The receptionist greets you with a smile, which I know is easy only sometimes when interacting with the public. Dr. Sheryl Joyner is the epitome of professionalism, wisdom, and warmth. Equally, those who work with Dr. Joyner are a joy! Usually, I have "white coat" syndrome when I visit the doctor, and the anxiety elevates my blood pressure. However, nurses like Rashida King had me laughing and at ease in the short walk from the reception area to the doctor's office--no high blood pressure! Furthermore, Dr. Joyner and Nurse King were informative, relatable, and authentically caring. This place has gotten so much better in the last six years. It’s like night and day difference and I cannot express enough how I love the employees each and every nurse knows all about me they are so friendly and they’re there to help you too and get you through it. I got to give a shout out to Toya Mika Michelle Athena Felicia these are the nurses that you get your dose at the windows. I have to say every time I go in there they are always smiling and happy now how many places can you say is like that. I can go early in the morning or later on in the afternoon every single time for six years they have always been smiling and caring not once has anybody just filled up my bottles and not said nothing and mad. I definitely can’t leave this guy out Shaun Thompson I fell in love with my first counselor there, Miss Charon, and when I found out she was leaving I was truly sad. I really loved her a lot. I still do. I still tell her Merry Christmas and everything I got lucky though they gave me Shaun and my name is Shaun too so I guess that was a sign. He has truly got me through some tough times.I don’t understand why they don’t have five stars reviews, but it is impossible to satisfy everybody so I always look at it like that because they couldn’t be no kinder and helpful people than the people that work there. I went in for an induction to have my first baby and ended up staying for 4 days. Every nurse who took care of me was so kind, patient, and caring throughout my entire stay. They always made me feel comfortable and supported, even during the harder moments. My midwife was absolutely amazing as well. She was so sweet and took the time to explain everything that was happening and kept me informed every step of the way. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, especially being a first-time mom. I’m so grateful for everyone at UNC Health Wayne who helped make such an important and special moment in my life such a positive experience. I will always remember the kindness and care I received there. I highly recommend this hospital and the wonderful staff! And for last I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who signed on my congratulations card that was sent to me a couple days after getting discharged. He ended up staying the entire week of our vacation in the hospital with surgery on top of it. He was treated so incredibly well. All of the nurses and doctors were so kind and caring. Our vacation was a bust but I truly believe they saved my husband's life. We would have not gotten this level of care in St. Louis. Holly Bedsworth 1 month ago I was an overnight patient on August 20 for observation after a procedure. All employees I came into contact with were great. Including the security guard on the entry door. Attention to detail was obvious in every aspect of my stay. I was prossessed in smoothly. Care after my procedure was attentive. My stay on the second floor, room 239, continued to be top notch. One observation noted was an additional amount of interest and concern for sanitation and cleanliness. Ordering meals was greatly improved by quick delivery after placing the order. Also, if able, you are no longer required to wait on a wheelchair when departing. You can walk to the front door with a hospital staff member. A big deal for me! Thanks to each section who’s hospital staff served me and made an unpleasant situation enjoyable. Godspeed! PS: I noticed your Google ratings before contributing my review. There are lots of unhappy, disgruntled and angry people everywhere you go. But what I did like about Holly Hill Hospital is that they did not force as many injections for behavioral management, as many hospitals do. They gave us medication and therapy, which was received every day. I also like the fact that we are welcomed to read our Bibles and pray. For those who didn’t share those beliefs , they were allowed to participate in other activities. I learned to leave my insecurities right there. There is no room for low self-esteem or lack of self-confidence where we are headed . I left the hospital feeling ready to embrace a whole new life. For that, I am grateful. The program basically focuses on Addictive and criminal thinking patterns and the ones who give it a chance will get something out of it. Mr. Ray was my counselor and from day one was fair to all and a good , down to earth counselor.
