I was recently at Chilton for minor surgery, I can not say enough good things about my care. From the friendly smile from the receptionist , the helpful volunteer in admissions to the surgical team. Serenity at Summit provided my son with exceptional care from the moment we made the first call. I was relieved that my insurance was accepted, but even more relieved when my son was assigned to his counselor, Sean. From the very beginning, I felt confident that my son was in the right place and working with the right person.
Sean kept me informed of every major development, whether positive or challenging. He communicated clearly, consistently, and with genuine concern for my son’s well being. When my son wanted to give up, which happened more than once, it was Sean’s dedication, patience, and steady guidance that kept him grounded. He supported my son through some very difficult moments and helped him stay committed to the program when he felt like walking away.
What impressed me most was that Sean never pushed my son to make decisions for anyone else not for me, not for him, not for the program. Instead, he helped my son understand that recovery only works when you choose it for yourself. That shift in mindset was transformative, and it happened because Sean knew how to reach him, speak to him, and guide him without judgment.
It is rare to find someone with this level of compassion and dedication for people they do not know personally. Sean’s own experience and journey make him a powerful example of what is possible. You cannot teach that kind of empathy. It comes from lived experience, resilience, and a genuine desire to help others out of the same darkness he fought his way through.
In my opinion, Sean is nothing short of a blessing for individuals and families facing the challenges of addiction. My son stayed, listened, and moved forward because of the support he received, and for that I am deeply grateful. Serenity at Summit is fortunate to have him, and so were we.

East Coast Recovery is amazing! It’s amazing because the people that work there are incredible and they care very much about seeing clients succeed. I initially planned on being at East Coast on a week to week basis, not knowing how it was going to be before I got there. The service I received and the help I got far exceeded all of my expectations. I ended up staying for over three months. I’ve been here just 3 weeks and I can already tell the difference. I’m more grounded, mindful and feel more calm and peaceful.
GenPsych teaches you skills to deal with life. CBT, DBT, mindfulness, coping skills and much more. The entire staff is nice, knows exactly what they’re doing and they personalize treatment as much possible. Best thing that’s happened to me in the past 2.5 years ❤️

Going to the Livingston GenPsych was one of the best things I have ever done for myself - if not the best thing I have ever done for myself. The therapists there are incredible - Julie, Charlotte, Mike, Kayla, Eric are all fantastic, incredible people who have changed so many lives including my own. They truly care. The office receptionist, Provy, is a queen and a kind, friendly face who instantly makes you feel safe and the security guard, Max, is a gem as well. It is such a great, loving place and it is what you make it. The DBT program saved my life - it is hard, but give yourself up to it. :)

This hospital's greatest strength is its comforting, chapel-like atmosphere. Beyond the medical team, the genuine consideration shown by the staff truly stands out. This high level of service made me feel more like a guest at a luxury hotel than a patient. The most memorable moment of kindness came from an employee taking out the trash, who greeted me with an incredibly warm and gentle smile.
However, I was disappointed to see people smoking in the outdoor areas, such as while waiting for valet or walking to the parking lot, with no one intervening.

Evas is a decent place that genuinely cares about there clients. I'd honestly say it's the best state funded halfway house in NJ. I've been here 6 months with no real complaints. The food could be a little better but at the end of the day it's a good place. Obviously this place is state funded and the majority of clients are on drug court or parole so there is no jacuzzi, pool and horses but like I said it’s not a bad place

I am and will forever be so grateful to this place and its staff. I feel I’ve learned so much about myself and now have a good awareness of why I’ve felt the way I have my whole life, so irritable and disconnected from the world. Big thank you to all the staff, Tamara, Ms. Mayling, Bryant, Dwayne, Tim, Ms Keisha, Isabella, Patrick, The Dave’s, Ms.Q, Gus, Vince, Dawn, all have the interns, everybody there helped me more then they will ever know by teaching me how to get honest and open minded to a new way of life. Turning point as well as life in general is what you make of it, I’ve been fighting with drug addiction for 20yrs and could never understand why no matter how successful I would get on the outside I would always turn back to drugs in the end. I finally came to understand that for me it had to be addressed on the inside, I had to open up about everything I’ve ever been through whether I thought it was relevant or not to my addiction. I’m so grateful that I’ve finally surrendered to this process, learned how to accept my past, help, and that this is a life long process that is well worth the effort. I was there November 10 2025 for a kidney stone procedure. It was beyond exceptional. Everyone had their jobs to do and it was done beyond my expectations . I could have easily gone to Mt Sinai or New York Presbyterian. But all my records are with the VA hospital and since I been going to them for about 6 years now I feel very comfortable. After I was sent home two days later I had a setback ,in excruciating pain and literally living two blocks away from NY Presbyterian I chose to go to the VA emergency care. It was 2:30am and 7 minutes later I was on a bed in the Urgent care with meds in my system pain free. I remember all the faces but not the names in the Urgent Care unit. people are constantly thanking me for my service . But God bless them all at the VA.

Great service offered to persons in need they have a methadone clinic and a residence. It is like a one-stop shop except there is no detox service offered. There are groups and structured programs for clients. I know of persons who have used the service and are now successful. If they did it, so can others. Staff listen to clients and create a system that caters to each and meet them where they at, while holding your hand safely during the process. Well done and thanks

At the clinic, I was having some problems getting to work on time. I was having a problem with getting my right amount of bottles and I wrote a grievance. Then a counselor from the back that heard my problem came out and began speaking to me. Her name was Elaughn Davis-Lance. She immediately went to the back, spoke to the doctors and got me double the amount of bottles I usually get for the inconveniences of not being able to get to work! Without her and doctor cadet, I would have had a lot worse problems and wouldn’t have handled the situation correctly. Thanks to her and the dock everything is a lot better and that day started off negative and turned positive. Thank you for all your help guys.

This is amazing place that saves people's lives over the years they have continued to upgrade and better the way the system of the Lennard Clinic runs in general if you come there in the morning by 6:00 a.m. you will see a doctor that day and become a client the same day as long as you meet the criteria and have the correct paperwork

Listen everyone in there is really nice and they care for you but one that I pull to the said and say she’s the best listen she the freaking best. She’ll help you when you need help, she’ll consult you when you’re down. She is just a straight up sweetheart. I consider as family! She’s a doll! ‘Hurt People , Hurt People’. I needed a free therapist and was able to have 5 intake sessions with a pleasant young woman. I benefited from these sessions as it is always rewarding when we analyze and acknowledge what is going on in our lives. So much was happening for me and I was not able to attend all the assigned sessions. Management was not able to communicate in a responsible or mature manner; I wonder maybe they too are prior clients who have graduated but do not have a total grip on their situation and sometimes need help themselves. My very pleasant intake person became insensitive, cold, ‘passive aggressive’ and quite non communicative. I lead the conversation and realized that I was being ‘expelled’. I really don’t know the reason as I do believe she has her own issues and the Leadership is not of a strong foundation with knowledge of servicing a diverse clientele. Such a shame because this has the potential to be a top notch program in a great community. I only wish I was able to find an experienced, strong, qualified leadership that is familiar with diversity and respect. I was feeling hurt as this was the second time I had to deal with leadership’s lack of sensitivity. It should not be just a JOB when people come to you for help. Fix the structure of this place.
