The Center Advanced Behavioral Care Services meets the needs for those with co-occurring disorders. I have personally have had the pleasure to meet the staff and the clients. The facility is welcoming and clean. They provide direct services to those in need in Ocean and Monmouth County and beyond. The staff is friendly and the clients enjoy there time in group settings and individually. I am rating them with 5 stars as I feel that they work hard to meet the needs of there clients daily.

I have to say Concord deserves a 10-star review. The staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the care they show are all amazing. My mom has been in and out of rehab, and I truly think I finally found the one we’ll keep coming back to. We’ve been through a couple of others, but this one really stands out. The facility has been beautifully updated within the last year, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is actually very good. My mom is a very picky eater, so that says a lot. If you need a place for your family member, don’t hesitate to bring them here — you’ll be very satisfied with the care and experience they provide.

I was seeking treatment in April 2026, and HighFocus accepted me into their program. Their treatment was amazing, and specifically my councilor at the time, Taylor Zazulka, was extremely helpful, supportive, and crucial to helping me find continuing treatment after PHP/IOP. I highly recommend Freehold HighFocus treatment center to anyone struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or just looking for a higher level of treatment solely therapy does not provide.

I went to this place back in 2024, and this place was awesome. We got to do a bunch of therapeutic activities that were so helpful, and the staff were also really kind, friendly, and understanding. This place is amazing for someone struggling with a mental illness, at the time, I had depression, and this Mental Health Service helped me a lot. If I do have anything going on with life, this is the place I would go to.

Fantastic facility, all the facilitators are knowledgeable and caring, spent 126 days here and got everything I needed out of the program. They have a great vetting process so you'll almost never meet a client who sucks, PHP was a great time even if a bit draining, and IOP was fantastic, all the techs, Landon, Travis, Zach, Mo (Hope you do well in Jerusalem!), Fahim, Antoine, Eli, Phil, Darryl were all fantastic and a key part of my recovery. Weekly grocery trips and catered lunch at the clinic made sure I never went hungry, transportation to 12 step meetings was appreciated. Allen was an absolutely fantastic therapist to have, but all the therapists: Tess, Bella, Megan, Curtis, Caitlyn, Andrew, and Allen are all fantastic and really help break down issues & education in a way that's noninvasive and actually helpful. The facilitators who aren't solo therapists Chris and Ervin are all wonderful and kind. The other staff members who make it all work in the background: Chuck, Kevin, Celeste, Jahila, and Kevin were very helpful and always around. While I don't know all the women's house techs, the ones I did interact with, Rea and Alexis were fun and full of wisdom. And finally, shout-out to Kelce and Jeff for handling all the administrative mumbo jumbo that let's the clinic and housing run smoothly. And Brandon, the maintenance guy, you are an elite asset and it was wonderful knowing you. If I ever relapse, which I hope I won't, this would be the rehab I'd want to come back to. Much love y'all, keep it real :)

I'm not a first time winner at recovery but every time l've felt like I needed a little structure in my life to give me the extra boost I needed to get me back on track I've enrolled at GenPsych and l've never had a bad experience. Everyone that works here will go to the end of the earth to help you from the administrative staff such as Michelle all the way to the therapists including my personal therapist at the facility named Ande. Ande has been a tremendous help to me since day one and has helped me with getting out of my own way and has aided me on my path of recovery and self discovery. They focus on multiple areas of mental health whether it's substance abuse or just depression/anxiety. They also provide transportation depending how close you are to the facility. Overall I think it's a great program that almost anyone can benefit from.

I went to bright harbor healthcare for years for my daughter ( I go there for myself also and I love my therapist) however her experience was sub par and I have some HUGE reservations with her last therapist especially because she tried to talk my daughter into taking HRT behind my my back which she didn’t even want them. I took them out and switched her to preferred and now she sees Megan and WOW she is doing so much better she’s so much more communicative and open her behavior has drastically changed and I feel like I’ve got my child back. I recommend them to anyone that sees that their child is going through a rough time. I even put my seven year old in therapy there for aggressive behavior issues I was convinced she had ODD but a few months of seeing Alex and she is a different person no more freak outs I owe this place the world HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I've been bringing my dad here for the last three years and everyone couldn't be nicer! Audio dept. is great. Front desk, friendly and answered all our questions. Not sure why some negative reviews were given, but I noticed it many were during Covid. Perhaps they were short on staff.

