Sheron u definitely pulled a lot out of me so u lost points for making me feel to much and crying lol. I could go on and on about things I didn't like but today it's about change and everything I didn't like was exactly what I needed to learn and grow in my recover. Never had a problem here. The supervisor Kristie was very nice, friendly and professional. Had an absolutely positive experience. I was a person that needed serious help for my addiction, so I got in contact with Avenue Recovery Cambridge and was not only accepted but they were able to provide me with transportation. At my arrival I was received at the front desk and was able see the nurse that helped me. Since then I knew I was at the right place, with staff that helped and educated me on my addiction. Avenues is a great place to start one s recovery journey! In my opinion, it s the best option for treatment. The staff actually care about the clients and are very supportive and willing to help in any way they can. Aftercare planning is an important part in staying clean after treatment and Avenues has staff for that as well! I have a little over 2 years clean!! My clean date is 11/18/22 and I appreciate Avenues for helping me find my way to long term recovery!! I am forever grateful for Avenues!!

This place is amazing. I am in disbelief that a place like this exists and that it was available to me. Coming here was the best thing I ve ever done for myself. The staff from housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and clinical/ medical are not just employees. They care and are passionate about you and your journey.When I got here I was broken, ashamed, exhausted. My life was falling apart and I couldn t get out of my own way. They take you apart and help you examine yourself piece by piece. They are very good at what they do.I will forever be grateful for the ways that the CoE helped me, and grateful to myself for making the very difficult decision to come here.If you have questions, please reach out.

Where do I begin? When I came through the gate, I was broken (or as I've learned -- bruised). I was immediately let out of my car and met by two of my peers who whooshed me to admissions. From that point on, all I felt was acceptance, belonging, and that I was in a judgement-free zone.In my mind, I was broken, unrepairable, and had issues that no one could fix. Boy was I wrong. Whether it was in individual sessions with Remi (My Clinician), or group therapy with Dan, Pat, Ashley, Tiffany, Alanna, Kourtney, Kimberly, and others -- I was given the tools, grace, and ability to begin to fix myself.Plus, the clinicians aren't here to just get a paycheck. They genuinely CARE about the patients, you can literally feel that in the sessions.At my clinician's suggestion, I underwent EMDR treatment and literally felt chains being removed, and childhood trauma no longer had the power that it did on me before coming here.Insofar as the facilities, the station houses are comfy, the supporting staff are incredible, and the Fire every evening is the perfect place to unwind, and listen to your peers share their journey to what led them here to the COE.I could go on and on about how magical this place is, but Google doesn't have the bandwidth for me to sing my praises. I feel like every single person in the fire service would benefit from coming here.ONWARD!

I just started going here a couple months ago. Dr. Edmonds has been thorough and very helpful to me. Dr. Jordan was very helpful as well. I have been with this program for over eight years. There are so many opportunities offered in the program now it is amazing! Patients learn tools through the comprehensive education of our core groups of drug education, relapse prevention, coping skills, dual diagnosis, life skills, mindfulness, etc. Patients also have the opportunities of learning how to use a computer, build their resumes, get tutoring for the GED, take the GED test, go to Driver's Education, take college courses and the list is building everyday. The staff is a great team of hardworking individuals that put their hearts and souls into what they do.

Ended up in the ER here after a bad accident with an Exacto knife. Everyone the front desk; the nurses, the doctors, the tech staff were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly and professional and treated me like an actual person. They saw me as quickly as they could, did everything they could do to make the situation as tolerable as possible, and got me in and out in like two hours. Honestly the most positive experience I ve ever had in an ER.

My husband (a veteran) went to the ER this morning. Come to find out, he has to get his gallbladder removed! When we got home he went straight to sleep and I went ahead and was trying to get everything set up for him (surgery, consult appointment, etc). I had so much trouble and unhelpful people on the phone through the general VA line. On a whim, I came into this clinic needing help on a situation regarding his surgery. I was met with a very, very nice lady named Miesha. She went above and beyond to help me. She gave me tips and advice on what to do next time this would happen (my husband hasn t been to the ER under VA insurance until today). She went out of her way to show me things that she didn t need to, and even provided me a Manila envelope and a binder clip for all my documents! From there, Kim (a nurse) took over and also went above and beyond to help me! I let her know how much pain my husband was in and got the head nurse to help! While waiting, she was so nice to converse with and I enjoyed getting to know her. Christine was amazing in ensuring we would get into a surgery consult ASAP. She s very kind and straight to the point! She was very eager to help me. I am not a veteran myself, so the fact that I spent at least an hour there getting information from everyone and they didn t make a DIME off of me is something that s unheard of nowadays. Thank you Miesha, Kim, and Christine for helping me! I wish I could have you all as MY primary care. ( :

First time I ve gone to the VA here in Maryland since I transferred from Delaware. The staff was very kind, helpful, and thorough start to finish. I didn t have an appointment and they made sure to get me in regardless so my treatment wouldn t be delayed even further. Never have I ever had an experience like this at the VA. I ve had nothing but a great experience they actually care. Tiffany and Megan the receptionists are the sweetest and have even offered for me to call and just talk, after hours. I love them. Dr. Seamen is a saint and deserves more than she s recognized for. I ve been treated with nothing but love and care and it s super refreshing, Dr. S even referred me to a psychiatrist, Dr. Mary Beth and I m sure it ll be as good treatment as ever. It feels amazing longingly be heard/treated and not just pushed medicine.

Our daughter was in desperate need of help. Her ED had gotten into a dangerous zone. Out patient therapy was just not enough to bridge the gap for us. We began looking for facilities and this one was semi close. Leaving your child can be very difficult and reading reviews I felt somewhat comfortable with this place.Ilida was really easy to work with. When we arrived, she went through all of the initial paperwork with us and made sure we understood everything before signing. While there our daughter was able to gain weight and understand her relationship with her body image and understand how her eating disorder affected that. The staff was great and quickly developed relationships that were therapeutic with my daughter- helping her use her DBT skills when she would get upset. As a mom, it does your heart good to know that when your child is upset, there is someone there to comfort them when you can t. She went in having withdrawn into herself, no longer enjoying activities she had previously enjoyed, and as previously mentioned, very sick. She discharged a healthy, happy kiddo! Enjoying activities she hadn t enjoyed in a long time!The only negative comments I have is that the house was in somewhat of a transition of staff upon our arrival. Our daughter was assigned a virtual therapist & virtual dietician. While both of these individuals were great, we would have much preferred in person facilitation. There were some lapses of communication a few times, but again, staff was/is in transition. When it s brought to their attention, they are quick to rectify this.At the end of the day, the good definitely outweighs the bad and if I had to do it all over again, I would send her there without hesitation. Actually at discharge, our daughter was in tears because while she wanted to come home, she was going to miss several of the staff!
