RCA and its facilitors were exceptional. Intake and discharge was streamlined and efficient. A variety of flexible groups and speakers were scheduled weekly. Educational classes regarding medications and planning for discharge are also available. The facility provides lesiure activities such as fishing, recovery walks, and a gym. Facility was well maintained and clean. A variety of meals are offered for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a night snack. Substitute protein options are also available. RCA will meet and exceed expectations and provide all one needs for a successful recovery.

My stay at RCA Bracebridge was truly life-changing. This was my first experience in rehab, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded everything I could have imagined. The groups were both educational and life-changing, providing valuable knowledge and tools that I can carry with me throughout my recovery. The staff were exceptionally supportive, caring, and informative. It was comforting to know that someone was always there whenever I needed help or support. My therapist, Jessica V., is amazing, and I will never forget her. Mr. Dan, Mike H., Mrs. Jessie, and Mrs. Amber were also incredibly supportive and generously shared their knowledge and experience, which made a meaningful difference in my recovery. The RSS staff were outstanding, and words cannot fully express my gratitude for everything they did. The kitchen staff, especially Eric, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. That support allowed us to focus on what mattered most—our recovery. Mr. Tariq always listened and showed genuine care and compassion toward the clients. His kindness and willingness to be there for us meant a lot. I will forever be grateful to RCA Bracebridge for helping save my life and giving me the coping skills and tools I need to continue recovering one day at a time. Ashley Treatment Center offers a genuinely strong overall recovery program in many ways. The campus is beautiful, peaceful, and clearly designed to support healing. The food is excellent and far better than you would expect. My loved one is sad to miss the daily menu. The facility also accepts a wide variety of insurances, and we are thankful that our insurance covered the entire program. Most importantly, the majority of the staff were kind, supportive, and professional, and my loved one had positive interactions with nearly everyone he encountered. Except one. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by one therapist: Donna J. While the rest of the staff showed compassion and skill, Donna repeatedly treated my family member with disrespect. She told him to “stop exaggerating” during a session where he was emotionally dysregulated; she raised her voice and even waived her finger in his face on another occasion. Instead of de-escalating emotional moments (as a counselor in a treatment center should) she often escalated them further, making sessions more distressing rather than therapeutic. During the one visitation family members are allowed (something to be addressed later in this review), I spoke with several of Donna’s patients who shared similar concerns. Some had successfully been transferred to different therapists, but for reasons never explained, Ashley would not allow my loved one to transfer, leaving him stuck with this dynamic for the entirety of the program. Even as he was leaving, Donna chose to interact negatively, asking him what he wrote about her on the exit survey, and when he said he chose not to leave comments, she called him a “jive turkey”. It was unprofessional and frankly a bizarre way to end a month-long treatment stay. I later learned that earlier in the year, she had been recognized as a finalist for having the “greatest percentage increase in clients’ Global Recovery Scores.” While that sounds impressive, it can also simply mean someone started at the bottom and improved from there, a Most-Improved Player award, if you will. Based on our experience, this recognition does not reflect her ability to work with emotionally dysregulated individuals or those in vulnerable stages of recovery. Outside of this one staff member, my loved one had no issues with any of the other 50+ employees he interacted with. The rest of the team was consistently supportive and very helpful to him. A few additional notes for families considering Ashley: • The 28-day program includes only one visitation weekend, during week three. • The cost is steep: $1000 for one visitor, plus $500 each for each up to two additional visitors. • Scholarships do exist, though they are not advertised. I requested one and received a 75% discount, but the application process required extensive documentation, similar to applying for government assistance. • The two-day family program is well-intentioned and has a thoughtful schedule, but the execution felt uneven. There were long stretches were the staff were disengaged or unclear about next steps, and I would have appreciated more active guidance and interaction. Overall: Ashley Treatment Center offers a strong program, excellent environment, and mostly wonderful staff. But the experience with Donna was deeply harmful and inconsistent with the quality of care provided by the rest of the team. Families should be aware of the visitation costs and be prepared to advocate firmly if a therapist mismatch occurs.

I had a very good experience at TW. The facility is very nice, as are the grounds. While the houses always seem cold, I slept well in very comfortable beds. I found the therapists very engaging and helpful with a big focus on the root causes of the substance abuse. The education groups were also good particularly if you’re struggling with the higher power concept. There are some dumb rules and I strongly recommend the RG houses rather than the main house. The main house is very busy all day. The pool, hot tub and sauna are all great amenities. Enjoyed the massage and acupuncture therapies. The yoga and cellular healing were less than expected. If you’re serious about recovery I highly recommend this place.

