Dr. Hubsher helped change my life. I have so much room for joy and have better relationships with everyone in my life. Life is easier and less stressful every day. I can’t believe how long I spent getting misdiagnosed with anxiety, depression and OCD. And still managing my emotions was a struggle every day. He gave me a super power I never knew existed. If I had been on this medication my whole life I think it would have changed my trajectory. I have a great life but this is next level. He is treating me for a mood disorder I never knew I had. I am 40 and have been in and out of talk therapy and on and off medication for anxiety and depression for 20 years. I was at a point where I knew I wasn’t depressed or suffering from anxiety but something was still off. I thought maybe it was ADHD because my son has it. I met with Dr Hubsher for an hour and he changed my life. He said I have very deep intense emotional reactions to situations and its a genetic trait. He said if I tried a mood stabilizer it would help make my emotions easier to manage. He was 100 percent right. I no longer have to manage my emotions or try to speak in an appropriate way to people. I am able to respond naturally without coming off as aggressive or angry. I have room for joy because of the extra emotional bandwidth I have. Thank you Dr H!

It is rare to find a professional like Dr. Hubsher who is a true mensch in every sense of the word. He is a man who cares deeply about others, and his passion for helping people navigate their challenges is evident in every interaction. Beyond his expertise, his genuine empathy and dedication to his patients' well-being make him stand out in his field. If you are looking for someone who is not only a highly skilled specialist but also a compassionate human being truly invested in your success, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mountainside has been amazing in support of our son as well as us as parents throughout this challenging and painful journey of addiction!! In particular, The Sober Coach, Morris, that is working directly w our son and in tandem with us is absolutely amazing in so so many ways. He has and continues to go up and above each and every day!! It takes a Team and we would be lost without Morris!! Our sincere thanks and prayers are with Morris and all the Therapists and Counselors in the Mountainside Community - Tom D

My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day to day way. The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives. Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through. Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I would recommend their coaching without hesitation to any family who’s looking for meaningful sustained support around sobriety. This has made a significant difference for my family. Early recovery, albeit exciting, can be fragile, and I cannot imagine having gone through this experience without the coaching Morris provides.

Id love to give these guys a 5 but recently I was dropped due to insurance. ( I have medicaid. Which makes me less fortunate then others who pay for there insurance) so after about a year and a half. Outside of that the groups are excellent the facilitators truely care, and the people who are the ones that really make the groups they are great. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did.

I was a patient at serenity at summit from July 16th to August 13, 2025. I didn't know what to expect I flew from Fayetteville , north carolina and was picked up from the airport by one of the exceptional techs KAMAR Someone I never met before, but you wouldn't know it from our conversation. I told him I was hungry because they wouldn't let the plane land right away he Informed me not to worry that they had food for me as soon as we get to the facility. After I ate, I went to get a quick check-up.And I was soon meet by another tech and was taken to detox on the 3rd floor , he showed me my room , rm 6 and then took me out for a fresh air break , and then it was time for bed. The next morning, I was moved to the 2nd floor for rehab where I met some of the other staff members Amira, Tom ,Lori, who became my case manager, Regina, Dawn and Heber, to name a few, these people made my stay really pleasant I could go to them for anythig and as for the exceptional tecs Al Danett Destiny CHARLIE and little bit. I can't remember her real name. But that's what I called her a special shout out to Akeem for getting me safely to my next destination. I love you guys and we'll never forget you. ❤️ ♥️ 💓

Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

Coming to NJRC was one of the best decisions I've made. Before seeking real treatment, I tried many different ways to handle things on my own, but NJRC has provided me the support and guidance I had been missing all along. NJRC is genuinely one of my favorite places on Earth. I've been to three other treatment centers and none of them compare to NJRC. The group leaders, therapists, supervisors, case managers, clients, and everyone else are amazing. Jeremy and Rachel Kornmann are especially special to me. Jeremy is a supervisor (I think) and Rachel is my therapist. They contribute to making NJRC feel like a safe and comfortable space. Therapists' doors are always open when they aren't in session so that clients can talk to them whenever they need. I know every single therapist at NJRC personally and they are all exceptional. NJRC has helped keep me sober, which is the greatest gift. I thought for the longest time that nothing would help my addiction, but NJRC pulled through. I could not be more grateful.

I owe True Life so much thanks. I can not properly put it into words to express my profound appreciation. I was physically and mentally burntout. Brendan B spoke to me for 30 minutes over the phone. I was not even a patient. I called other places and they would say wait 3 weeks.. I still didnt commit to True Life. It took a few days of calling places that seemed like they didnt care. I have to say the team at True Life truly care. Pulling into the lot I was about to leave. I had so many thoughts of what am I doing?how did I get to this? Im too good for help. As soon as I parked, John met me outside and asked If I was Dave. He then showed me around and Introduced me to Jason. Outstanding first impression. Jason and John diserve a ton of credit. Every team member I met gave me positive energy. All counselors From OT "Over Time" Anthony. Great conversationalist to Daniel provoked though and discussion to Rob Genuine heart and motivational. To Danni. Really cared and listened. To Tyler who was so real. Nicole really was fantastic with Fmla. And Jamie really cares and has an ultimate presense of good. Brian was the lead and it was clear his team respected and trusted him. If you are completely burnt out and not sure what to do. Give these guys a call.. I am a spouse of an individual that just completed a 28 day inpatient treatment plan. To be honest I am not even sure how we ended up with this provider, however it ended up being a true blessing. Not only was my husband taken good care of, I received several calls from his clinician to provide updates regarding his status, but also them checking on how I was doing and asking if I had any questions/concerns. I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.) Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion. It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea. I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days. The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again. They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings. But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself. It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice. It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

