Thank you! Jackie S 3 months ago Update 12/23/2025 From the moment I walk in, until my next visit, even if I’m in pain I feel like I’m in good hands! A lot has changed since my initial review, a new diagnosis has come about that is slowing my progress from where I would like to be. That said I’ve been told I’m doing the best that I can and I truly believe that. Dr. Saxton has been instrumental these last few months, from the actual physical therapy I receive, to the at home exercises and our conversations, I would be lost without his guidance and his support. This has been one of the most mind-boggling diagnosis is that I still every time I think I understand and comprehend start back at square one. He has gotten me through some of the most difficult months I’ve had this year, and has helped me see things from a different perspective. He’s working with my new PCP and other doctors to get the best results and hopefully remission in the future. I never feel rushed or pressured, and I haven’t been there once without pain, that should say something….Even on my worst days, I look forward into going into the office. When you walk in there’s always a smile waiting for you, and same on your way out. I feel Physically, as well as emotionally supported, which is key in any recovery. I am extremely scared for my future, given the new Diagnosis as well as finding out I have a nonunion Jones fracture…I have a safe place to go and talk about my fears, concerns and every time I think I can’t do something, I have a positive experience even with the pain. I swear these people are good and so kind. They show you empathy, not pity, they treat you with dignity, regardless of your financial disposition or disabilities (visible or not). I’ve never had this type of support from a medical provider, let alone the entire office. I feel so grateful that I was referred to them and they are willing to work with me and my issues for the foreseeable future. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about their patients, not just a check, I would say this is your place to go! There’s a physical therapy office quite literally three minutes up the street from me and I would rather drive 31 minutes into another county to come here. 09/17/2025 Never at the ripe old age of 39 did I think I would find myself in a position where I’m going to have to relearn how to walk. The last few months have been a wild ride that I didn’t know I got on! When switching from in-home PT to outpatient, I did a lot of research and had quite a few options. I knew a doctor who had personally gone there and recovered phenomenally, which definitely impacted my decision-making. When someone has only good things to say about a very difficult injury/recovery and the experience they had, I find that to be way more important than whatever swimming pool or other equipment they may have. I only recently started at the Dunkirk location in September 2025. It’s scary, it’s painful, but I feel that I am in the best place that I could possibly be for my recovery. I feel like the doctors as well as the staff are not only friendly but actually empathetic and listen to what you’re saying. Having positive support that is not dismissive of your symptoms and is willing to work with you and meet you where you are (but in no way babies you) is not only helpful but, I believe, pivotal for my physical and mental health during this difficult time. I so want to just be able to walk my dogs around the block, go outside and look at the moon in a starlit sky, and sit in the sun. I know these are things I can’t necessarily do at this moment, but I do feel that with the help that I am currently receiving, as slow of a recovery as this might be, I will and do have the chance to actually recover! I look forward to continuing to bust my butt trying to get better and also taking it easy, as rest is equally as important. Turning point rehab is a gorgeous brand new building it's like staying a hotel without the pool. Caz Recovery Inc did an amazing job by selecting Renee to be the program director as well with selecting Alyssa to be Assistant director. And this is my thought of each staff member. Renee has always had time to speak with me and she is never on her personal phone at work everytime I see her she's work hard as always. If it wasn't for Renee allowing me to take my NYS Barber Exam I wouldn't of had my barbers license and here's the kicker Caz Recovery set me up with access vr who paid for my schooling and tools so Renee =5* Alyssa is very fair and reasonable any time I needed her for anything she was right there and shes an amazing yoga instructor she gets 5*. Every single counselor Jess Eric Michelle Javier and Sarah and little Debbie were always respectful and caring and gave me great information and always supported me and any time I asked for help or to teach more about self sabotage or anything they took the time to do so and I feel like I built and great unique relationship with each and everyone there. Yoga is a voluntary group no one is forced to do anything they don't want to. I had Regina as my doctor as tph not Theresa and they supplied me with my meds they never took me off any medication ever so they were both great to me. John the driver who was my counselor twice is the most straightforward dude I ever met I built an amazing professional relationship with that man he has Never once encouraged anyone to drink or do drugs nor did any other staff member. Jose is also great he has helped me in more ways than anyone I can think of. The entire nursing crew CJ Brie and Deb always made sure I had my refills and they scheduled all of my appointments any time I was sick they made sure I was seen and got the proper treatment I needed. As for the Night staff Ron and big money Mike they were always down to earth and cool as hell to talk to them 2 guys are true gems. Turning point helped me get my life back and find myself again they supplied me with housing treatment, a barbering career and many great times. What other rehab will take you to Walmart meeting the beach and bison and bills games NOT ONE but turning did all of those things for me plus Alot more. Turning point truly cares it's the residents who come in and don't want to be clean are the ones who get mad and trash talk the place because the doctor takes them off of Narcotics in a inpatient treatment facility where the residents who want to stay clean can stay clean so if u don't want to be clean don't come to to turning point but if u do wanna get clean and receive the best medical care groups and help as possible then go to turning point. Everyone is extremely kind, considerate, and efficient. They manage my medication, and provide counseling. I'm lucky enough to say that Sara Booth has been my counselor 2 x a month all these years. She is phenomenal. She listens, is compassionate, has offered to go above and beyond ..... as in hold a family group counseling session. I think of her more as a friend than a counselor. If I need to speak to her in between appointments, she will call me... briefly... but long enough to calm me down. On nights or weekends, Best Self has a number to call if you are having a very tough time. You are connected with a live counselor. Once, a man talked to me for about an hour. It will most likely be about 30 min. It's such a comfort knowing I'm not "alone". Don't let the facade of the N. Collins building turn you off. They were very supportive got me through a lot of hard times I didn’t have the greatest upbringing, but the first time I fell in love With a boy, he was a resident there as well. I don’t have a whole Lotta great memories in my life, but I remember being there and I remember having somebody that I could talk to whether it was a staff member or staff member in the unit. The counselors used to sing a song and play guitar and it was such an amazing song and this day I remember that song, I remember going on activities and playing baseball and finally for the first time in my life having somebody that actually listen to me I would actually love to be able to get a hold of an employee there. His name is Glenn. He’s 83 and had a fall and hit his pretty bad. From the time we walked in - the service, professionalism, level of care and concern and pleasant attitudes of the entire staff was first rate. Madeline Jackson checked us in and she was so unbelievably kind it was like a breath of fresh air. The Triage Nurse, X Ray Tech, RN and Doctor that treated him were one nicer than the next. And knowing his age and that it was a head injury he was seen quickly within minutes of us checking in and everything was fast tracked. I believe Dr. Gerald Goreman is the head ER Dr there. He and his team do an excellent job. My Dad and I thank you for you care, concern and service!!! That was my experience with Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Even though they don’t have enough hospital infrastructure the team is amazing. Sure the waiting room is interesting to say the least, but the staff was amazing. The security guard happily walked me to the ER at night from the main building to ensure my safety. The EMT nurse Ciayana (I think that’s how it was spelled) was walking around checking on people in the waiting room, she was so helpful, friendly and caring. The nurses, doctors, specialists- everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. They took care of me right away, made me feel comfortable and covered every possibility of concern. I was there for some time but they moved at a quick pace to get all the testing done. I have nothing bad to say about this hospital. I am so thankful that they took such great care of me.
