Serenity mountain changed my life! Between the caring house staff, knowledgeable clinical team and great activities, this is a great place to grow, learn and recover. While I was there, I was able to learn so much, about myself, my disease, and God. We had opportunities to go to off campus activities including drum aerobics, enerchi, yoga, church and even special things like concerts, ice cream runs, local NA/AA meetings and women’s retreats! The councilors genuinely care and want the best for each and every one of the girls on the mountain, and the house staff does everything they can to keep us safe, healthy, and happy throughout our time there. Sandy and Joe genuinely do their best to help each individual woman and truly care about recovery. The food is much better than most rehabs, and the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. There is even two house dogs, Chloe and poppi, who make adjusting to the mountain much easier and provide great emotional support when needed! Overall, I highly recommend serenity mountain if addiction is something you struggle with, the road to recovery isn’t always easy, but the mountain is a great stopping point along the journey!

This facility specifically has meant so much to me, my family, and my sobriety thus far. There is so much power in a place where sobriety can be found not only amongst the clients, but also the staff. Whether it's your first, or your 21st rehab, this is a place where you can find the knowledge and support to succeed. Of course, having amazing meals, clinical support, and in-depth groups only makes the experience that much better. I felt safe to open up and know my struggles would be met with intentionality and care. If you are debating which rehab is for you, I highly recommend starting here. Even living 4.5hrs away didn't stop Clearbrook from driving to get me and sharing their expertise and care. Take the step and see how these amazing people can change your life. You won't regret it.

Clearbrook is a wonderful facility! Unbelievably clean, the housekeeping staff is amazing, the food is better than some NYC restaurants I've eaten in and the nursing staff is professional, always attentive and fun! Relaxing atmosphere. Located in Barryville, New York, you’ll find the charming New Hope Manor. I just finished 7 months at New Hope Manor and I’m so happy! I am a new person, no longer committing murder to myself via alcohol, opioids and cigarettes. The Angelic guidance of my counselor Amanda who always had the utmost patience and care for me has helped set me free of the self destructive, depressing life I had before I was blessed enough to find New Hope. Amanda gently guided me into having a life I never thought I could achieve. Also Anand, my therapist, helped me so much it’s unreal. He had a way of showing me how to show myself why I self sabotaged and how to fix me. He is an amazing man so gentle , soulful, intuitive, positive and encouraging. Both he and Amanda showed me how and why to forgive myself and how to stop living in shame. I never felt so cared for and understood by anybody like I did from the whole gifted staff at New Hope. Not just for me but for all the other clients living there as well. It amazed me to witness the patience and understanding which was shown even to the most difficult client. The groups (classes) were so well thought out to help bring about a transformation worthy of the hard work they asked. I loved learning all about life, and addiction (it’s never to late) and why and how a sober and peaceful life was mine if I wanted it badly enough. I could never ever thank the amazing staff at New Hope for my New life. Everyone on the staff; whether they were personally assigned to me or not was always there for us which meant so much to me which I’m sure they didn’t realize how much it meant. Even Joe who ran the kitchen showed so much love preparing our meals. The 3 meals a day plus snacks was above and beyond what you’d expect. Just saying, delicious! Joe is an amazing man. I am so grateful for getting to know him and learn why he understood all of us and why he cared so much. I can go on and on with praise for New Hope. I’m not saying they are perfect. Who is? However I can say they do listen to the women there. I figured out early on that when I didn’t agree with their methods there was a good reason for those methods. I know God bought me to New Hope. I was never in rehab before and had no idea what to expect. I did know I couldn’t go on self murdering myself the way I was. I do know I never expected to heal the way I did. I also know I will continue to work on my sobriety outside NH and I know they are with me for the rest of my life. ❤️

I was at New Hope Manor in 2009 and if you had asked me back then I probably would have sounded like some of these reviews, lol. The truth is those mean nuns dedicated their entire life to helping us get sober, and helping us keep our kids and I am eternally grateful for the lessons I learned there. I’m still in touch with some of my new hope sisters and we all agree we would go back in a heart beat. Back then I felt cheated at the holidays, now I realize they taught us what the holidays were really about, I could go on and on. Great program, life saving, for real!