I have received wonderful therapeutical from my anxiety and stress. I first started coming here probably a year and a half ago and I saw a young lady name Pam, she was lovely, but went to another office, during that time I was starting to see of Andrea, who was a pivotal, life-changing therapist for me, I have been always in this self development, try to treat stress on my own type of person however, Andrea and I have come up with many coping skills and she’s told me through the most critical and most stressful times of My adult life. I give her so much credit. Not only is she empathetic and compassionate. She makes me feel like I’m not less than for feeling certain ways that I feel. I feel like that she’s help me to reframe certain thoughts that I’ve had that have cut me in a stressful crisis cycle . The front desk staff is fantastic, most importantly, this wonderful, lovely, professional, kind and beyond caring to every patient that she comes in contact with is Erin . She is irreplaceable, absolutely fantastic, and dealing with many situation at once, her and I actually took quite a bit because I have to fit my therapy into my schedule and she is accessible , and wonderfully accommodating. Her compassion for the patients that are there and what they’re going through is bar none!!! I am absolutely blessed, and I am becoming a better version of myself and have spread the word to dear friends and family to attend, as well . To be able to say that I am actually getting help from this wonderful community of trained professionals, who know exactly how to deal with people with all different needs of all different levels is really life-changing for me. I also attended a group that was spectacular, it made me feel less alone, and was supportive and not awkward and exactly what I needed.

This is the third company I've used. The 1st 2 were awful - if anything, they worsened my situation. This place is exactly what I needed. Everyone is easy to get a hold of and they do what they're supposed to do - help. Christen at the front desk is great - she takes care of a lot by herself. If she's unable to help, she let's my counselor know ASAP. That brings me to her - Christy. She literally fixed an entire (bad) situation for me. Simply amazing. Thanks!

I can only speak to the adult IOP/PHP program, but my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite some of the older, more critical reviews, the current psychologist, Dr. Akunna, is excellent. The staff is also very respectful of gender identities and preferred names — I’ve even seen therapists gently correct each other when the wrong pronoun was used by mistake. Britney is a fantastic therapist — extremely validating and supportive. The smaller group setting allows for meaningful one-on-one attention, especially during afternoon sessions. Grace, their most consistent group therapist, creates a space where people can truly show up as they are — something I’ve rarely seen done so well. Ajita and the rest of the team work hard to support clients while also holding firm, compassionate boundaries to set them up for success after leaving the program. They use a mix of DBT, CBT, and other therapeutic approaches to teach skills in a holistic, client-centered way. They also encourage clients to seek additional medical support, such as a primary care doctor or nutritionist, when needed. Overall, the team is committed to helping clients fully engage with treatment — and you truly get out of the program what you put into it.

I want to begin by saying my counselor Julia , Julia is very attentive and gives full focus on what needs to be focused on . Julia makes it feel more like a friendly environment more than your average text book counseling which I find very comforting. I have been to treatment several times throughout my lifetime and for the first time I feel like I’m actually doing something with my recovery. I actually look forward of going and having my sessions with Julia . You can actually feel the attention Julia gives she caring and pays close attention on whatever you need help with . My sessions with Julia do not feel like I’m sitting with someone listening to my issues for a paycheck you get that sense of talking to someone really does care. Take it from a 42 year old that has been in many rooms and always feeling a sense of not belonging. I’m glad this time around I met Julia as my counselor and I really couldn’t be more grateful to have her treating my issues I never thought feeling so good about counseling existed. I couldn’t be any happier with the treatment with Julia. It actually feels like I’m talking with a friend that I’ve known forever.

