Renfrew in Paramus, NJ has been spectacularly helpful in my recovery from a 25 year eating disorder. Every staff member is respectful, empathetic, and insightful. I felt welcome from the moment I walked through the doors. And, the assistance began with my first contact with Renfrew personnel. I immediately knew I had chosen the right place for my recovery. I recommend Renfrew to anyone facing the challenges of ED.

I struggled with an eating disorder for years and years. I left university to go to Renfrew, and it changed my life for the better. One thing about eating disorders is that if you don’t want help, you will not be open to receiving any help. All of the negative reviews seem to be people forced into getting treatment. When you are ready to make the decision, renfrew is something I would highly recommend. Yes, it is intensive. Yes, it will make you cry. Yes, a lot will be brought up. But facing your eating disorder is the only way to go through it. My team was Alyssa for a therapist and Ethan for a dietician, and they helped me in ways I did not know they could. I am back in university and I don’t have my eating disorder controlling my life anymore. If you are reading this and need more insight or have any questions, please reach out!

Compassionate staff, they truly helped me get to a better, healthier place. Yes, the program is strict (I mean would you trust a center that didn't have rules?), but you just have to trust the process.

I’ve been doing so much better since I’ve came to this place my therapist is great very caring and understanding my physiatrist is phenomenal also if your not pleased with how your being treated by a fellow member of this company you can complain and they will do their best accommodate your needs

I went to su casa in 1985 no friends family or home 12 months later I left clean with a purpose in life still clean 39 years

I don't know what this place is like now but I can tell you 30 years ago when I was a homeless addict, I came to try and get clean This program works it's not easy but neither is being on the street looking for money to get high. This is the program where you go when you have no friends no family no money and no insurance. It's no frills but it's clean they feed you and you get to learn how to live drug free with other people. I think we should invest in more places like this one. I Felt I had to add this after reading some other reviews yes this place is a very old building part of our job as we got clean was also to do the daily chores of keeping Our house clean. I don't know about some of the other people who were there but I was literally sleeping either on the trains or just in the street somewhere so This place was a step up for me. 🙏🏻 greatful every day.

Back in 1971, I accompanied a friend of mine who went through TC program in Rehersburg, PA. My friend had an appointment to visit an elderly psychiatrist/counselor (Mr. Eisenberg). After my friend had his appointment, I was beckoned into his office. This so called counselor asked me a number of very intrusive and personal questions. I had no drug nor addiction problems. I didn't ask for so called "counseling". God fearing young man and a firm Christian! Anyone else from early 1970s ever encountered this guy?

So glad I crossed paths with the staff and clients. I learned alot of things about myself and was able to process things that I was going through in life with the staff and the clients

I would highly recommend Summit Behavioral Group to anyone seeking a stepping stone for their journey in recovery. The therapists and groups provided me with the necessary foundation I needed to start my recovery. I particularly looked forward to groups led by Ashley, the Alumni Coordinator, she was relatable and allowed us to feel comfortable sharing about ourselves. This is a great place to begin our lifelong journey!

I had a great experience with summit. They always made me feel like they cared I'm going on 11 months with out using drugs or alcohol im truly grateful couldn't ask for a better place.

I went to realization when I first got sober. They saved my life, I was a shell of a person, I just made 10 years sober last month, I graduated nursing school and am working towards my masters in nursing education. i can’t say enough about how much support I got while I was there. I “graduated” after a year of outpatient rehab, and they set me up with a full support team for my transition.

Realisation Center. What to say? Im in my second year of sobriety and they did so much for me. Highly recomending for anyone who has addictions issues. Thanks a LOT!

When I was in active use I had a partner who was also in active use and when he passed away unexpectedly I knew it was time for me to get sober. 4 months later I became a client at Realization Center and 4 months after that I stopped using. I have been sober for 22 months and I am a full-time student. It's thanks to Realization Center that I can live a truthful, sober and fulfilling life. Thank you so much for helping me get my life back.

I'm currently in mental health groups also ,therapy sessions there at the Denville ,Nj location ;and I can say that the staff in the wellness office are very professional and polite and helpful in any information or concerns I ask or have. The therapist there is awesome and understanding, but he recently left to a other job besides that I forgot to mention it's a no judgment zone at groups.I will continue to update this in future post to see if feel the same. Update things are still going well ,but the downside about the place is sometimes the communication about transportation( pick ups ) are especially unpredictable may forget to pick you up sometimes because of lack of drivers or communication/weather ;and sometimes group's time are changing every month and people leave for vacation or which jobs. My old therapist move to a different job so they replaced me with someone else. I'm still attending my mental health groups and I see a psychiatrist for my medication. I will update you guys soon take care always.

Place have wonderful people working there now . Asst director and cashmera is the best .they made me a better person without judgment or guilt. I would recommend anybody for thos treatment.

Great school

I feel okay because the staffs had helped me when I was struggling with so much anxiety and depression. I like how I have a conversation with the staffs when I really to let it out and journal. Judy , Danielle , Gabriel , Carlos , and Giulia has been a wonderful nurses to me I’m glad to have that conversation about the things I need.

This review is overdue and important, for me to share how great an experience we had receiving mental health treatment and support for my son at Gracie Square Hospital. The entire staff throughout the facility especially on the fourth floor unit are very professional and kind. My son is doing so much better. Having a family member who is experiencing mental health challenges can be very frightening and overwhelming, taking them to the right place makes a world of difference. I was extremely hesitant to send my daughter to Gracie Square after reading many negative reviews, but our experience was truly a 10 out of 10. Security was exceptional. They were professional, respectful, and made us feel comfortable immediately. Her social worker, Sylvie, was incredibly thorough with discharge planning and kept me informed every step of the way. Her nurse practitioner, Katherine, was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely invested in my daughter’s well-being. Both providers listened to my concerns at a time when I felt no one else was listening, and that meant more than I can express. Their support and responsiveness helped us feel safe and understood during a very stressful moment. The nurses in the unit were incredibly kind. When I called at night to check on my daughter, they were always polite, patient, and reassuring. One important suggestion for anyone writing reviews: please mention the unit you or your loved one was on. I believe Gracie Square has four different units, and reviews often don’t specify which one they refer to. It makes it difficult to understand the context of each experience because the units can vary. My daughter was on the 4th floor unit I am truly grateful for the care my daughter received, and I believe the staff on her unit deserve to be recognized.
