The receptionist greets you with a smile, which I know is easy only sometimes when interacting with the public. Dr. Sheryl Joyner is the epitome of professionalism, wisdom, and warmth. Equally, those who work with Dr. Joyner are a joy! Usually, I have "white coat" syndrome when I visit the doctor, and the anxiety elevates my blood pressure. However, nurses like Rashida King had me laughing and at ease in the short walk from the reception area to the doctor's office--no high blood pressure! Furthermore, Dr. Joyner and Nurse King were informative, relatable, and authentically caring. I still do. I still tell her Merry Christmas and everything I got lucky though they gave me Shaun and my name is Shaun too so I guess that was a sign. He has truly got me through some tough times.I don’t understand why they don’t have five stars reviews, but it is impossible to satisfy everybody so I always look at it like that because they couldn’t be no kinder and helpful people than the people that work there. From the moment Dr. Thomas arrived she has handled my issues expeditiously and correctly the first time. Her nurse returns calls the same day and is results oriented. I was here before CBOC came to town. Trust me, don’t knock a local VA facility that so many dedicated officials worked so hard to bring to us for our benefit. No, like the military, they’re not perfect but from my perspective they are dedicated professionals grinding through each and every day in the most bureaucratic agency of the US government. I have never been to a hospital where the people were so nice to me and treated me so nice and went above and beyond to make me comfortable and feel better . I've been here 8 days and I've had the best nurses and assistance transporters everyone has gone above and beyond for me and I know I don't deserve it the only thing that has kept me from having another heart attack is the laughter and fun that they've given me while going through the most traumatic experience of my life. Nutrition one above and beyond . I've been to every department mri heart catheter and many many more. I do have two suggestions even though my experience was amazing and I have no complaints. One the MRI department needs a second MRI and maybe preferably for a bigger people. I'm average size and it was a tight fit. Two. Find a way to honor and support these great friendly staff you have.
