Overall, it’s a place that feels committed to helping people rebuild their lives in a steady, realistic way through a blend of privileges and accountability. Only negative I would add is that rules can be inconsistent and seem to appear on a daily basis, Other than that I loved RIO.

I sent my client here as a PRS. She has been safe, well managed ( for detox ) and have gone above & beyond! We were 3 hours away & a Uber was there within 20 minutes of us calling for her admission! Very helpful in many areas concerning mental health. Having an outside ear to bend is at times easier than talking to someone in your circle. Have learned to deal with my Anxiety, PTSD, and associative disorder. Some things that those close to me just really couldn’t understand. Have been to some of the group sessions and those have been very helpful on many levels. I have recommended this place to others. I don’t know if any of them have taken that first step or not.

I had a small (HUGE) problem with Bayshore a few years back that even resulted in policy change but since then with staffing upgrades the place is awesome. My therapist Chelsea is hands down the best in the industry. I've been in therapy for over 30 years and never made the personal growth I have experienced with my team at Bayshore. They. Eat the other local option, Firelands, alive. I would have given 5 stars but I hold resentments for my incident there, but I'll add that to the list of things I need to work on.

*Editing to add that I continued this care with Dr. Streeter, who is the best! I have been stable for 19 months and counting! Was having a mental health crisis due to PTSD. I am very thankful there is a psychiatric urgent care at the Ashland location. Dr. Snyder was amazing and so understanding. Very happy I can start on a road to getting through everything in a more stable way, just needed some help to get started! Would recommend if you have a long wait to get into a doctor for medication. They also set you up with a psychiatrist to manage the meds going forward if you dont already have one. So helpful. ♥️ really grateful this care exists.

Chris in the crisis support unit really went the extra mile to help me. She was on the phone, then came out and met me when I finally made the choice to come in, and gave me some comfort. She was very honest which I really found important, and I'm really glad that I came in. She celebrated the little victories while I had there, and was the one to see me out when I left. Everyone seemed really enjoyable in the CSU and support staff seemed lovely as well. I believe Sarah was the other person I met there, and I really enjoyed how she spoke on my level and it was very calm, and casual, and I liked how the professional getup was gone, it felt very personable and to me that was extremely valuable. The other places I've gone to have been alright, but I'm one of those people who value real person-to-person connection, and my short visit to the crisis unit really helped me out a lot.

After experiencing an accident, I had to join a program while also managing communication with the court — a very stressful time in my life. Thankfully, my consultant Chyna was with me every step of the way. She went above and beyond, offering guidance, encouragement, and all the resources I needed. I also want to recognize Mrs. Gaston, whose warmth and kindness lifted me during one of my lowest moments. From the staff at every level, the physician, the nurses, the technical staff, the recreational therapists, the chefs, the office personel, the cleaning and house keeping staff, I won't mention names on the internet but you know exactly who you are. This place is complete. You're treated with what I consider the three C's of any people centered service facility. Care, Compassion, and Concern. It's all genuine. If you are at a low point and need a pick-me-up, if you are seeking to have an entire crew treat and meet you exactly where you are, if you need a stress free environment or 1 on 1 attention with spirited individuals who truly have an unbelievable passion and patience and grace for what they do, look no further. This isn't where dreams are necessarily made, but they are most certainly realized. You have to take care of you and be right with yourself before you can take care of anybody else. I wish I could be a part of this team but they are a select cohesive group with a gifted calling. Don't be ashamed. Don't be afraid. Mental health and substance abuse are real things. Take the time and invest in yourself and you'll get it back ten fold with this crew. Fall down seven times, stand up eight 💪🏼 🙌 👏 ❤️

Findlay Recovery Center is truly life-changing. The facility is clean, welcoming, and filled with people who genuinely care. My case manager Kalee was my light during one of the darkest times in my life — always bright, encouraging, and reminding me there was hope when I couldn’t see it. My therapist Megan always knew just what to say and never made me feel like a burden. She helped me start to appreciate myself again. Kody made learning both fun and informative (we both have lots of useless knowledge bouncing around in our heads, and somehow it worked!). Devon made sure everyone felt seen, validated, and—let’s be honest—kept us from getting too squirrely! Vickey, my favorite driver and tech, was the first to rescue me from the darkness and help me find my light. Always smiling, always uplifting. And thank you to Mike, who runs this incredible place—you can tell he takes pride in it because the staff are happy and it shows. Oh, and Elliott—never a dull moment (in the best way)! The Brownies were amazing, and so was everything else. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares, this is it.
