I took my son there when he was about 17 or so (he's 23 yrs old now) and they changed his life! He has autism and bipolar manic disorder. He wasn't diagnosed correctly at McKenzie Medical and the Dr here got him on the correct medication. We no longer live in Tennessee but I hope they see this and know he's still doing great (except for the seizures) Thanks for helping my son when no one else had a clue!I'd like to add that the medicaid in Tennessee is horrible! No dental or vision coverage??? What's up with that?? and finding a good Dr, especially a psychiatrist is a huge task. Glad to be back in Ohio where my son and I both are well taken care of physically and mentally. And we both have dental and vision coverage.

Not to be antagonistic, but most, if not all of the complaints on here are from people who were asked to leave because they refused to submit to the leadership of HC, or they just left on their own because they were not serious enough about getting TOTALLY clean. My son went through the men s HC program 2 separate times in Waverly (which is located near McEwen). The 1st time he completed the program, but relapsed later and had to go through the program again. The 2nd time he refused to submit to leadership & was asked to leave. HC leadership is godly & loving. I highly recommend this ministry!!!

I am a family interventionist and have been in recovery for over 16 years. Although Hope center ministries has had some growing pains their core is true service. I have seen men facing unbearable situations go through Hope center and come out productive members in the community and not return to incarceration or addiction.

I attended Mirror Lake during aug-sept of 24. The place was pretty awesome. The staff was amazing. I can truly say that I never had a single issue with a single staff member. While I was attending there was a change in leadership. Let me tell you, it was a great move. The (boss man) you know who you are.....was great. He was out and about amongst us clients. He wanted to know what could be done to make our stay better. If it was possible he made it happened. He never told a lie, or exaggerated the truth. He also never just told you what you wanted to hear, just to get you out of the way. He was straight forward. I respect that in leadership. Ok. Now that we have that covered. I must say that the only thing that I did dislike...was having to be locked out of the cabins all day. I understand that we are there for recovery. Unfortunately, everyone does not rehabilitate the same way. That is an issue that may need to be addressed. Other than that one issue, this place is definitely a spot to chose for your or you loved ones recovery. Before I go, I have to mention the art class. The best 2 days of the week. Freeman recovery has been a God sent to my family. My husband is currently there and is now in IOP and I can truly from the bottom of my heart say thank you. Not a bad place, I didn't know what to expect. Heather, Zane, & Cindy do a awesome job along with all of the other staff. They definitely need to remodel & update this facility. Also the cafeteria budget needs increased & the vending machines updated.
