I went to rehab and outpatient counseling at Fellowship House. They were a safe haven for me for two years. The staff was welcoming, kind and encouraging. I was always greeted at the door with a smile from Ms. Sondra. The counselors celebrated my victories with me, supported me through my defeats and helped me to believe in myself. As a spouse of veteran with his power of attorney, representative, and caretaker, I was thankful to receive information years ago regarding my spouse demanding me to come home, calling my phone sometimes 60 to 70 times every time I left home, with excuse he had multiple VA appointments and that I was preventing him from tending to by having car. One time I drove straight to VA with POA to learn he had no appointments - and many prior times were excuses as well. Somebody informed him of me being at the VA, leading to him thinking I was sleeping with someone there ( no ). I spoke with pharmacist regarding meds he was put on then quicky taken off Prozac and started acting bipolar, borderline schizophrenic when doing marijuana and drugs, wanting me to join in then thinking I'm a bore cause I wouldn't, put it in my food anyway then make fun of how I act. They said there is nothing in his chart that is wrong with him - nothing to make him abuse, grape, or be evil. Its just who he is. After raising a type 1 diabetic that would hit, kick, scream, and abuse me too during her sugar rages, I realized I never retaliated despite ups and downs in my life, and my veteran spouse and type 1 do not act that to others. I was thankful for the clarity as I have for years, and would have continued giving grace forever for bad behavior. I am not the military person, not veteran - I am a spouse caretaker thankful they helped me with information provided.

My father received excellent care at Marion VA hospital. He was under hospice care. His Dr. and nurses went above and beyond to care for him and make him comfortable. His Dr. even came in on Memorial Day weekend on her day off to make sure he was comfortable. The care and compassion we were shown i didnt think existed in our health care system. He was also assigned to a group at the VA. NVDA - no veteran will die alone. This is a wonderful group of volunteers that came and stayed with us. They would come and sit outside your room in case you needed a break. They would come in and sit with my Dad so we could get food or rest. You can not imagine the peace we felt knowing they were there. It is hard to put into words the gratitude we feel for such excellent care.

This is my first time posting a review however, I want to say state the following; I was having major medical problems ; Mercy you did an awesome job treating me from the ER and also the following two days after admitting me. Your entire staff not only resolved my immediate issues following through with necessary testing as well as making me comfortable, keeping me informed, meeting each and every need in an efficiency and doing so treating me with utmost respect with dignity seldom experienced in our healthcare today. Can’t speak highly enough of your fantastic staff. To all staff at Mercy hospital I can’t thank you enough.

I was seen in the ER on 07/21 due to severe abdominal distress, severe recurring diarrhea, and dehydration. I expected to wait 4+ hours for someone to come get me (as has always been my experience at an ER unless brought in by ambulance) and to my surprise, I only waited 10 minutes for triage and another 15 minutes for a room to be cleared for me. Within 2 hours I had a clear understanding of my diagnosis and treatment path, multiple bags of fluids, a CT scan and multiple other tests. Dr Rickey, the ER nurses, and all auxiliary staff were fabulous and so kind. I was admittedly very nervous about coming to Mercy as an LGBTQ+ person (used SoutheastHealth for years before the merger with no issues and recently moved back to the area) but my concerns were dissolved once my care began at Mercy. Great experience.

I enjoy working with my Psychiatrist and Therapist. They are warm and welcoming. I did not feel judge or uncomfortable speaking to them. My only complaint was having to wait a year to start seeing the Therapist, however I was able to start seeing my Psychiatrist right away. Also I use the pharmacy at the CCC, Genoa. The keep track of my prescriptions and will refill them when needed and let me know they are ready to pick up. I never have to work about running out if I forget to get the refill.

Changing my review. I've had some really bad visits here. Don't get me wrong. But last time changed my view. Was having anaphylactic event out of nowhere and was taken seriously by the Dr who saw me that evening( Dr Candis Nall) she didn't focus on just one symptom and opened up a whole new avenue of investigation based on my whole history not just what was wrong that moment in the Er. Greatly appreciative of her as my primary is now investigating disoders that would have never made it to the table. Wait times can be long In this Er, and more space and staff would be a plus, but I finally saw this hospital's A game

I love Parkland heath center.. this is where my primary care doctor Amy is located.. I have been seeing her for like 3 years. I the old building at the actual Parkland hospital upstairs.. now they have a brand new building behind Parkland hospital on Hazel lane.. I get to see the veer wonderful Helicopter called Air Vac 8.. it landing pad is right next to the hospital.. and I conveniently get to see it every time I go to the doctor.. lol.. that is thrilling for me.. because I love Helicopters 🤣💯⚘️🇺🇸 The new doctors office is very beautiful and up dated inside.. I love it.. everyone that works here is always really nice to me.. I appreciate them..
