Came off 170 mgs of methadone without any major problems. I slept, ate, and was overall content. Nursing and tech staff made the stay what it should be. I’m not really a taker but sometimes a smile from a random staff would get me out of the funk. They reduced my methadone 10mg a day from 170 until 20mg. I thought I would feel awful at 20 but the only problem I had was high blood pressure and sweating. All symptoms I could deal with. It’s detox! You’re not going to like everything about it!
Atlanta, Mark, Christine, Joe, JAMIE! No techs or nurses ever made me feel like I was a bother. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get off a substance. Especially methadone, in I feel 1000 times better without that crap in my body. I live in NJ, only one place would take my ins. The rest would only detox from methadone of a 30-40mg dose. Sunrise did not rush me and kept their word I wouldn’t receive surprise bills. They even didn’t bill me for things they should have. Shortly before I went there I was on a ventilator. I am Doing the work but this place helped get me across the line. If you complain here it’s your addiction talking. Has your addiction ever been correct with advice? Great place!

I tried about 7 times 2 come off of pain meds due to numerous surgeries since 1999 I was on 30 mg oxycodone which was the strongest you could get ! I was prescribed 12 a day!finally after being sick and tired of being sick and tired after my family being disgusted with me after being sick of being broke and everything that comes along with addiction which nothing good comes with addiction! I was on that medication from 1999 up until four years ago September 3rd of this year made 4 years clean!!! You have to be ready to quit and get clean for yourself so you need to put yourself above all Else for you and your own health once you're done with that then you work on repairing your relationships with your family and the people you hurt when you were using! So the final time that I went to norcap Lodge I got clean finally the dark cloud that constantly follows me around everyday was gone my life isn't perfect but I killed the addiction and I did it @Norcap for me & my little girl!

Before this program, I was a broken, shell of a person. Five months later, I’ve got relationships with friends and family back. I have ambition, purpose, and I’m hopeful for the future. Between all of the therapists & case managers like Bri and JP, the staff at Ocean State actually cares. In comparison, no other program even comes close. Went here a few years back. During Covid, wild crowd, the intensity of the whole world to me was making me sick.
This was one of the greatest things to ever happen to me.
It is almost 5 years later and North Cottage stays with my soul everywhere I go. I love you guys so damn much

Hello I'm Katalina I'm a 14 year old girl who has struggled with alot I have attended Butler 7 times you may find a lot of 1 or 2 star reviews as a person who has gone 7 times during strike and before and after the strike it all depends on the group of kids I have been there with really bad kids who has had fights and more they do tend to try and get your kids needs while they are in the rooms during that emergency and when there's good groups it calming your kids will have 2 work times where they just do a small packet to help with understanding CBT DBT and coping skills along with others they would get 3 meals 2 free times 2 visit times you can have strings and walks along with others small basketball court. This is the place if you’re really struggling and need some outside help. The rules are pretty simple. However my big Downside is this is a for profit company. For the 80 or so they get from each patient it should be invested into quality case workers. I’m not saying they are all bad but I’ve been here for about 5 or so years, and I’ve just been given my 7th case worker granted only 5 we’re supposed to be permanent. The case worker I just finally got Is the only one you’ve hired that has personal experience.

Before this program, I was a broken, shell of a person. Five months later, I’ve got relationships with friends and family back. I have ambition, purpose, and I’m hopeful for the future. Between all of the therapists & case managers like Bri and JP, the staff at Ocean State actually cares. In comparison, no other program even comes close. If you’re on the fence about choosing a program or taking that first step to reach out for help, call Ocean State. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
EDIT: I was hired here shortly after completing the program and my opinion of this place has only gotten better since starting to work here almost a year ago.

Ocean State recovery has helped me so much these past months. All the staff and the therapist are so awesome, loving and caring. Even my fellow clients were awesome. They became family to me. I highly recommend this recovery program.

I just want to say i actually just graduated from ocean state recovery today and sincerely want to thank them for all the support they gave me during my journey on getting sober i can honestly say without their support and sense of care i would have not been able to maintain sobriety throughout everything im going through they helped me get through it all and still strong today getting through it i want to thank all the staff they are so respectful helpful and there for you no matter what especially in a time of you trying to fix your life and keep clean staying sober and finding a better solution id recommend anyone to this place in getting that support and push to finding and reaching that better you and getting sober... My experience at CCBC was welcoming but very little depth in sessions. I felt a lack of support and that my concerns may not have been understood or even unaddressed. I never reached advancement. Overall, this was a step forward, I have more people involved, and now my care has been shifted to more intensive. I'd recommend routine evaluations to ensure consistent effectiveness.

My daughter was admitted for a mental disorder .I was nervous about the whole experience and some of the reviews I read wasn’t great .But after a few days once they found the right treatment and medication for my daughter .No more angry monster .I was seeing my old daughter again .After her almost 2 weeks and was ready to go home she and I were both please with the place ,staff seemed friendly and helpful .My daughter ending up enjoying the groups she was reluctant to participate in the beginning.She even liked the food .I saw a drastic change .Would definitely recommend unit 2 depending on your problem .

I was so impressed with the workers assigned to my daughter. Amanda and Abbey. They helped bring my daughter out of a very dark place. Amanda was there for both her and myself day and night. Helped me navigate the school system. Abbey was right along side with her. My daughter has gained so much confidence and trust and respect for herself and others, they taught me how to communicate with my daughter in a positive way. Abbey is still her TM, and my daughter looks forward to seeing her every single week. I truly am thankful for all the hard work they put in. I will always remember and miss Amanda. If she gets to read this, I miss her and I wish her the best always.
