I came in through the ER with severe abdominal pain and ended up staying two days for an emergency appendectomy. Despite the illness, it was an incredibly positive experience. Dr. Michael Tornwall, the surgeon that performed my surgery, was calm, confident, and genuinely invested in my outcome from surgery through follow-up. My inpatient nurses Zakaria and Jen were superstars — attentive, warm, and caring to the point that it felt like family. But they weren’t outliers. Without exception, every person I encountered — dietitian, phlebotomist, radiology, surgical team, the rest of the nursing staff, recovery team, cleaning staff — all were kind and professional. Not one weak link. My room was spotless, quiet, and private. The cleanliness throughout was exceptional. My care was outstanding and I couldn't have asked for better treatment. We should all feel lucky to have such a great asset right here in our hometown.

I am a 68 year old man who wendsday had outpatient surgery and could not of felt in better hands anywhere in the country when it came time for surgery went thru the doors doctor and all crew made me feel comfortable through the whole procedure and am getting major relieve for pain in my foot i've had several surgery's on this seams much more successful then my other surgery's done at other hospitals

The doctors are so sweet. But the front office staff could use some customer service skills training. My daughters school therapist whom is for Logan Hocking middle school found a suicide note in her book bag. That therapist told us to come to this location and get her seen immediately. Instead of the office staff doing so. They sent us on what would be a 4 hour journey to Athens then the plains Hopewell health centers. Then it was their lunch break in the plains and we had to wait an hour until they would talk to me. Not even my daughter. I believe the ball was dropped for her. She was in a crisis and cause of the front office staff she is just now being seen today for her first appointment a MONTH later. She is 12 and her wanting to kill herself required immediate attention and they failed at getting her that help that she desperately needed. That day to say I was Angry was an understatment.

I would like to say that I enjoyed my stay here. All of the staff were amazing. When you ask them to do something for you, they get right on it. They didn’t give me any lip about it, they just did it. Everyone plays their role very well. I didn’t think that I’d have fun at a rehab but I did. The staff is so down to earth and very personable. Special shout out to Marti, Tarynn, Sharon and all of the bht staff. I would have given 5 stars but, yall have to work on the food quality and the facility being a bit more cleaner; like the carpets and the kitchen.

Hope Valley is a breath of fresh air. They really care about you. In my experience I had a death in my family and they helped me through the whole process. I was able to show up for my family sober and have a safe place to go after. Normally that would take you out of treatment but not here. The mens phase 2 building is awesome. Thank you. Jen, Cheyenne, Kasey, Corey, Jeff, Otis, Liz, Kim, Jacob, Kyle, Natalie and the countless other staff. Thank God for this program.

A Veteran, I was rushed there via ambulance with acute psychiatric symptoms. In six days I was stable and discharged, as well as transported free, close to 100 miles from where I came from, which is the Herschel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Another fine VA Hospital. However, they lack acute psychiatric care units like the one at the Chillicothe VA. Very kind, caring, and efficient staff. The Mental Health Treatment Team at Chillicothe, sent a consult/referral for residential treatment. I am reporting to the Wade Park Domiciliary, Monday morning at 9am. The VA takes good care of their Veterans.

Staff is professional and takes time to know the patient and always makes sure you are always doing your best. They work with you and never show judgement. Amazing service. Great staff. Just yesterday I had an appointment at this clinic. Afterwards I went to Rural king and dropped a salt lick block on my toe. Worried that it might be broken, I returned to the clinic. As a walk in, I asked the clerk if they do X-rays and explained my situation. She said take a sit, they'll be right with you. Not 10 minutes later, I had my X-ray taken and I was out the door heading home. I am very blessed to have access to this clinic. They do great work and I would recommend this clinic to any veteran in the area.

It is what it is, a methadone clinic. If you want to get sober it will work for you. If you don't want to get sober and want to play with methadone, we'll you'll get what's coming to you. All places have good and bad people but this program will work if you work it.

I have a friend who is helped by this facility. They are WONDERFUL about taking your calls and addressing immediate problems. Other places in Charleston (a particular doctor who has since retired) never helped them like this place does. Erin Neff in particular is wonderful and does a beautiful job!

Hello I was a patient from 9-23-26 until 9-24-26 and I was housed embedded in 4/West 17 room. And I've got to say first and foremost above and beyond this is the best hospital that I had surgery and after care in and let me tell you it was five star care five star Grace five star respect and even the food was the best that I've had out of any hospital I stayed in. To the Doctor, the care team and any and all those involved thank you very much I am very grateful to have been placed in your hands of care in which I was able to let my guard down and trust. I spent 4 days at ARMC and had the best treatment. Everyone on floor 3B was absolutely fantastic! The nurses and PCAs were all very kind were able to provide me with whatever I needed. This was my first stay at this hospital and it couldn't have been better. The food was also delicious and the variety that they have is amazing. Thank you to everyone on 3B! I can't remember everyone's name but they are very special.
