When you find someone like Richelle who is not just passionate about her job but truly cares for the people and community - that kind of dedication to the cause helps me to feel not so alone. I was in Astro home for children back in 1972 and I remember they put me in the cottage I’ll never forget Frank Mulhern, and his wife Donna Mulhern, and their son Keith I remember Artie Freeney I remember Dave Tompkins and Terry the house maid I remember sister Patricia wow so many years ago and I still remember their names. I am now 56 years old going on 57 this year so you know that was many many years ago. I had some good experiences there, but I’ll never forget the day. The best decision I ever made, this wasn't my first treatment center but definitely the last. I spent 6 months here and changed my life forever. The program and top notch AA, the staff is unforgettable. This place can change your life too but remember the work is personal. They give you the tools and teach you how to use them its up to you after that. The program invites you to change you just have to be willing. This place is amazing. The staff is beyond incredible. They make you feel like family. They truly care for you. I stayed for 95 days. Best thing I ever did. Oh and you eat like a king lol some of the best food ever and the bakery is out of this world. In all seriousness this place is an amazing place to get help. I felt welcomed by all the other guests as well. Everyone is there for the same reason so its very easy to get along and you build a family forever . I've been out for over 6 months now and I still talk to at least 15 of the guys. Highly recommend. In fact I have already recommend it to a few people. And i met some people here in bennington vt where I go to AA that went to h.w back in the day. Can't wait to go back for a prime rib dinner soon..

I felt I had to write this review because the negative ones don’t reflect the truth of my experience. From the moment I arrived, every single person—from security and the front desk staff to the nurses and doctors—was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. The hospital itself was spotless, and I never once felt like “just another patient.” Instead, I was cared for as if I were a family member. My surgery went smoothly, and I was supported every step of the way. I am overjoyed with the level of care I received and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need.

I've been with NMHBH for(maybe) 20 years now.
I've seen 3 women counselors. I literally walked right out in the middle of each session.
One woman was constantly late. She would go to her office and spend even more time. Eventually, I was called in and ONLY had 10-15 minutes left to talk. All the while, she was putzing at her desk with her back towards me.
Another counselor, I was explaining how I feel with the physical aspects of having anxiety and panic attacks. To me it is physical. So, when I mentioned all this to her,
TRUE STORY!!!...AND I QUOTE...(with a tick of the tongue)she replies,
"Oh! I don't believe that!!"
I was in complete shock 🤯! I gave the counselor a piece of my mind and stormed out of the office.
I thought counselors are supposed to be sympathetic. 🤔 Hmmm?? Listens well and has GOOD advice to give that will certainly help with your everyday difficult situations, troubles, uncertainties etc. I received no 😣 helpful feedback. I don't seem to get along with any female counselors or women in general. I'm still a patient at NMHBH. Now I only go every 3 months just to check in & review my medications. This is only MY experience. Perhaps you'll find a counselor for yourself & hopefully be able to establish a relationship that is detrimental to your well-being.

Hi everybody! I am a current resident at Samaritan village's inpatient and methadone facility and I think they have a wonderful program! I have been to many programs and this is by far the best. In their residential program, you have access you methadone maintainence although it is not required, you receive your psychiatric medications and have an on premises psychiatrist and primary care Dr although you may see your own. I see theirs and they are wonderful. They do not chastise you if your on a controlled psychiatric medications, it is considered and often allowed if you have a diagnosed. They offer both methadone and Suboxone and the clinic in the Richmond Hill facility has their methadone clinic right downstairs so you can dose upon waking up. The staff is caring and professional, and the community is caring as well. Well that's about all I have to say! If you are struggling with substance abuse and looking to change your life, look no further! This place is 5* and fully covered by almost all insurance as far as I know! I have Medicaid and they cover my services here

Tbh I was here for about two months and I transferred to Phoenix house and now I'm pissed I miss Samaritan village Richmond hill thought It wasn't a good.fit for me turns out I regret leaving so bad just like every one said but now I will move on love you guys

Rolling Hills Recovery Center is the best! A loved one went there and had a great experience. From yoga to music therapy, they offer so many programs for those in recovery that go beyond other rehabs. They even have equine therapy at a farm nearby. Bobby, the Director of Client Care Services, was a gem and really cares about his clients. Highly recommend.

I agree with Carl a comment down. I have been to Marworth in the past and it was the best experience and gave me many tools to use on the outside. Staff was amazing. Now 2025 it's a different story some staff in so nice. Now for the nurses station I am very concerned. The nurses talk about you right In front of you and talk about other patience calling them by the drug they use ex. (Methhead) I find this very unprofessional especially in the line of work they do. Maybe the nurses need to be on the otherside of the desk. When I was there in the past it was calm and no drama and chaoticness from patients(maybe a little drama). I think most were there because they had to because court order. Also most patients seemed to be likely to use again once out. It seemed to be a joke to them while I really wanted the help and took it seriously. Marworth might as well be the next First hospital or psych ward. I was very overwhelmed and somewhat scared to be there. I left at day 4. My best bet is to seek help elsewhere if you really want to help yourself

The VA gets a bad rap but the people make it good. The system is tough to work with but like I said all the workers, from janitors to Doctors and nurses make it bearable.
