I wanted to wait a year before i left a review about my experience at Vista, and here we are. I am 1 year and 1 month sober !! When i first came to the facility i was in terrible shape, physically and mentally. I fought the treatment for weeks before i saw that i was actually getting better. I found my higher power in this place and my life has changed in dramatic ways. I have no urge whatsoever to return to my previous way of life and i must give the credit to Vista. I want to thank all of the people there for helping me see things differently. God is all around this place if you recognize the many signs.

I completed the 30-day program at Vista Taos and had an amazing experience and met a lot of great people during my stay. I have been in other treatment centers and Vista Taos is by far the best! JD was my therapist and had great knowledge and experience when it came to relapse prevention, identifying triggers and learning about the disease of addiction as well as tapping into trauma and trauma response actions. If you're looking for a rehab that works, this is the place to go. The environment is serene and peaceful. Weekly outings, 5-star meals, off-site meetings, individual therapy, queen sized comfy beds, full bathrooms with tubs or standing showers all accommodated for a comfortable stay for me while I was being rehabilitated for Methamphetamines and Alcohol. The staff was kind and respectful towards my needs and gave great inspiration and encouragement during my stay. Vista Taos is by far the best rehab in New Mexico. If you're searching for yourself or a loved one, this is the place to go. Don't hesitate, make the call now!

The facilities and environment and programs at Vista Taos are exceptional. I researched many rehab facilities in the U.S. in several states (NM, Ariz., Utah, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Florida) and after careful consideration of all features, size, programs, quality of care, offerings, environment -- Vista came out on top, as my #1 pick best of all rehab programs.Also, the intake counselor Jeremy was extraordinary, he took so much time and care to discuss programs and specifics, and advise me about pros and cons of rehab in general, what to look for, how to evaluate programs, and how to select the best options for my family member. He even helped me network with other rehabs to get their info and compare. He is an amazing resource and the most caring, giving intake person I encountered in all rehabs I searched. Much has changed in the Clinic in the past 6 months or so, especially an increase in medical professionals and the overall quality of care. Also, the staff are employees of "Primary Care Solutions" (home-based in Dallas, TX) and not the VA, so they are probably less vulnerable to the personnel cuts and service disruptions that the VA is experiencing. Finally, I find the staff at the clinic to be as as caring and competent as the VA employees at the Albuquerque Regional VA Hospital.

I had 1ba really good experience at Hoy Recovery. I successfully completed a 90 day program during the summer of 2022 and since have returned home and also went back to work . I really enjoyed the months I stayed at Hoy for the most part. It's not a resort or anything like that but it is a farm in the Rio Grande Valley of Velarde, NM. Even the food was amazing (shoutout to the chefs, you made every meal feel special!). The activities were another huge part of my healing, basketball, pickleball, volleyball courts right on property, yoga, art supplies, gym equipment, hikes twice a week, church, Recovery Dharma, and so much more. There was always something positive and grounding to be a part of.

I found Sandstone to be a small, personalized and compassionate detox and recovery facility. The staff there treated me with knowledge, respect and kindness. I was struggling with a decade of dependence on Rx meds, including Xanax, accompanied with severe alcohol abuse. My detox was brutal and only possible due to the compassionate care of Savannah and the rest of the medical staff. Following detox, the group therapy and counselling were essential to my recovery (thanks Caleb, Jill, Mariah, Alexia , along with the other residents who shared their lives). And there's a gentle soul named Tyler who embodies all that's good in this crazy world.

The staff was great even though they are all highly overworked, and the management team is slightly disorganized. Overall the only way that I can see Ascend recovery working for anyone is if they grab their soberity and work it for themselves and utilize the staff for their own needs, otherwise they are just keeping you away from your preferred substances for the 30 days. I personally do not regret any of the time that I was there, but the "daily activities" and resources could use a complete overhaul and focus on a more structured curriculum versus the free time that is allowed.

I have been using this VA for over 8 years now, and it has been the best VA out of the 4 different VA's that I used over many years. Recently the community care office has been slow at renewals, but I know they are short handed now. I would highly recommend this VA and we must fight to keep it the way it is.

I run a sober living house and I will only send the females to this program that once upon time saved my lost soul. Drowning in pain , hopeless and lost. I got help here. First time at a VA clinic since I separated in September. It is a nice facility that is clean and well taken care of. All of the staff that I encountered from the pharmacy, lab and front desk were all really nice and informative considering I just separated. I will say, I was confused by the kiosk next to the pharmacy. I grabbed a ticket and waited then realized that it was for registration and not the pharmacy. Just kind of misleading being right next to check in. That and wasn’t aware they only dispense a few weeks of meds then mail your full requested prescription. Definitely a different process than MTF’s. Overall, good experience though.

I attended their inpatient addiction treatment program, Crestone Residential Treatment Services (CRTS) in 2019-2020. This was the best experience I've had at a treatment center. Their entire staff was nothing but supportive and helpful time and time again (Carol was my fave 😁), and their way of showing each of their patients that they were genuinely invested in each of us and our success seemed effortless, second nature. I stayed for 60 days and didn't have a single negative experience that entire time (except for when Shah's Kababs came around again on the meal schedule and the staff decided to order from a different place knowing I was counting down the days before I could order another Falafel Sandwich.... But I guess we can leave it in the past)
I'm only leaving a comment now because I've been recommending CRTS Everytime I discuss treatment with a friend ever since and when i needed inpatient again last year I tried to reach out but never got a response and one friend was told they had closed. . So if this is correct can you guys please remove it from your list of provided services or add a note about how CRTS is no longer offered, or any type of clear confirmation? I've searched the internet for hours on at least 3 different occasions looking for something. I never get called back when leaving messages.

This place has honestly changed my life for the better from the one on one's to the many various groups it helps to talk to others who share a similar experience with you, this place of therapy feels safe ! Unlike other places I have been to in the past , the staff is friendly and always welcoming and they help with numerous things other than therapy, if your in a predicament with your housing situation or any type of real life situation they are more than willing to help, I highly recommend seeing Brandi Hendrix and any group that has Marlo Baca. ❤️

Impeccable service through the phone, great therapists, really welcoming! They helped me get the care I needed and supported me with my decision to switch to a more specialized program. Very people oriented!
Edit: After going to a different program, I have to knock off a star. I learned more coping skills and about my mental health in 3 days compared to the 2 weeks I was at sandstone. Sandstone is still an excellent place, I think they just need to work on eduction and skills practice!!
