The Dr is so willing to hear you out and make things better on top of that Nick my counselor he's just amazing he pulls you out of your head and you don't even realize he did it's just a natural thing for him and one other person would be Kristen she runs that place so smoothly but with a heart that matches the smile she gives every single time when she asks if you're ok and that's why HCRC Westfield is the best!!! Vitals and x-ray done. Had a room and nurse came in often and doctor was busy but made time to hear what was going on with me. He ordered multiple test. Told me what it was and medication I will need and follow up with my doctor. I was able to get through the weekend. Big thank you to the emergency room staff!!! The place was well organized, seemed to be run well and plenty of patient supervision, from the point that my friend made it through the complete admission process, she was able to reach out to myself and her sister, and her mother, and then transition to the Hope house in Springfield. I strongly encourage anyone battling with addiction and / or dual diagnosis as well, to call Carlson for bed availability and go through the program. A lot has changed in this field over the past five years, but most notably over the past two years, and there is help and there is hope, if you know somebody who’s struggling out there, they are somebody’s daughter they are somebody’s son. They could also be somebody’s spouse and they could also be somebody’s parent as well, try to do what you can to help them as long as it’s within your cable tow. God bless. Their food is incredible and you can get seconds too which is helpful when you are starving and coming off alcohol. Every time I relapsed I went there because I knew they would give me another chance. You should go to groups but yes you can sleep if you’re tired. I remember the first time I went there. I was in serious alcohol withdrawal. I had the best sleep after being medicated. Their staff is great too. They saved my life. They wake you up for vitals early but you may need medication. They have punch in the tv room which I drank like no tomorrow. Snacks too. I’ve been there like 7 times and they always treat me great. I wish I could say my name but can’t. When discharging from rehab I had a hard time finding a place that took my insurance. I had a quick intake on the phone with compass and they took me right away right as I discharged from rehab. All the counselors were very welcoming and super nice. What’s nice about compass is all the counselors have been through the same experience as the patients there. They are very relatable and supportive and that makes the experience 100 times easier. I’m so glad out of all the places in the area I picked compass if I didn’t go through with this program with the structure they gave me. I would have been so lost with going through early recovery alone. They are the perfect place to get you started on the path to recovery. Will forever be grateful for compass!
