I have been to every rehab around Sandusky myself and have had loved ones go to RIO and I can honestly say this recovery center goes above and beyond for every single client. Every single staff member truly cares, they take the 12th step x45 every single day and don’t just clock in and out; they show up for you. Whether it’s staying late to talk, helping you with a towel or housing, or just making sure you have the support you need to stay on track, the techs, therapist, case managers, nurses even the directors they ALL will go to any length to help you stay sober and rebuild your life. The environment is safe, supportive, and full of hope. They treat you like a person, not a number, and they believe in you even when you don’t believe in yourself yet. Thanks to this program, I’ve built a strong foundation in recovery and learned tools that actually work in the real world! If you’re serious about getting clean and want a place that will walk beside you every step of the way, this is where you need to be. RIO genuinely saved my life. From the moment I got into contact with them, the genuine compassion and care they showed me was astounding. *Editing to add that I continued this care with Dr. Streeter, who is the best! I have been stable for 19 months and counting! Was having a mental health crisis due to PTSD. I am very thankful there is a psychiatric urgent care at the Ashland location. Dr. Snyder was amazing and so understanding. Very happy I can start on a road to getting through everything in a more stable way, just needed some help to get started! Would recommend if you have a long wait to get into a doctor for medication. They also set you up with a psychiatrist to manage the meds going forward if you dont already have one. So helpful. ♥️ really grateful this care exists.

Chris in the crisis support unit really went the extra mile to help me. She was on the phone, then came out and met me when I finally made the choice to come in, and gave me some comfort. She was very honest which I really found important, and I'm really glad that I came in. She celebrated the little victories while I had there, and was the one to see me out when I left. Everyone seemed really enjoyable in the CSU and support staff seemed lovely as well. I believe Sarah was the other person I met there, and I really enjoyed how she spoke on my level and it was very calm, and casual, and I liked how the professional getup was gone, it felt very personable and to me that was extremely valuable. The other places I've gone to have been alright, but I'm one of those people who value real person-to-person connection, and my short visit to the crisis unit really helped me out a lot.

Proven Treatments to Help. If you say it doesn’t help in any way, you’re lying and that’s between you and God! They serve all required meals plus more at times. Nice rooms. My experience is the patients treat the workers terribly sometimes. I don’t like that at all. Patient acts like they the president or the universe. Patients think workers should serve them like KIngs and queens. Most pay no money for services. Probably tax payers money, yikes. Stay Humble. God Bless.

Awesome place to go through recovery. In the 20 years I have been in recovery I have never experienced such a professional organized staff. They assist with medication, case work, are flexible with scheduling. They get you your meds right away at the facility and it's a great place to go to find the right path

The staff were very helpful, professional, and willing to meet clients where they’re at based on their own individual treatment needs. They were the only agency that I found in my area that believe in a dual diagnosis treatment model, which allows you to continue taking your mental health medications, while also getting help for SUD.

Honestly love this place! With the kindness and they respect they give you, it gives you hope for a better future.

Very Helpful And Understanding

Amazing place. Not only will I be an employee here in a week but I also am taking my CDCA class there in September and took the Fatherhood class last year. All for zero from my pocket and the people doing these classes really care. Very good vibe and atmosphere

BrightView really supported my son through a tough time. I liked that they involved me too, not just him. The staff explained things clearly, and they had plans in place for after treatment. I just wish follow-ups were a bit more consistent. Still, I felt God's hand moving in that place.

Midwest Detox Center and 30- day Resiential is the best place to come and do treatment at!!! The staff is amazing and work together as a TEAM. Client care is our number 1 focus. This is the best place to work at! Woo-hoo

Unison Health is amazing!! especially Ms Tequila Smith! shes passionate about helping people better theirselves and it shows in her work. she was able to help me with services in housing, dental, eye doctor, finding a physician, etc.. give that lady a pay raise!! seriously, if you need help finding any services, go to unison health the cherry street location, they'll help you out with everything you need.. its good to know some people actually care about helping people change their lives.

After experiencing an accident, I had to join a program while also managing communication with the court — a very stressful time in my life. Thankfully, my consultant Chyna was with me every step of the way. She went above and beyond, offering guidance, encouragement, and all the resources I needed. I also want to recognize Mrs. Gaston, whose warmth and kindness lifted me during one of my lowest moments. Her support made a huge difference, and I’ll never forget the role she played in helping me through. Wonderful staff. They really want to see you get better. Only downfall is that there are some patients that can be unruly or are just there to detox and not actually heal themselves. I still would recommend this treatment center to anyone going through addiction or mental health issues. Thank arrowhead for turning my life around.

Especially Kellie (Counselor), Devin (Counselor), Kody (Lead Group Facilitator) Gretchen (Counselor), Tevin (Counselor) Danae (alumni director), first shift nurses (Renee, Jenny, and others) Dr. Fabi, and plenty of techs too. Dave, Zada, Aaron, Cori, Jeremy, Carly, Skylar, and others. Last but not least Mike (program director), and Alaina (Clinical Director). These people truly care about you as a client and are there to help in any way even if it's just listen to you. I think it's a great facility if you're looking for help and to learn and work on yourself. The food is fire too 👍🏼👍🏼
