When I went up to the front desk to check on my mom, I was feeling overwhelmed and had tears in my eyes. The receptionist, who I believe was named Victoria, immediately noticed and offered me kindness and support. Her compassion and understanding helped me through a very emotional moment. I felt extremely respected and cared for—not only as a family member, but also in the way my mom was treated. Her kindness truly helped put me at ease during a stressful time. If you or a loved one ever needs surgery, I highly recommend the wonderful staff at UPMC’s ACS Ambulatory Surgery Center. And if I have her name correct, a special thank-you to Victoria at the front desk. ❤️ Elizabeth B 1 month ago I have a serious medical condition and spend a lot of time at UPMC in Erie, but was in Jamestown yesterday and had to go to the ER. I just wanted to say going in I was nervous because I haven't heard the best things about this hospital, but I just wanted to say the doctor who was there yesterday around 3 was absolutely wonderful. He was so caring and listened to everything I said and was so understanding. They helped me with my pain flare up and ran all the necessary tests to make sure my condition was not worsening. Everyone was so very kind and I would definitely go here again in the future if I had any other issues! Thank you everyone who took such great care of me yesterday. Erica 1 month ago I'll be honest. I went here looking for medical transport to a larger medical facility like Buffalo for a unique problem I was having. As much as they were willing to do so, Buffalo was not accepting transfers, so they admitted me. I was there for a couple days until they found a great solution to my problem. When I moved to back to Jamestown the CBOC would be the 5th facility I have used for medical care after retiring from 23 years of service. The service here is compassionate, caring and skilled. The fact that they have all three is impressive since I found care where all or some of these three elements are missing. You will be treated properly here. They do a fantastic job. Thank you! Jackie S 6 months ago Update 12/23/2025 From the moment I walk in, until my next visit, even if I’m in pain I feel like I’m in good hands! A lot has changed since my initial review, a new diagnosis has come about that is slowing my progress from where I would like to be. That said I’ve been told I’m doing the best that I can and I truly believe that. Dr. Saxton has been instrumental these last few months, from the actual physical therapy I receive, to the at home exercises and our conversations, I would be lost without his guidance and his support. This has been one of the most mind-boggling diagnosis is that I still every time I think I understand and comprehend start back at square one. He has gotten me through some of the most difficult months I’ve had this year, and has helped me see things from a different perspective. He’s working with my new PCP and other doctors to get the best results and hopefully remission in the future. I never feel rushed or pressured, and I haven’t been there once without pain, that should say something….Even on my worst days, I look forward into going into the office. When you walk in there’s always a smile waiting for you, and same on your way out. I feel Physically, as well as emotionally supported, which is key in any recovery. I am extremely scared for my future, given the new Diagnosis as well as finding out I have a nonunion Jones fracture…I have a safe place to go and talk about my fears, concerns and every time I think I can’t do something, I have a positive experience even with the pain. I swear these people are good and so kind. They show you empathy, not pity, they treat you with dignity, regardless of your financial disposition or disabilities (visible or not). I’ve never had this type of support from a medical provider, let alone the entire office. I feel so grateful that I was referred to them and they are willing to work with me and my issues for the foreseeable future. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about their patients, not just a check, I would say this is your place to go! There’s a physical therapy office quite literally three minutes up the street from me and I would rather drive 31 minutes into another county to come here. 09/17/2025 Never at the ripe old age of 39 did I think I would find myself in a position where I’m going to have to relearn how to walk. The last few months have been a wild ride that I didn’t know I got on! When switching from in-home PT to outpatient, I did a lot of research and had quite a few options. I knew a doctor who had personally gone there and recovered phenomenally, which definitely impacted my decision-making. When someone has only good things to say about a very difficult injury/recovery and the experience they had, I find that to be way more important than whatever swimming pool or other equipment they may have. I only recently started at the Dunkirk location in September 2025. It’s scary, it’s painful, but I feel that I am in the best place that I could possibly be for my recovery. I feel like the doctors as well as the staff are not only friendly but actually empathetic and listen to what you’re saying. Having positive support that is not dismissive of your symptoms and is willing to work with you and meet you where you are (but in no way babies you) is not only helpful but, I believe, pivotal for my physical and mental health during this difficult time. I so want to just be able to walk my dogs around the block, go outside and look at the moon in a starlit sky, and sit in the sun. I know these are things I can’t necessarily do at this moment, but I do feel that with the help that I am currently receiving, as slow of a recovery as this might be, I will and do have the chance to actually recover! I look forward to continuing to bust my butt trying to get better and also taking it easy, as rest is equally as important. Everyone is extremely kind, considerate, and efficient. They manage my medication, and provide counseling. I'm lucky enough to say that Sara Booth has been my counselor 2 x a month all these years. She is phenomenal. She listens, is compassionate, has offered to go above and beyond ..... as in hold a family group counseling session. I think of her more as a friend than a counselor. If I need to speak to her in between appointments, she will call me... briefly... but long enough to calm me down. On nights or weekends, Best Self has a number to call if you are having a very tough time. You are connected with a live counselor. Once, a man talked to me for about an hour. It will most likely be about 30 min. It's such a comfort knowing I'm not "alone". Don't let the facade of the N. Collins building turn you off. The nurses in Labor&Delivery( Victoria, Kiana, Amanda, Jade) and postpartum( Laurie, Dawn, Alyssa) are absolute angels. They were so attentive, made me so comfortable from beginning to end, they were amazing at handling our baby . Midwife Mindy Clark delivered him and with her and the nurses directions had him out in 5 minutes!! You are in luck if you get any of these nurses, or midwives Mindy or Judith on your care team . Blanking on anesthesiologist name but he did a great job with the epidural, and doctor who offered to insert foley balloon last minute before her shift was over just to help me out!! I was in such capable hands and so thankful for these amazing people who work here ! Only complaint is the lady the first night taking food orders would not let me" double order " even though I was prescribed double ordering think her name was Janine?!! Otherwise all the food was amazing and highly recommend having your baby at St Vincent's!!!!! They were very supportive got me through a lot of hard times I didn’t have the greatest upbringing, but the first time I fell in love With a boy, he was a resident there as well. I don’t have a whole Lotta great memories in my life, but I remember being there and I remember having somebody that I could talk to whether it was a staff member or staff member in the unit. The counselors used to sing a song and play guitar and it was such an amazing song and this day I remember that song, I remember going on activities and playing baseball and finally for the first time in my life having somebody that actually listen to me I would actually love to be able to get a hold of an employee there. His name is Glenn.