I found my time at the Arnold location POP was most helpful in my recovery. The staff was educational in the topics discussed and interactive with us to make sure we engaged and participated. The opportunity to attend classes in a hybrid setting was convenient and gave me more flexibility to reach my goals. On the hole, this was a facility and staff gets high marks all around. If you find yourself in need of these services provided The Arnold location would be my first choice.

We are and have been incredibly impressed with MARC’S recovery program. This is so much more than just a 30-day inpatient program. This is round 2 with our son in an inpatient 30-day program. First round included 60-day housing program with another recovery team. Choosing MARC after a 30-day inpatient, has gone beyond our expectations. The plan of treatment was SO individualized to our son’s needs. The program included substance recovery and truly addressed his mental health. The communication with the staff was clear and quick to respond. The program incorporated weekly family therapy which educated us on addiction and taught us how to communicate again without waking on “eggshells.” The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my son’s success. The program provided the tools, support, and guidance he needed to rebuild his life and strengthen my relationships with our family. Including family in the recovery process has made a tremendous difference and helped create a strong foundation for lasting recovery. His courage and confidence have made him a strong individual. We highly recommend this program to anyone seeking comprehensive, compassionate care with a successful recovery. My son has chosen to remain with his therapist as his outpatient. The trust and bound with his therapist is strong.

The councilors to the coordinator are all amazing they give u as much information as possible while giving the tools to succeed. All the employees have been thru addiction and that matters they have been thru the trenches of addiction and have been successful with their recovery and are very supportive of whatever u have going on. I had a few options after detox/rehab for a step down program to continue working on my recovery. I am very happy that I chose to go to MRP. From the initial assessment to my next step afterwards, I was supported and involved with every single part of this process. Kim was my counselor and she treated me like I was her own son. She helped open up and talk about things that have been such a struggle for me my whole life. The groups were very informative and enjoyable at the same time. As much as we worked on our recovery, we also had a lot of fun while I was there. We went bowling, to the movies and fishing when the weather permitted. I am so thankful for every single staff member who helped me with everything that I needed. I was so nervous on my way there but that feeling disappeared as soon as I stepped in the door. I was a bit sad to leave but I was also very excited to move on to the next chapter of my life. Again thank you MRP, I appreciate y’all so much.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Sandstone. Our teen was making terrible choices and nothing we were doing as parents was working. Sandstone’s whole of person concept of care was everything our family needed. The program provided a personal therapist for our teen; along with twice a day group therapy sessions; pet therapy; nature walks; and fun group outings. They also provided us a family therapist and offered voluntary group therapy sessions for all the parents who currently had teens in the program, which was a great resource and helped my husband and I feel less alone. From the intake to the out processing, my teen reported feeling safe and well cared for and my husband and I shared that sentiment. We were a little nervous going in because of the online reviews, but if your family is struggling with a teen with addiction, we highly recommend this place. Our teen did say that the food was terrible, but I’d rather the food be terrible and the program be excellent than the other way around. Our teen just started college and said the program was a great way to reset and get back on track.

As a homeless Veteran from Indiana leaving an abusive marriage I asked the VA for help for housing. I was on the list for a 1 bedroom apartment and was approved within 3 months with move in date 3 months later. I have nothing bad to say about my stay there. I had a great experience at this facility and couldn’t have asked for any better. The entire facility is beautiful, warm and inviting. The staff from every department were super friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. I checked in after having a bad experience at another local facility and can tell you it was night and day in comparison. I met a lot of great people and as strange as it may sound, I was a bit sad to leave. I highly recommend Alpas as it’s the best place to be for recovery.

I have been going to this clinic for 9 years, and have always been treated very well— like I hope all Veterans would be. When I sit in the waiting room before an appointment, I’ve always gotten a positive vibe about how the other Veterans are treated. The Audiologist, Dr Doepping, is excellent: technically savvy, and very concerned about her patients (I’m friends with several of her other patients, and we all agree on this). CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