ACBC helps if you let it. They have excellent counselors and peer advocates. The morning breakfast is awesome too 🤪. But don't go just for the free food. If you're an addict like me who wants and needs help, go. If you're "forced" to go because of parole or probation make the best of it, you may learn something. But don't be disrespectful to the ones who actually take it seriously.

I have been a client of this facility since October 2021 when I came home from inpatient. Pyramid is the foundation to my recovery... I have never felt like I had to stop coming just because I "completed" a program. I actively attend weekly group sessions and biweekly individual sessions with my counselor Jim. He has been a huge advocate for me since taking over my case a year ago. He is honest and patient with me and makes me feel heard. I have been on MAT throughout the entire time and even though it didn't always go my way, they supported me through it all. Dr. Malcuhay has been seeing me for years and makes me feel like she genuinely cares for my well-being. Sacha from Allentown is one of the nurses that has shown me compassion and held me accountable when I was extremely late for an appointment. Alyssa the nurse is prompt and professional, and it's refreshing to actually receive responses to my emails. Kate, Katie, Gage, Towanna have all been wonderful and I look forward to seeing them all. If your insurance is up to date and paid, you will have no issues here. Thank you for helping me find myself again!

There's is no way this place is not 5 star. I am 50 and have lived around the country and never ever received 5 star care from therapy to the case management to the out patient psych clinic. I can tell u first hand from the fiscal department all the way to the top director this place cares about one thing it's clients they do not put money or time over people. This is the only place I've gotten any results since I was 5. If your having a bad comment then u just don't know this place or didn't do your part. It's a two way street they can only offer and give u suggestions and support and stand with u through rough times and I'm alive today because childrens service center didn't give up in me. I am building healthy relationships with my children, my self esteem went from lower then dirt in the carpet to sky high. My drug dependency is at a zero I am sober . My health is at all all time high. I have never had so many people working for myself and at least o0 others I know the way this place does. If u haven't done your part or don't like something u dint have to run and leave a bad comment or stop going they are open and willing to guide u help u stand by u so please it hurts to see this isn't 5 star and I'm putting on the people leaving the reviews I've been going here a long time and do various different programs they have and my life just keeps getting better. Thank u to everyone from every secretary to the rehab to case management for all of your hard work and dedication to all of your clients equally .

Some ways of communication are outdated like not being able to leave direct voicemails with people, only leaving with office afaik. But they were great help in applying for Medicaid and counseling services. Getting appointment is difficult due to the demand for the current counselors , which is very unfortunate but understandable. Feels like a safe place to be in. I wish that we could communicate with counselors over other means than email

Dr Nicki Maxwell took care of my husband this past Sunday at garnet hospital in Harris , NY with a life threatening injury. She and a team of 3 other associates continually worked onhim for more than 2 hours until he was no longer in imminent danger. Her skills, confidence and bedside manner not only saved him, but gave the family the reassurance that if she was at any time out of her comfort zone, she would send him to a trauma center. I've had I think 2 or 3 therapists there, I personally didn't feel comfortable talking to the first one but the one I have now is amazing 💗 also from what I heard, one of the teachers at the "school" my cousin went to when they were there Emotionally abused my cousin (who has autism and multiple other things.) Called him names, called out my cousin in front of the whole class to exclude and embarrassed him. From what my cousin said, the kids were very rude and got in alot of fights and the staff just sat around. Also the teacher was fired from what the staff was "aloud" to tell us

No one chooses to come to this place over another place, but here’s a review: The staff had no idea who I was when I got there. Of course, neither did I. They treated me like I was some guy off the street, and based their opinion of me on how I was acting, which, at the time, was terrible. Over time, I chilled out, and got to know some of the staff, and found at least one of them to be a decent human being. I never really got tight with any of the patients except one guy I got in a fight with and now we’re pretty good. It’s pretty much what you make of it, if you are expecting to be ‘healed’ you are probably going to be disappointed. If you are willing to look at what brought you there, if you are ready to accept some kind of responsibility for your share in it, you might find that GBHC can provide some time to try and address whatever it was that got you locked up in the first place. If you think the doctors and nurses are going to provide you with answers for life’s persistent questions, you can always keep looking. Food is alright, but could be a lot better.
