Randolph, NJ | Moving Mountains Recovery in Randolph, New Jersey is an alcohol and drug rehab center. The facility was founded by three individuals who’ve personally dealt with the challenges of addiction. The levels of care offered include detox, outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial care. Clients can be admitted for treatment through a phone call or | Programs Payment Options | I am a spouse of an individual that just completed a 28 day inpatient treatment plan. To be honest I am not even sure how we ended up with this provider, however it ended up being a true blessing. Not only was my husband taken good care of, I received several calls from his clinician to provide updates regarding his status, but also them checking on how I was doing and asking if I had any
questions/concerns. I was also given their contact numbers in case I needed to reach them at any point. My family feels very fortunate that our Husband/father ended up at this facility.

I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.)
Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools
Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion.
It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea.
I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days.
The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again.
They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings.
But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself.
It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice.
It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

My experience at Alina Lodge was truly life-changing. When I arrived, I was at one of the lowest points in my life, unsure if recovery was even possible for me. The staff, clinicians, and facilitators welcomed me with compassion, patience, and genuine care. From the very beginning, they created an environment where I felt safe enough to be honest about my struggles and begin the difficult work of recovery.
The clinicians at Alina Lodge are incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated. They helped me understand the underlying causes of my addiction and gave me the tools I needed to start rebuilding my life. The facilitators brought wisdom from their own experiences and guided our groups with empathy and understanding. Every day they showed up committed to helping each of us grow, even when we didn’t believe in ourselves.
Thank you!

On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. i’ve been here for a month and it’s been the happiest and healthiest i’ve been in years. the clinicians and staff are so friendly, supportive, and understanding, knowing exactly how to help carry each person through their recovery journey. i’ve seen every staff memeber go above and beyond for their clients, as well as go out of their way to be friendly and helpful on a daily basis. i’m continually confident in my sobriety and skill-building each day that i spend here, and want for nothing mentally or physically. they meet all of my needs and then some, offering assistance with reaching out to outside parties including insurance agencies, ensuring all communication is thoroughly managed without concern or stress on the client’s part. i’d recommend this organization to anyone looking to get sober and build proper support systems, because they have the skills to achieve those goals in strides for their clients. thank you to BlueCrest, your kindness and efforts do not go unnoticed.

My experience here couldn't have been better. I'm still here. I had a mid fossa craniotomy to patch a hole over my superior canal where bone did not develop. The results, even though this is day 2, are amazing. I no longer feel like dying is a better option. My vertigo is not as bad as it was. It was done by Dr. Bigelow and Dr. Moshel.
The bad reviews seem to come from the ER and pedes. Just a reminder, the ER is meant to only triage bad symptoms. At odd times, sometimes there is understaffing.
All the staff I've interacted with have been kind, professional, and personable, from the nurse that wiped my ass to the nurse that removed my catheter lol.
There's a great selection of food. I wasn't fond of the burger, but everything else was excellent. I haven't seen pics of this menu online, so I'll be sharing photos.
Thank you all!

From the moment I started working with him, he made me feel genuinely comfortable and welcomed, which is not easy when you’re dealing with something as personal as addiction. It was not a perfect experience - there were several miscommunications that detracted from the recovery but their management owned all mistakes and missteps - Bill and Jen were especially forthcoming in this, something I appreciated. Most of the other staff were exemplary in their roles in supporting patients in their journey - want to especially recognize Amber as someone who exemplified the lodge's ideals of compassion and professionalism, she made a difference in my daughter's life.

Its been 3 weeks since I completed the 28 day program on (August 5, 2025) at Alina Lodge . From the moment I arrived (July 8, 2025)I felt comfortable and safe. THIS PLACE NOT ONLY SAVED MY LIFE IT ALSO BROUGHT LIFE BACK TO ME MENTALLY EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY! The program they have is great and I learned more and more about addiction but even more so about myself. The staff there are great , kind, loving amd compassionate. They are there to help and as long as you ask for that help you will get it . The environment was amazing given the space and time to recover and reflect on each group session. My favorite spot to sit and reflect was in the gazebo close the the river . The food was great each meal was also good and filling. Now at 48 days clean today 8/25/2025 i feel so great my life has improved dramatically! Thanks to the wrok i put it and the structure of Alina Lodge!!! I love you guys and thank you for helping me regain traction in my life I will be forever grateful!

This was my first time visiting this hospital, and I cannot say enough positive things about the care I received in the ER.
After dealing with a medical issue for the past eight or nine years and feeling unheard by many providers along the way, Dr. O’Neill truly listened to me. She took the time to understand my concerns, provided a possible diagnosis, and pointed me in the right direction with the resources and guidance I needed to finally start getting answers and feeling better.
Thanks to Dr. O’Neill, I am now being treated by another wonderful doctor who also listened to me when others did not. That referral and guidance have made a tremendous difference in my life, and I am incredibly grateful.
I would also like to recognize Nurse Erika M., who was equally compassionate, attentive, and professional. From the moment I was seen in the ER, both Dr. O’Neill and Nurse Erika M. treated me with genuine care, respect, and kindness. They took the time to listen, answer my questions, and make me feel like my concerns truly mattered.
Their professionalism, dedication, and willingness to listen made an impact that I will never forget. After years of searching for answers, I finally felt heard. I will forever be grateful for the care I received and highly recommend this hospital to anyone seeking compassionate, patient-centered care.

Chilton has been my main hospital for over 50 years. I have always gotten great care there. My one complaint had been from when I had received a solicitation for a donation that clearly indicated that my personal information had been shared with a non-clinical entity. I was furious! It took a while, but I finally tracked down the hospital's attorney who handled their HIPAA policy. Sure enough, Chilton's HIPAA privacy policy permitted this. We, as patients, have no say over the provisions of anyone's HIPAA privacy policy.
Since I have an upcoming appointment, I have now received a copy of their updated policy, and we are being given the right to opt out of receiving these solicitations. Hooray, Chilton! You have done the right thing!
5 Stars!

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. No judgement, they really just want to help and are good humans! Also, the way they go about treatment, I felt really cared about , from the 1st day. I need a higher level of treatment but I will be going to Outpatient there after..
I can't recommend this place enough. They have no hard chairs that your ass goes numb from sitting in for hours, they have leather, lazy boy chairs, in the entire place, they have a quite room where you can rest if you are detoxing or dont feel good, they feed you great food, they have snacks and sodas and I was literally told "think of this place as your home away from home" and from the clinical staff, the nursing staff, the Dr., they're all special people. xoxoxoxo
