The 12-step program is very useful and the group sessions helped me a lot. I'm grateful to them because they saved my life, I love all the advisers, highly recommended. 7 years ago the entire experience from beginning to end was smooth and seamless . the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. their commitment to the recovery of your loved one comes from the heart 7 years ago I am so impressed w/ Victory Bay across the board, starting w/ inception day1 when my son first went there & all the way thru the treatment process which in our case includes IOP & sober living housing. They made the whole onboarding process so easy at a time when our stress levels were so heightened. The team there is always accessible & at all levels. Even on day1 AJ (a co-founders) sat down w/ us to talk & it helped. Katie Quin his therapist has been tremendous & always there to discuss things & to help ensure a successful outcome. She always has the right balance of care, understanding, & directness to ensure the things that matter are heard & absorbed by the clients. Im not going to give you a play by play or some incredible testimony because my story is still going strong but I've come a very long way and I 💯 give my counselor, Susan, alot of credit for sticking by me even bk in the beginning when I would be nasty and childish towards her and ill never forget when she told me that she was just waiting for me to be ready. * full disclosure im a garbage head and at the time I needed rehab terribly. And she was so patient and calm n it drove me nuts. Until one day, I walked into her office and said im ready. And from that chair in her office I left for rehab right away thanks to a combined effort of the staff, Will a former employee but mainly through her approach over months. I've had several wonderful things happen since then but most importantly I finally won my 3 year battle with CPS and gained joint custody of my son back. Now, don't get it twisted, I am far from a shiney happy person now. I've got major struggles right now but ever since that day she can't get rid of me off her caseload. Mainly because secretly im her favorite.😄 but i won't let them switch me because Susan really does care about her clients and I am sure of it for many reasons. If Susan isn't you're counselor you're missing out. And because of her this center gets a 5 star 🌟 rating from me. Which, btw, NEVER happens. She is always open and honest l. She's never guided me in the wrong direction. Honestly she works so hard in taking care of us clients and what we need that sometimes it feels like I'm not doing enough for my own recovery. If you're nervous about taking the next step in your recovery as I was never have been to a PHP before. She makes sure that it's a smooth transition. Honestly the only way you could think Haley or the rest of the staff isn't doing enough for you is if you're so lazy and aren't really serious about your recovery that you just expect everyone to do everything for you. My therapist challenged me and I grew from it. The techs were hit and miss but anywhere I went I feel like its the same. When ppl care about their jobs and put their hearts in it, it really does make a difference in the lives of those struggling. The team at Recovery Village cared enough to do whatever they could to accommodate anyone and everyone. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!! Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. Andrea made my treatments bare able. I was blessed to have Andrea. Dr Dansoa my oncologist always answers any questions I have. She had me set up for a great treatment regimen. The chemo actually killed the cancer cells in my lymph nodes. Dr Brill my surgeon is top notch and I am so happy I went with her. I just had a double mastectomy last week and I never had any pain.
