Been to the ER here many times. Always had very courteous, prompt service. Staff are some of the most kind, gentle people we've met, and the doctors have listened and given very helpful and professional assistance without hassle or unnecessary testing. Can get in + out of here much faster than a walk-in clinic, with far better care. We drive extra distance to get to this facility because it's worth it for the prompt service and level of care we receive.

This place is great, getting sober is not easy or fun and the only issue I have personally witnessed is that yes; all of thier staff cannot be in recovery or understand us addicts but they truly have made a huge effort to adapt to this new age in which you can get into a rehab basically for free, get decent if not really good food(DFD) and have the chance to.btreak old bad habits etc. Im 39 and when I first tried to get sober at 18 or so it was incredibly difficult to find a rehab that didn't cost 40K. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This place and ann arbor will keep you sober and help you recover for better or worse.

This is simply for Zach(Zack?), the guy at front desk who took my call. I honestly was terrified to make this call, and after maybe 5-10 minutes with him on the phone, I was assured I was doing the right thing. Making the choice to call the TCED(Aster Springs of Ohio) admissions team, do an assessment, and accept their recommendation was not easy. I was scared and thought there was no hope. My wonderful admissions resource, Renessa, was so helpful in guiding me every step of the way by answering all my questions, challenging my ED’s fears about treatment, and encouraging me. I would not have been able to make this choice without her advocacy and support. When you walk through the doors, you are met with some of the kindest people you will ever come across in this field, and sometimes they even come out to the parking lot to help you not have to walk through the doors alone. They all genuinely care about this work and will do everything they can to help you on your journey. The staff is phenomenal from maintenance, RCS’s, Nurses, the Clinical staff and Dietitians to Leadership. While in treatment, you build great rapport with your treatment team, especially the more honest you are with them, but you also connect so much with all the staff in the building. To work at Aster Springs Ohio is to care about the patients by challenging the eating disorders and supporting the person every step of the way. They truly all care so much and all have their own reasons for being in this work. I absolutely gained my life back by choosing to come to TCED, and I would make the same choice every time. The work of fighting your eating disorder and choosing recovery continues when you walk out of the doors, but you move forward with all the skills, tools, and support learned during your stay in addition to joining the alumni community. If you are struggling, reach out and share your concerns with the admissions staff. I know it made all the difference for me in being able to take steps towards choosing recovery consistently. If you are at TCED, you will not have to struggle with anything alone. Instead of fighting your eating disorder in isolation and secrets, you will be met with a safe space for honesty, support, and healing.

I love Toledo center for eating disorders! The staff were nothing but kind and caring they helped me With everything my therapist kam was incredible my Dietician Emily was incredible worked with me with my meals the nurses were awesome Abby the director of nursing is awesome she was so kind All the other nurses dayrlie Shawn Ashley Courtney were nothing but sweet one of the days I was sick and not feeling well and I got nothing but support from the whole staff! Ovlia the director of toleto center was so kind to me made sure my needs were met and made me feel comfortable giving me my own room because I needed it! They also gave us new beds and dressers and the building is very nice and always clean! My psychiatrist Dr Sadah was nothing but kind and adjusted my meds when needed! Katiyin the miller supervisor was so sweet and so kind we even got to see her dog along with Ovlia dog dolly! I could not ask for a better team they understood my needs! Rebekah the nurse practitioner was so incredible and and caring to make sure we were medically stable and all the RCS were nothing but kind always caring when I needed something they would help me! I went to the farm and stayed for a little over 3 months. The treatment duration is determined by the therapists. The shortest duration I saw was 2 1/2 months. Longest I saw was 4 months but most do around 90 days. I had moments I really loved the farm, and others where I felt like I hated it. Their rules are really strict and you’re there for a while. However, it did work for me. It was a long journey. I got yelled at for breaking rules, for sleeping in, and absolutely resented waking up early every morning to do work duties. Definitely cried a few times. By day 50 I was like “get me the heck out of here” but had months to go. But every time I got upset, I’d sleep on it and always decided to stay. Now I’m much better. I can wake up for an actual job early without a problem. I have more self control, more friends, more support, I try to follow the rules in real life situations, try to be a good person, and have a much more rewarding life overall. The Farm is really challenging but it does actually work if you listen to them and do what they tell you to do and don’t fight it. It’s hard to follow their schedule and rules every day for so long, but it just might change your life.