The reason I’m giving this place a 5-star review is because of the amazing people I met while I was staying there. First, I want to give a big shout-out to a few of the PCCs and staff members who truly made a difference. Stacy—thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and kindness. I truly hope you achieve everything you’re working toward. You would make an incredible counselor. The way you treated us with respect, compassion, and genuine care says so much about your work ethic and your character. Ash and Mike S - thank you for your patience and for always treating us with love, kindness, and respect. You made us feel like human beings, and that means more than you know. Stephan, Johnny, Gary, and Antwo—thank you for everything. The list of people I appreciate could honestly go on. Joe—you’re the man! Thank you for helping me even when you didn’t have to. And to my counselor, James—I’m truly grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you for your guidance and support. To anyone considering coming here: if you’re serious about getting help, staying focused on your goals, and working on your sobriety, you can absolutely succeed here. One thing I learned is that treating others with respect goes a long way. This isn’t a resort, so don’t expect a different meal every day or luxury accommodations. Like any program, there are some downsides, but for me, there were far more positives than negatives. I left with valuable lessons, support, and hope. At the end of the day, recovery starts with you and with the mindset you choose to have. Thank you to everyone who helped me during my stay. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I wish you all nothing but the best.

I needed a place that understood I wasn't just dealing with addiction, there was real mental health stuff underneath it too. The dual diagnosis approach here treated both at the same time rather than putting one on hold while addressing the other. For anyone managing anxiety, depression, or trauma alongside substance use, that kind of integrated care changes what the whole process feels like.

The yoga space and the outdoor lounge gave me somewhere to actually reset during treatment. Those aren't extras, they're part of how the physical and wellness side of recovery works here. I hadn't really connected how much my body needed that alongside the clinical work.

I came to SOBA without a lot of hope, honestly. What I found was a program with real depth, the kind that only comes from a facility that has been doing this seriously for over ten years. The clinicians are trained at a high level, the care felt genuinely individualized, and the day-to-day had enough structure to keep things moving without feeling suffocating. The facility itself helps. Clean, comfortable, with spaces that don't feel like a hospital. I left with a different understanding of what I was capable of. This place is the real thing.

My experience here couldn't have been better. I'm still here. I had a mid fossa craniotomy to patch a hole over my superior canal where bone did not develop. The results, even though this is day 2, are amazing. I no longer feel like dying is a better option. My vertigo is not as bad as it was. It was done by Dr. Bigelow and Dr. Moshel. The bad reviews seem to come from the ER and pedes. Just a reminder, the ER is meant to only triage bad symptoms. At odd times, sometimes there is understaffing. All the staff I've interacted with have been kind, professional, and personable. There's a great selection of food. I wasn't fond of the burger, but everything else was excellent. I haven't seen pics of this menu online, so I'll be sharing photos. Thank you all!

The first time I came to Morristown medical center I had a pancreatitis attack (I have a well documented history of chronic pancreatitis with countless hospitalizations) For those who know, it’s up there with the worst pain in the world. I could hardly walk, speak, move. I’m in the Atlantic health system so it’s very documented, even though my prior hospitalizations weren’t in Morristown. I was placed in a hallway and my phone was taken (I wasn’t on it, just texting…is this legal?) and was treated like a drug seeking criminal. I had to AMA myself and swiftly got pulled over by Morristown PD pulling out, which was fun. I followed up with the hospital and they said they “don’t take patients phones” but that was a flat out lie. I ended up driving to Valley in Paramus the next morning. Fast forward a few months later I had an awful attack and also had pneumonia. I was in the icu for three weeks, luckily my mom brought me in (I’m 38) so for some reason I was taken seriously this time. I had two other pancreatitis attacks since then, both resulting in 2-5 day stays and the nurses and staff were caring and wonderful. I take these reviews like any “business” with a grain of salt because you don’t know who you are getting that day. I had an awful experience and the next two were decent. Maybe it was the doctor in the ER that night with a bias because many pancreatic problems are linked to alcohol? I have no idea. Wonderful nurses though.

I have been coming to ofr since 2017 on and off. This is the best place I’ve ever been. I can’t say enough good things about Jonathan from Excel . From the moment I started working with him, he made me feel genuinely comfortable and welcomed, which is not easy when you’re dealing with something as personal as addiction. He has a way of creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can actually open up without hesitation. Jonathan is extremely knowledgeable, and it shows in how he approaches every conversation with care and intention. He doesn’t just listen—he really understands, and he’s very mindful of your feelings and personal experiences. I felt respected and never rushed or dismissed. Out of all the counselors I’ve worked with in drug and alcohol treatment, Jonathan has been the best by far. His professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail truly set him apart. I’m very grateful for the support he’s given me.
