Came off 170 mgs of methadone without any major problems. I slept, ate, and was overall content. Nursing and tech staff made the stay what it should be. I’m not really a taker but sometimes a smile from a random staff would get me out of the funk. They reduced my methadone 10mg a day from 170 until 20mg. I thought I would feel awful at 20 but the only problem I had was high blood pressure and sweating. All symptoms I could deal with. It’s detox! You’re not going to like everything about it!
Atlanta, Mark, Christine, Joe, JAMIE! No techs or nurses ever made me feel like I was a bother. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get off a substance. Especially methadone, in I feel 1000 times better without that crap in my body. I live in NJ, only one place would take my ins. The rest would only detox from methadone of a 30-40mg dose. Sunrise did not rush me and kept their word I wouldn’t receive surprise bills. They even didn’t bill me for things they should have. Shortly before I went there I was on a ventilator. I am Doing the work but this place helped get me across the line. If you complain here it’s your addiction talking. Has your addiction ever been correct with advice? Great place!

Been on liquid handcuffs for 3+ years finally starting to decrease my dose, this place saved my life they’re awesome and don’t treat you like an addict. My only complaint is they should make it easier for take homes. I don’t understand why they don’t give everyone 1 weeks worth and if the patient messes up then take them off. I feel like if I git take homes right away I could have winged myself off. Because yes Dr’s know a lot and a lot more than me but I know for a fact I know my body better than any doctor. My first experience at this hospital. I went in for the company mandated flu shot. I don’t do well with needles. I looked at the wrong time and these two lovely nurses caught me before passing out. They spent over a half hour with me. Constantly reassessing vitals, got some sugar in me. Elevated my legs to help with blood flow. They kept me laughing with a good sense of humor. Before this program, I was a broken, shell of a person. Five months later, I’ve got relationships with friends and family back. I have ambition, purpose, and I’m hopeful for the future. Between all of the therapists & case managers like Bri and JP, the staff at Ocean State actually cares. In comparison, no other program even comes close. Hello I'm Katalina I'm a 14 year old girl who has struggled with alot I have attended Butler 7 times you may find a lot of 1 or 2 star reviews as a person who has gone 7 times during strike and before and after the strike it all depends on the group of kids I have been there with really bad kids who has had fights and more they do tend to try and get your kids needs while they are in the rooms during that emergency and when there's good groups it calming your kids will have 2 work times where they just do a small packet to help with understanding CBT DBT and coping skills along with others they would get 3 meals 2 free times 2 visit times you can have strings and walks along with others small basketball court. This is the place if you’re really struggling and need some outside help. The rules are pretty simple. However my big Downside is this is a for profit company. For the 80 or so they get from each patient it should be invested into quality case workers. I’m not saying they are all bad but I’ve been here for about 5 or so years, and I’ve just been given my 7th case worker granted only 5 we’re supposed to be permanent. The case worker I just finally got Is the only one you’ve hired that has personal experience.

Before this program, I was a broken, shell of a person. Five months later, I’ve got relationships with friends and family back. I have ambition, purpose, and I’m hopeful for the future. Between all of the therapists & case managers like Bri and JP, the staff at Ocean State actually cares. In comparison, no other program even comes close. If you’re on the fence about choosing a program or taking that first step to reach out for help, call Ocean State. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
EDIT: I was hired here shortly after completing the program and my opinion of this place has only gotten better since starting to work here almost a year ago.

Ocean State recovery has helped me so much these past months. All the staff and the therapist are so awesome, loving and caring. Even my fellow clients were awesome. They became family to me. I highly recommend this recovery program.

I just want to say i actually just graduated from ocean state recovery today and sincerely want to thank them for all the support they gave me during my journey on getting sober i can honestly say without their support and sense of care i would have not been able to maintain sobriety throughout everything im going through they helped me get through it all and still strong today getting through it i want to thank all the staff they are so respectful helpful and there for you no matter what especially in a time of you trying to fix your life and keep clean staying sober and finding a better solution id recommend anyone to this place in getting that support and push to finding and reaching that better you and getting sober... My experience at CCBC was welcoming but very little depth in sessions. I felt a lack of support and that my concerns may not have been understood or even unaddressed. I never reached advancement. Overall, this was a step forward, I have more people involved, and now my care has been shifted to more intensive. I'd recommend routine evaluations to ensure consistent effectiveness.

I hear through staff at Pathways and my recovery coach this will be a great resource for my lifestyle. I believe this could be the ticket to attend about the views given. I’m going to try a tour to see the in and out of this place. Can hardly wait to see and experience. I was so impressed with the workers assigned to my daughter. Amanda and Abbey. They helped bring my daughter out of a very dark place. Amanda was there for both her and myself day and night. Helped me navigate the school system. Abbey was right along side with her. My daughter has gained so much confidence and trust and respect for herself and others, they taught me how to communicate with my daughter in a positive way. Abbey is still her TM, and my daughter looks forward to seeing her every single week. I truly am thankful for all the hard work they put in. I will always remember and miss Amanda.
