Hello, my name is Jay/James Parks, I was a patient at this mental health facility 2 times, one for 4 months, and one for 3 weeks. The entire time I was there I was treated greatly, and was allowed to do most things the other reviews are saying they couldn’t. The staff were especially nice, and would only want the best for you. The food was also great, having what tasted like a 5- star meal served every day, and me having a family who has experience with most mental facility’s in Oklahoma, this one surpasses the rest. And people forget that if they/their kid does not find something fair, the grievance forms ARE something they look at. Overall, deserves a 5 star review.

I went here in January-Febuary, they really helped me talk through some of my toughest times, now I'm able to express my feelings and talk to my parents better. I have truly improved and I miss the staff because they were very nice, and really supportive. I miss the people I met and I hope they're doing well, I loved my therapist and she really helped me be able to express myself and feel better. I still have tough times but with the time I spent there, I've learned good skills and I'm able to work through them without falling back into the terrible places I've been before. I truly appreciate everything they did for me and I highly recommend them.

I am a 11 year old boy who went to meadow lake twice, each time it got better. My first time was 4 months - second was 3 weeks. They really cared about my health and well-being. My favorite staff was really nice and since I was there on Christmas, we had a really great time. Please take my review and let it change your mind

It’s never easy to make the decision to send your child to long term inpatient care. I have a daughter here now and I love this program. The staff cares. The girls get the help they need. They have strict rules and boundaries, but they also get understanding, good therapy, etc. I would recommend.

If you are a parent or guardian seeking help for a troubled child, then you already know it is one of the most difficult situations you will encounter. As parents, we often question ourselves, wondering what we could have done different. Put those thoughts aside. Remember–you are only human. You love your child. You have done all you can. If a parent’s love could heal your child, she would already be well. I know you are exhausted, frustrated, devastated. Take a deep breath and know… There is healing available for your daughter and family. My daughter was admitted to White Horse Ranch in early 2021. She graduated the program after five months of intensive therapy. The change in my daughter was nothing less of phenomenal. I’m not a believer, but I will often describe the staff at WHR as miracle workers. As a parent, I participated in weekly family therapy with my daughter. Not only did I receive regular updates on my daughter’s progress, but a staff person was always available to speak with me–24 hours a day. I could call at anytime to check on my daughter. I’m a single mom and have a tight budget. My insurance covered a great portion of the expenses, but not all. However, WHR worked with me, allowing me to set up a payment plan so that my daughter got all the care she needed. Were there bumps in the road? Of course. After all, WHR is a residential treatment center for teen girls. Therapy is grueling work for anyone, and especially for children. Ups and downs are to be expected. I know my daughter had her share. But… I knew she was in capable hands and that her safety and the safety of all the girls would be guarded and maintained. In a world of instability, WHR maintains a strict, predictable schedule, which is a crucial part of the therapy. The girls learn how to be responsible to themselves and those around them. They learn to keep themselves and their living spaces clean and organized. They learn to organize their activities to make the most of their time. Most importantly, they learn that their choices and actions have consequences for better or for worse. That concept alone is crucial to future success. They also incorporate holiday and birthday celebrations into the schedule which my daughter really enjoyed. And the horses… the equine therapy was an incredible experience for my daughter. She learned to trust and be trusted. She took on the responsibility of caring for the needs of another living being and the rewards of that dynamic have been ongoing. A word about the Christian environment… Yes, the environment includes an element of Christianity, mostly in the form of Christian love. But what is that? Doing unto others as you would have done unto you. That’s a Universal law that most people on earth follow. If someone has an issue with that, I don’t know what to tell them. That said, for those who are Christian, there are services offered every Sunday. However, I am a staunch atheist, so I was a bit worried about indoctrination of my child; however, the staff at WHR was respectful and accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. With all that said, I highly recommend WHR to any parent or guardian struggling with their daughter’s behavioral and mental health issues. And remember, there is healing available for your daughter and family.

