8.43 / 10 | Peaks Recovery Centers is a Joint Commission accredited drug and alcohol rehab located on 11 acres of land in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with breathtaking scenery. Here at this rehab, they offer treatment to adults who are struggling with co-occurring and substance abuse disorders. Levels of care include medical detox, residential, partial hospita | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Peaks Recovery Center has truly been a life-changing experience for me.
Coming into Peaks, I knew I needed a change, but I didn’t fully understand how much this place and the people here would impact my life. The staff genuinely care about the people they work with, and they create an environment where you can actually focus on getting better, figuring yourself out, and building a better life.
What really stood out to me was the sense of community. You aren't treated like just another person going through a program. You build real connections with the other guys, share experiences, laugh together, struggle together, and encourage each other to keep moving forward. Those relationships became a huge part of my recovery.
The staff have been supportive, patient, and willing to meet me where I was at. They helped me look at things differently and gave me tools that I can take with me long after leaving Peaks.
I'm leaving with a completely different mindset than I had when I walked through the doors. I know recovery is something I have to continue working on every day, but Peaks gave me a foundation, the tools, and the confidence to keep doing it.
I'm extremely grateful for the experience, the staff, and especially the people I met along the way. If you're considering Peaks Recovery Center, I honestly can't recommend it enough.
5 stars all day. Thank you, Peaks, for helping me become a better version of myself.

Peaks will forever hold a place in my heart.
If you are looking for help with depression, addiction, alcoholism, trauma, anxiety, body image issues… you name it. This is the place that will not only help you, they will LOVE you through it!
From the moment I called, I felt loved and cared for. Angela - You are an Angel! Angela kept in contact with me several times a day until I was on a plane to CO. As soon as I got there, Katie picked me up from the airport, she was a doll! She made me feel so comfortable going in. I met with a few staff members, and stayed in “detox” for 2 days.
When I first got to the Women’s house, I met Miss. Pat - She’s the most incredible woman I’ve ever met. I’ll never forget her. EVER.
I went in for Trauma and Depression. Within 7-10 days, I could tell my life was changing. I had never felt this good in my life.
Chris, Bobbie, and his team hired a staff that is like nothing I would have ever imagined. From the Director (Sara), Doctors, Therapists/Counselors (Kate, Madi, Shayna, Sam), PA’s (Alyson), Gym Instructors (Nicole and Dan), my caseworker, Tyler, the chef, Taylor, and the staff (Miss. Pat, Cassie, Leah, Kayla, Mariano, Julie, and Cheyanne), - They are all AMAZING! Everyone has a heart of gold!
Each week in group they discuss a topic. The topics discussed are LIFE CHANGING! There are things in life that you think you know, you don’t. I learned so much in group and I’ll hold onto that info for life.
I also met with my Therapist/Counselor Kate, 2-3x a week. Kate is part of the reason I am who I am today. ❤️
I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you are looking for a place that will truly save your life, Peaks is where you want to go. I promise you. ❤️
Love, hugs, & Prayers for anyone taking the time to read this.
I believe in you! Make the call! Much love!❤️
*****Edit - In the last 3 years I’ve had a few people reach out to me and ask questions. If you are struggling on making a decision and want to speak with someone, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via facebook messenger. I would love to help you in your journey to getting better. ❤️*****

With a small number of patients, it really is such a close knit group. It feels safe to be here and be around such kind welcoming people. I didn’t feel judged once for anything I was struggling with. The therapists, techs, and nurses are all great and very willing to provide support. I had a really great experience with David, his demeanor and the perspectives he brought to the group and to individual sessions was amazing. Sarah, Jill, and Andy are also amazing and I really enjoyed the time they spend with us. The nurses are all amazing but I felt especially comforted by Theresa, Staci, and Evan. The techs, especially Tyler, and the psychiatrists are incredible and they really made me feel like this was a safe space to get stable. I have celiac and the kitchen staff went out of their way to make sure I had something to eat at every meal and even ran out to get snacks for me! I want to mention everyone by name but that would make it a bit too long. I highly recommend this place and would suggest any of my loved ones came here for a peaceful and nonjudgmental place to heal with a group of people who understand your struggles. Thank you Sandstone Detox!