I cannot recommend this program enough! After months of trying with no success we have found a program for my mom that finally wields some results! Such an amazing and supportive staff that welcomed her with open arms and unwavering kindness. They have shown countless times that they will never give up on their patients! Huge shout out to Cindy and Pete for SAVING my mom and offering her a 2nd family. What a kind, forgiving and uplifting group of professionals. My inspiring experience at Kolmac, I was compelled to seek intensive rehab by my specialist. Reason being to do otherwise would mean the surgeons wouldn't operate. My blood scores gave me 18 months. I was in a wheel chair, Could barely walk, Everything hurt. I was a pretty useless human at the time. I chose Kolmac because I couldn't get somewhere in person. Looking back it was the best way for me to get over my skepticism of rehab or therapy. I'm older gen x, sorry its in my nature. It took about 3 weeks before it sunk in. I realized I had no time left. I looked at that 18 months. This is what I have to work with. I control this last 18. I'm going to fake it if I have to. I did at first but, turns out my self is pretty gullible. Kolmac helped me get my mind right. I got better at dealing with bad news. Loved ones started to notice. I started to meditate when I couldn't sleep. I prayed to God. Don't let my last days be the sad part of a country song. Then my scores started to improve. I physically improved. I had more time, which coincided with the gift of a living donor. Then setbacks. A rollercoaster. All the while I had the soft pillow of Kolmac friends to help. Everyone has their monster. My health was mine. There is a special bond that you developed with other recovering alcoholics. I notice we seek each other out at parties. The battle of recovery is brutal and I learned a lot from my fellow Kolmac warriors and waryetts I love and care about them like family which makes it so hard to move on. So back to the grind. Life doesn't always go the way I want. I have the tools to deal with it. I've found peace and happiness in the quiet spaces of my day. I've come a long way in 18 months. I trust my sobriety which in turn inspires others and makes them happy. Paul

Going in I was apprehension as the program is intensive. But after one group session, I felt completely at ease. I began looking forward to groups, and meeting with my counselor. They keep in touch with you intermittently throughout the program to make sure that you’re adjusting to Kolmac. Safety, and accountability are also of the utmost importance, which I truly appreciated. Overall, Kolmac gave me more tools to add to my toolbelt, while keeping me engaged and challenging me. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, Kolmac and Lisa!

Ok so at first I gotta admit it was probably the hardest thing I’ve done but by the grace of god and all the amazing people at tru healing who helped me through it everyday I did it. Not only did I complete the 30 day program I met some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Starting with the counselors and case managers, my counselor Ms Mo she is tough but the most helpful and supportive person and I needed your toughness and more importantly she knew I needed that as well and for that I thank her and Mrs bam omg she is the sweetest person ever and helped me everytime and always was there when I needed to talk which was a lot and for that thank you so much. Now another person who was so kind and amazing to me and to everyone was Nate he is an amazing person and such an inspiration thank you so much Nate. I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. They are all very passionate about their job and they make u feel welcomed and safe . I honestly believe if you are willing to chose recovery Chrysalis House will and can help 💯

From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. I have lived in Frederick for the last two years and have done recovery in that area for the last two consecutive years as well when I made the decision to come back to Anne Arundel County to be closer to family. The only place I did an application for was Evolve. A few years later, I did an interview and was accepted the same day. About a week before my dishwasher we called to let them know. I was being close to being discharged. We were notified and I was on a waitlist and I was pretty far down the waitlist and I went into full panic mode because I had no Plan B and I did not want a Plan B!!! I had heard nothing but positive things about Evolve from personal close friends that are in recovery. That weekend, I did a lot of self advocating in my higher power was definitely on my side because Tuesday I was told that I was leaving the next day. So far, my experience has been great here. Everybody has been extremely friendly, including staff and my peers. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out! I can’t wait to see where the next six months brings me! But I am forever grateful that Evolve will be part of my journey.

This place is full of love, compassion and dedication to helping patients become their best selves. The Jude House has creative outlets for the patients like open mics where they can sing, play drums, guitar and share their songs and poetry. There is always a lot of laughter and support. **2nd UPDATE** Going on 8 years clean and still going strong!! 👍🏋️‍♂️ I went from not having 2 nickels to rub together to now, I own my own company, I own my own home and I am so grateful to Pathways for getting me here. Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. I remember the food was good too that's always a plus cuz you never wanna eat depending on what drugs you were on.

Best clinic that I've been to. The staff, including front desk, nurses, and counselors are all very friendly ,personable, and most importantly, CARING. I have great rapport with my current counselor (and I pray she stays!), which makes me feel open and at ease in our meetings. The current head nurse has also been great. I really could keep mentioning specific staff members, they have all been great and accommodating to me. The staff seriously all go above and beyond in my experience with them, which makes the recovery process so much easier.