I've had an excellent time with them. They have all new staff working here, even the med doctor has changed. There's a TV, soda machine and extra waiting room available. Darla, the therapist is such a knowledgeable and helpful lady. Talking to her is like talking to a friend and she has some amazing coping skills. Tracy, the secretary also makes the wait for comfortable by letting me sit in a backroom away from loud noises and people. The facility also offers drug court and rehab for those that need it. The place is clean, staff is friendly.

Valley Hope is amazing! Every person is very caring and make you feel like you can do this. The quality of care, facility, recovery program team are exceptional. They also have aftercare so when you get out you have great options for continued care. They check on you periodically to make sure you are okay. I honestly have so much to say. I was admitted in August and was there for a month. The staff were amazing but it is true that they picked favorites. Obviously it’s a mental hospital so it’s not going to be perfect because everyone in there wants to hurt themselves or someone else. I didn’t necessarily like that we had the same group lessons every week but it was always very interactive. The group that I was in there with got pretty close and I think that’s maybe why we had so many problems. I will say that my therapist was absolutely terrible. She was fired on my last day which pushed back my discharge date. She connected with me but omg she could not grow a pair to my parents at all. She was very unprofessional and honestly gave up on our sessions. It was very rare that she’d actually come get me for therapy and when she did it was VERY brief. Also while I was in there.. I watched a very young girl being hurt multiple times. She had no business being in our unit with the older kids and the issues that they have. I stuck up for her multiple times and tried to make everyone understand but her being there was completely unsafe. She was too young to be in there with us and I think the hospital is responsible for her behavior and how she was treated. Other than that, I got along great with the staff and never had any problems. I’ve heard horror stories about other facilities and I’d much rather going to Integris than anywhere else.

This review is for the adult unit. My stay here was an overwhelmingly positive experience. I was treated respectfully by staff the whole time, and came away with useful, practical tools to improve my mental health going forward. A few of the staff are absolutely exceptional and it's clear they were put on earth to do this job- Mr. Tracy, Ms. Melissa, Mr. Dan, and Ms. Dee Dee included. I received just as much help from the other patients as well, many of whom were caring and empathetic. It will be a great source of comfort in the future to know that this place is available should I ever need help again, I would not hesitate to go back. With that being said, your stay is absolutely what you make of it- to be truly successful you need to be proactive and actively participate in your own recovery.

went here in the summer time and my expeirence was okay some of the staff were unbareable to be around with because they made us seem like we are “too sensitive” but other than that most staff would listen to me and made me feel understood

This program played a critical role in supporting my sobriety. I began my recovery journey in the inpatient program at Valley Hope, and after completing that phase, I transitioned directly into their outpatient services in Oklahoma City. The outpatient program offers two formats—online and in-person—and I chose the in-person option because of the structure and connection it provides. Throughout my participation, I developed meaningful relationships with fellow patients and benefited greatly from individualized counseling sessions. These one-on-one meetings were especially impactful, offering personalized guidance, accountability, and a safe space to process challenges. The group environment also fosters peer support, encourages personal responsibility, and helps individuals stay focused on their recovery goals. I genuinely believe that the outpatient program was essential to maintaining my sobriety. The support, education, and community it provides make a significant difference, and I cannot overstate how valuable the experience has been. For anyone struggling with substance use, I strongly recommend considering this program as a resource for long-term recovery.

Thanks to this place I’ve been sober for almost 5 years straight! I got my dream job working as a veterinarian assistant and have a wonderful relationship with all my kids. Highly recommend New Vision Counseling! Joshua Rhoades was awesome. He listened and provided solid feedback. Though we went for couples therapy, he also did individual sessions which were instrumental to improving our relationship as it unearthed the root of significant issues. We especially appreciated having light homework as it kept us engaged in the days between sessions and allowed us to have physical documents to show the commitments we made.

This has been the absolute best therapy I have ever experienced. Josh has been along with me throughout my ups and downs. I’ve been through therapy my entire life and have been abandoned from other therapist. He has never abandoned me and has always been there for me when I needed him.