Sandstone Care took my Sister in with open arms of kindness, grace and gave her a sense of peace she hasn't had in a very long time. The care she received will reveal itself in time. She did a 21 day detox and has proclaimed to never go back to bondage again! My prayers are that the Lord keeps her close to Him and that her words manifest. As someone who worked alongside the Crisis Response Team with the police department, I can personally say that Diversus Health Lighthouse Walk-in Crisis Center has been an incredibly important resource in our community. Many times, we brought individuals here who were experiencing severe mental health crises, suicidal thoughts, emotional trauma, or situations where they simply did not know where else to turn. The staff consistently welcomed people with compassion, dignity, patience, and professionalism while helping guide them toward a safer and more stable place both mentally and physically.
Mental health crises can feel terrifying and isolating, and sometimes people truly feel like they are at the end of their rope. This is one of the organizations in our community that people can turn to for real help and support. They have dedicated professionals who genuinely care about helping individuals and families navigate crisis situations safely.
I also appreciate that they offer walk-in options and work to help people navigate payment concerns and accommodations when finances are a barrier. Please do not let fear, stigma, or money stop you from reaching out for help if you need it.
Thank you to the professionals here for the difficult and meaningful work you do for our community every single day.

There are moments in life when you feel completely lost, broken, and unsure if things will ever get better. When I came to this recovery center, I was at one of those moments. I was struggling not only with addiction but also with finding hope for my future. Looking back now, I can honestly say that this program changed—and quite possibly saved—my life.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) gave me much more than treatment. It gave me the tools to understand myself, heal from my past, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. The counselors and staff genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as a client. They challenged me when I needed it, supported me when I felt weak, and never gave up on me, even when I struggled to believe in myself.
What made this program so special was the sense of community and connection. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel alone. I was surrounded by people who understood what I was going through and who encouraged me every step of the way. Through group sessions, counseling, and the support of the staff, I learned that recovery is possible and that I deserved a better life.
Today, I am stronger, healthier, and more hopeful than I ever thought I could be. The lessons I learned in this program continue to guide me every day. The impact this recovery center has had on my life and my family is impossible to put into words.
To anyone considering treatment, know that asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do. This recovery center gave me a second chance at life, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

This recovery center truly changed my life. When I first walked through the doors, I was struggling, overwhelmed, and unsure if recovery was even possible for me. From day one, the staff treated me with respect, compassion, and genuine care. They didn’t just help me get sober—they helped me rebuild my confidence, learn healthy coping skills, and believe in myself again.
The counselors, support staff, and peers created an environment where I felt safe, understood, and supported throughout my recovery journey. Their dedication and commitment to helping people heal is something I’ll never forget.
Because of this program, I have a new outlook on life and a foundation for lasting recovery. I am grateful for the tools, encouragement, and support I received here. If you’re struggling with addiction and looking for a place that truly cares about your success, I cannot recommend this recovery center enough.
Thank you for helping me find hope, purpose, and a second chance at life.

I came in needing medical forms completed by Dr Bissel and what should have been a fairly simple interaction felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and disrespectful. Scott the medical admin was not helpful either, he just brushed me away. Their behavior and communication style made me feel like it was an inconvenience to help me. I was later offered support and we discussed the interaction. Dr Bissel heard me out and helped me. It felt good to have the opportunity to discuss what happened and be heard. The entire staff of A New Hope Counseling is beyond professional and really treats you like family. They truly do care about your health (mentally and physically) but care even more about your sobriety afterwards. With multiple options and flexible times to come back whether it be for serious help, someone to talk to, or just to pop in and say hi because sometimes that is all you need. They all have been quite literally lifesavers for myself and I know many others feel the same. I don't normally play favorites but Reena is the kindest most caring person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting with. Without her and her staff I have no clue where I would be nowadays. I would highly recommend A New Hope Counseling to anyone looking for support with maintaining their sobriety or looking for positive outcome with anything that is court ordered. There are some great programs out there, but none quite like insight. If you are looking to be seen for who you are, and not just for your insurance, insight recovery is the place for you. Their client-centered mindset garuntees you won’t slip through the cracks and get lost in the grey.
These people will fight for you. They’ll advocate for you. They’ll pick you up and give you the tools to fly. They’re still here for you even when they’re off the clock. I’ve seen them go to great lengths to support so many individuals recoveries.
Also they make recovery fun! They give you new ways to think about yourself and the world. As clients, we all become one big family. At the start of your first day, you’ll enter the doors on your own. When you leave, you’ll be leaving as part of a community.
Also they have good snacks and they feed you an awesome lunch.

These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Colorado Springs. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance.