To validate this statement. I will say in the 19 years I have been involved with mental health facilities, addiction, treatment centers, and state psychiatric services. At times being employed by and other times as a patient. By far the counselors that break their tail every day for their patience to have a positive outcome and fair shot at a good life. Is second to none. In tandem with their psychiatric services and on the ball medication treatments. The only response in what they do for their patients, Is first class, five stars all around every time. I can only speak for myself, but I had to make a commitment to their recommendations, accept the truth about what got me there, stop making excuses sound like reasons and put in sincere work. If you’re fortunate enough to work with Steve H. You can expect someone who fully understands where you’re coming from, has solution based approaches to complex situations, has always been on point, several steps ahead of me. Out of sincere conviction and authentic heart for my well-being. How many people out there really show up for somebody like that in life…. Danielle, Marla, Laura, Alonzo, Jackie, Michael, are just a few of the refined superstars. I have been fortunate enough to have my back and best interests at hand without any self interest or personal gain. If you’re looking to stop making excuses into reasons and show up for yourself in this affliction, many of us struggle to survive. Give yourself a shot and you’re in the right place here. Ocean Monmouth care is amazing! They have helped me in so many ways and are always there for me. The nurses, counselors, front desk, director/surpervisor, literally everyone is amazing, kind, and caring. This place saved me and I can never thank them enough. Out of all the clinics around, this is the best one by far, no other clinic is as caring, helpful, and supportive as OMC. They take the time to really listen to you and help in any way they can. So if you’re looking for a place to begin recovery, ocean Monmouth care is the place for you. It will change your life for the better. This place is amazing probably the best clinic around the nurses and staff are amazing. I believe it's Helen who works the frost desk is amazing helpful,kind, funny, respectful, all of the staff at the front is nice, Donna is amazing super awesome and compassionate all of the girls are. Let alone their all pretty outside and inside. The faculty itself very clean, fast multiple windows. Place has greatly effected my life for the positive. My counselor Tess is amazing caring,. compassionate as well as Linda. IV yet to have a negative experience. If you need help this place is where you wanna go. I can't say enough positive things about the staff and facility. I'm super greatful to have them. Going here was one of the best decisions I made. If ur battling I would tell ya to just go and check it out you can always stop if it's not for you but if you give it a chance I believe this will save your life and help you get back to working and working out and or just making things more stable for you. I greatly appreciate all the doctors and the whole staff and I can't thank them all enough for coming in to work everyday to save lives and help us. I really hope they know how important each one of them is including the guards which are also super cool and nice as well as the janitors who keeps the facility super clean. I was in the ER last night. From the minute I walked in there everyone was excellent! They took the best of care of me, that I ever had. When I got to the room in the back of the ER, the two doctors were thorough. Excellent kind did all kinds of test on me. The nurses were excellent and they found out What was wrong with me. I had about five different symptoms that were serious. They did test bloodwork and they found out. 3E Ortho, A heartfelt thank you to Nurses Johnson and Lauren. You are both true assets to the nursing profession, and the care and compassion you showed my mother were deeply appreciated. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well, with one exception. Irene, I believe additional sensitivity training and a stronger understanding of EPIC workflow would be beneficial, particularly regarding medication delays not due to pharmacy processes. I also want to sincerely thank the charge nurse (a blonde woman, possibly in her 50s ,unfortunately I did not catch her name) for going above and beyond to help optimize my mother’s pain management. Your extra effort made a meaningful difference in her care and recovery. Thank you again to the team for caring for my mother during her stay.

Shack of a house.. fridge... And rooms with cots in them.. lol.. but there is a TV in the living room!!!! BRING ENTERTAINMENT!!! AND CIGARETTES!!..

My roommate just came back from a stay here and apparently it's not the 5-star hotel everyone was raving about. Firstly, if you're staying here overnight, pack more things than you may need if you want to be comfortable, they take your phone and you're not allowed to call anyone except to get food delivered or if it's to the person/service picking you up. The food wasnt terrible, one night they served chicken baked with BBQ sauce with corn on the cob and beans. If you like cats, great! They have some on the property and they're friendly (and they get to eat your leftovers). You're not allowed off the property so you wobt ve able to explore the abandoned farms in the vicinity on your free time, which you will have a lot of. So, bring something to do like a puzzle or crossword or whatever keeps your mind occupied. The only forms of entertainment will be some TV, magazines, basketball with a broken plastic crate for a hoop, kitties(!), smoking if you smoke, reading something like the back of a shampoo bottle or drawing if you're into that sort of thing, socializing can really help. The people who oversee your stay are actually really nice if you treat then nice (they're just doing their job) and overall the quality of your stay will depend greatly on the people staying with you. So, hopefully you'll be with people who you can trust to go take a shower without having your stuff potentially stolen (so dont bring valuables) but the stay was pretty good, it's really about the people there. They will give you clean bedding, a towel, blanket, act but the mattresses are .. not the best and quite noisy when shifting arround. If your mind is used to instant gratification like internet or TV, be prepared to be very bored if you dont bring something to read/draw on/ occupy your time with.

I cannot speak highly enough of HBH and their therapists. I’ve been working with my therapist, Bethany, for years now and she has changed my life for the better. She is always actively trying to help me improve my way of thinking by means of action and not just talk therapy. She’s always adaptable to my needs depending on where I’m at during my sessions and allows me the space I need to safely navigate my emotions. I’ve never once felt judged during any of my ups or downs. I’ve worked with many therapists growing up, and finding her was such a blessing and nothing short of a miracle. Not to brag (just kidding I’m totally bragging), but I definitely have the best therapist anyone could ever ask for. I’ve also been in a variety of their groups that are run by other therapists in the practice and each counselor has been engaging and passionate about what they do. Their groups are informative, supportive, and respectful. HBH genuinely cares for their patients . I’ve never had a negative experience with them. I am very fortunate to work with Dr. Rodriguez for addiction recovery. She has an amazing ability to connect with others, allow them to feel heard and interact in a non judgmental and compassionate way. I feel the same way about my counselor Paul Mann.
