The people at the facility and the facility were excellent, but many changes to my benefits made it impossible to use the VA. For example, co-pays have gone up significantly. They are now far more than my Medicare Advantage plan. I live in Ohio, and the nation's second-leading hospital system, The Cleveland Clinic, is in my Advantage plan network. If I use the VA, only conditions, tests, etc., that can't be conducted by the VA would allow me to use the Cleveland Clinic. All this means, for me living in Ohio, the VA Hospital system is not a viable option. I would suggest visiting the VA where you live and making your own choice. I became so unattached, not allowing anyone close to me near or be in contact. After 2 solid years being wrongfully manipulated,set up, following all rules being promised protection told to rely on our police and the system and evey single one failed me caused me more mental and physical harm and influenced drastic changes to my character. Known in my home town as a huge influence with my practice Wooster hospital, College of Wooster, Saint Mary Immaculate Church and School all organizations The harm that was done ethically inappropriate to manipulation and influence of anyone important that affects safety, shelter, organizations not including Goodwill they are still in good standing that your truth your history wont matter. Wayne co almost killed me by allowing me to be harmed so severally for 2 years that finally hes prison uncovering the amount of trauma from cops, supervisors of establishments that when my legal team uncovered a ridiculous amount of calls into the poloce stations about ke screaming for help and the times i valled for help hours later they would come to tske a teport and basically put me down and accuse me of things i never have done. The treatment i received cauzed many to loose there jobs and showwd through video footage how I was at a shelter and a worker allowed my predator to force himself on me in the mens room just to name few what I have went through along with being set up so many times making me have a record I am thankful all will be removed by Feb 2027 Ruth from Wooster Ohio Anazoa never gave up on me no matter where I was or what i was going through. Her capabilities to navigate, be firm yet anle to handle how harsh and frantic I wasnt able to speak or react kind or even normal. I would have taken my life if it wasnt for her belief in me and how she was able to connect and get my attention to grow, heal, acknowledge and learn. I have never felt so helpless or worn out from Wayne Co trying to break me along with life at the hands of an ex that i wasnt aware of his past how extensive it was and his influence through drugs, stealing, known from his peers even influencing Wooster poloce and courts. I worked with them for 8 months. The staffs are very nice and polite. They always make sure parents understand everything and will always give us updates about everything. During the time I worked with them, I had no issues with contacting through email or phone calls. They are on top of everything and making sure that not just the kid understands but also making sure us family understands everything. I love how they work with families. It was a very nice moment. This facility is very structured for those who truly want to give up drugs and or alcohol, and deal with their mental health issues as well. The staff is very compassionate and very helpful to all their clients. The clients are assigned in facility chores such as cooking and cleaning, after being promoted up in the program, the clients are allowed to apply for a job within the programs vocational/employment department here you able to earn a income while continuing your treatment in order for you to have monies soon that you can obtain housing, transportation and anything else you may need upon completion on the program. There are three phases in the program, you start off as a phase 0 within a two week period and you have met all the program requirements such as (program group meetings which consist of 5 to 6 meetings M-F starting at 8:30 am with the last meeting at night at 8 pm, please understand that there are breaks as well as a lunch and dinner in between these meetings. Any yes, there are meetings on Saturday and Sunday as well, not as many as during the week). New Beginnings has three separate housing facilities; Withdraw Management Facility, this unit is designed to help prepare the clients in the first seven to eight days to withdraw from the illegal substances that may be in their system, get them on any medication that is needed for them; the other two facilities is one for men and the other for women. The women facility has the same substance abuse and mental health programs as the men's facility. One thing about all of the units, a client is not locked in, a client has a choice to either stay or leave the facility at any time. The decision to receive help for the addiction/mental health problems is totally up to the client. My hour long sessions go by so fast, it definitely doesn't feel like an hour. I got Lauren for my counselor and it feels like talking to a friend more than a counselor. I clicked with her instantly. If you want a real connection this is the place for you. I don't have any regrets. Not sure how anyone has had a bad experience. Other than I’ve had to switch to counselors a couple of times and that stinks cause it’s really hard for me to trust people and open up, I can not complain about my experience at BrightView. The help is absolutely there, but this is a place where you genuinely get out of it what you put into it. If you come in with a bad mindset or resistance, you’re probably going to have a rough time — but that’s true of recovery anywhere. Going in with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude makes a difference in every single aspect of the process here. What stood out most to me was the expert level of care combined with real kindness and humanity. The staff doesn’t just tell you what to do — they guide you, support you, and give you the tools to take control of your own recovery journey. You’re not treated like a number. The employees truly care, from the techs to the clinical staff, and it shows every day. The clinical team is exceptional, and my counselor Danielle quite literally was a lifesaver for me. Her support, honesty, and commitment to my growth helped me through moments when I didn’t think I could keep going. Having someone who genuinely listens and believes in you can change everything, and that’s what I experienced here. The environment itself is structured, safe, and supportive — and honestly, it’s better than jail by a long shot. Meals are decent and consistent, which matters more than people realize when you’re trying to rebuild your life. And Ashley’s waffles deserve their own recognition — easily the best breakfast in town and something I still talk about. This program gave me guidance, accountability, and hope, but it also taught me that recovery is self-driven. Arrow Passage provided the foundation, and I had to choose to build on it. Because of that combination — their guidance and my willingness — I can say that I owe my life to this program. As of today, I am 83 days clean, and I am living proof that this program works if you work it. I’m incredibly grateful for Arrow Passage Recovery and the people who made a real difference in my life.