I went to the Emergency at Flower Hospital after getting dizzy and breaking my fall at home. I’m 70 and never had such an episode.
The staff from my arrival to discharge were amazing. Marie in ER was fantastic and witnessed a dizzy episode I was experiencing. She immediately notified the Nurse Practitioner and the additional Test.
The first Doctor I met in the ER got me some more warm blankets and made a good wrap around my legs and feet.
After consulting with another doctor my daughter agreed with the doctor that I should be admitted.
I went to room 717 for overnight observation.
Oh my the staff just continued their friendly, professional and efficient way of caring for me. I’m like do they have cameras watching them.
They took their time introduced themselves and their positions. They explained how test results would be given to the house doctor who would consult with a neurologist.
It’s about 3:30 and I can’t remember the one nurse’s name but she has 2 children. My daughter was saying something about my 5&6 yr old grand children, she shared with my daughter about her kids to make my daughter feel comfortable. She the explained it was important for me to eat and gave her instructions on how to order from the menu.
It’s room service style just like a hotel, oh my.
I ordered grill chicken Alfredo with onions and mushrooms. A side salad, 2 oatmeal raisin cookies and a fruit cup. It came in about 35 min.and was delicious and the salad was so fresh. I’m not one to call the nurse often but when did they responded and always said that’s what we’re here for.
Discharged went smoothly everything was explained by house doctor and nurse.
I was told I would be discharged around 11am.
I asked if I could eat breakfast and was told most definitely, we would never send you home hungry.
I realize Flower is a smaller hospital but the and efficiency of the entire staff and service can compete with any other hospital big or small. I would like to humbly thank everyone with my care and discharge.

I had the pleasure of recieving services from Coty, Darren and Heather and are forever greatful to have experienced their professional demeaner and the respect they bestowed upon me. This location is beautifully laid out. The landscaping is first rate. On site are training locations for teachers as well as for students. The buildings are kept in good shape. The bathrooms and facilities are kept clean.The cafeterias are in good working order. Their sports fields are maintained well. The school is in a quiet setting away from major manufacturing, thoroughfares and commercial shopping.The only drawback I see is the sheer size of the place. Otherwise with proper monitoring of the school setting and the children themselves this school should provide a good, over all education and preparation for higher learner or skilled trades. It is a pleasure to see the wooded area close by.Some of the parking lots need work but they are not quite that deteriorated at this time. The site is well lit in the evening. It is deserted, as you would expect, at night.

A couple of months ago I received assistance from one of the counselors and found the experience very helpful. I was in the middle of a full-on mental breakdown and they were able to help me in the short-term while also referring me to additional services beyond that. I can't recommend them enough.

A little late to be posting this, but I've been here twice, once pre-rehab and once post. Alison, dr ryan, Brian, and everyone else are so so amazing and are a huge part of why I'm still here today . Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews but parents if you're reading this and the other reviews, the only reason this place is lowly rated is because their kids most likely not putting the work in. Yeah it's gonna suck if you're stuck in a hospital being forced to get better but if you but the work in it's actually kinda fun. Foods also sosososo good lol good for picky eaters. They've got a pool table, puzzles, word searches, music therapy and more :))

The support I received was much needed. I was able to add some coping tools, pause from daily activities that were overwhelming at the time, and there was a connection where I had been feeling isolated and completely abandoned. My therapist coordinated a transition back to my daily life but with extra support. I am so grateful we have partial as an option.

I think it's safe to assume they've changed hands based on some of the older reviews. Everyone I've spoken to has been incredibly kind and helpful. The office manager, Leigh, has always gotten back to me very quickly whenever I've had to leave a message (same day or next day) and is very personable. I do agree that the intake form is almost egregiously long (took me a little over 2hrs) and many of the questions are redundant, so it does need to be revised. However, it was worth it for the care I am receiving. My therapist is really good fit for me and is incredibly knowledgeable. I really like that I was given a bit of time to grow comfortable and develop trust and coping skills before getting into trauma work. I hope everyone seeking help can find as good of a fit :)
