I spent seven months at the Lighthouse on 745 E 300 S in Salt Lake City. During my time there, I learned about how my childhood trauma had shaped my life and started me on the road to addictive behaviors. I learned about my triggers and how to cope more effectively. My behavior changed and I have been sober for more than eight months. I'm now looking forward to a happy and healthy future. Francisco Cid 3 months ago this was my first time in recovery, and it was a great experience. i did the whole thing, starting in residential then moving on to outpatient and sober living. they put me on the path and gave me the tools to make things work. i was homeless and had given up on anything changing a long time ago. after completing the program, i am now employed, for 9 months and i love my job, after sober living i found a place that would rent to me. i did the work, odyssey showed me how, and made every step very doable. they helped me get all my legal problems taken care of and made it possible to get off the streets. after 14 years i had all but given up on anything changing. odyssey house got me motivated and gave me direction. i never thought i would be able to get to where i am now, working got my own place, more than anything im happy, and feel like i have options. im in control of my life. i highly recommend anyone thinking about recovery to go to odyssey, its not easy but they will get you thru it, and its 100% worth whatever it takes to regain a handle on your life. nich jepperson 3 months ago

The staff and residents have cultivated an environment that truly supports growth and I left feeling deeply fulfilled. I went in with the mindset "I have to get sober" and left with "I get to be sober." They showed me life can be enjoyed, just just endured. Not white knuckling my way every second of my life. For anyone considering this step, you truly get out what you put in. If you come in surrendered, open, and willing to accept the process, the reward is life changing, I promise with all my heart. Taking that step requires immense vulnerability, but at Brighton, that vulnerability is matched by a team that genuinely cares. The head nurse, Siobhan, was a true blessing, my therapist Shawn was amazing, and the technician staff were all fantastic. I really appreciated the balanced program they offer combining deep group therapy and individual one-on-one sessions with holistic activities like spirituality, exercise, art, and outdoor time. I've been on methadone before and tried getting off it cold turkey and if I can give any advice don't! Be patient and do it slow by tappering and just trust the program, I went two months in complete hell withdrawing that was beyond fun, I tried going to my original clinic but they couldn't take new patients so I came here, Mary is my counselor and she made me feel very respected and she was extremely caring and listened and just made the whole process very easy, I highly recommend this clinic if you are struggling and need help, utah is extremely hard getting this kind of help and its hard finding people who actually care and listen, dr Stephen is also very compassionate and listen as well, thanks for all your help I feel my life already getting back on track. I've been treated with respect and the supportive environment has been vital to my recovery. Everybody working there is there because they want to be. Because they genuinely care and want to help you. There's accountability when I need it without feeling judged. My counselor Caitlin is one of the best people I've ever met. Her warmth makes her easy to talk to. She's so smart and she's great at helping with addiction issues. Whether it's a quick hello or she's checking in with me to see how I'm doing. I will note it took me going to the Brighton inpatient facility in south Ogden first and following up here to make a difference. My life has completely changed for the better. I had been seeking help for 3 years prior and nothing seemed to work. I was truly at a loss and this was a last ditch effort. I am thankful for Donny Wheat who was so quick to meet me same day I showed interest and had questions about the facility. He has been there every step of the way. I had not had to make any decisions alone nor was I left with any questions. You can tell how much he cares not just about his job but about each individual he comes into contact with. My therapist Becca has been the best therapist I have ever had. It took a few weeks to build a connection but now I feel like she SEES me. She understands me like no other therapist has. I have never felt emotional during a session and lately my sessions are healing parts of me I didn’t know were still unhealed. I've learned a lot from Odyssey my favorite assignment was the thinking errors it really helped me see them in myself and has taught me to grow. I recommend this program to anybody still in there addiction most say I won't do that snitching program. But it really ain't like that all it teaches accountability and how to hold your peers accountable. It also shows you how to express your emotions using the encounter process. My experience with the Odyssey House of Utah was life changing. I spent seven months at the Lighthouse on 745 E 300 S in Salt Lake City. During my time there, I learned about how my childhood trauma had shaped my life and started me on the road to addictive behaviors. I learned about my triggers and how to cope more effectively. My behavior changed and I have been sober for more than eight months. I'm now looking forward to a happy and healthy future.

this was my first time in recovery, and it was a great experience. i did the whole thing, starting in residential then moving on to outpatient and sober living. they put me on the path and gave me the tools to make things work. i was homeless and had given up on anything changing a long time ago. after completing the program, i am now employed, for 9 months and i love my job, after sober living i found a place that would rent to me. i did the work, odyssey showed me how, and made every step very doable. they helped me get all my legal problems taken care of and made it possible to get off the streets. after 14 years i had all but given up on anything changing. odyssey house got me motivated and gave me direction. i never thought i would be able to get to where i am now, working got my own place, more than anything im happy, and feel like i have options. im in control of my life. i highly recommend anyone thinking about recovery to go to odyssey, its not easy but they will get you thru it, and its 100% worth whatever it takes to regain a handle on your life.

My overall experience at Brighton was amazing, I'm so deeply grateful for everyone at the South Ogden location. The staff and residents have cultivated an environment that truly supports growth and I left feeling deeply fulfilled. I went in with the mindset "I have to get sober" and left with "I get to be sober." They showed me life can be enjoyed, just just endured. Not white knuckling my way every second of my life. For anyone considering this step, you truly get out what you put in. If you come in surrendered, open, and willing to accept the process, the reward is life changing, I promise with all my heart. Taking that step requires immense vulnerability, but at Brighton, that vulnerability is matched by a team that genuinely cares. The head nurse, Siobhan, was a true blessing, my therapist Shawn was amazing, and the technician staff were all fantastic. It is so important to be surrounded by people who are passionate about their work, and that is exactly what I felt every day. I really appreciated the balanced program they offer combining deep group therapy and individual one-on-one sessions with holistic activities like spirituality, exercise, art, and outdoor time. While there were a few days where communication felt a little disconnected, the team overall stayed completely on top of the program and delivered a remarkably strong experience. I’m sharing this because deciding to enter recovery can be terrifying. I hope my experience can be a beacon of hope for someone else standing on the edge of that choice... Take the leap. I still can't say enough good about this location and the wonderful staff here. So much good can happen w the right attitude and accepting the help this place can offer. Money wasn't an issue, I paid out of pocket to start and they helped me get on benefits to ease the costs. But at no time did they turn me away for any reason. I am so grateful for these folks and the assistance they provide time and time again. They really do care so if you are living so hard and feel like no one cares give these places a chance and get help. Totally worth it. 2 years later, still a great resource that likely saved my life. It's worth it call them!

I have a 4 star honest rating! No one is perfect especially in the recovery addiction business. But these guys actually care. They care about you your health. You deal with a counselor Kevin he’s a 5 star counselor! Definitely cares and knows a little about what he’s doing! Definitely a blessed man indeed! The doc doesn’t know a whole lot about addiction because he came from pediatrics so Kevin fills in well! If you’re struggling and need help go to this clinic? It’s more than worth it if you have Medicaid people! It’s free to those with Medicaid insurance! Why not better yourself and take the first step in recovery? Amethyst Center for Healing, and Jana Fulmer changed my life. As a trans person recovering from trauma, this was a safe haven that is irreplaceable. I was given space and tools to start discovering more about myself and how to grow when in a place of pain. I also really respect what they do— not only working with victims of violence but those who have hurt others. This reparative justice ethos is inspiring and part of a future that focuses on rehabilitation not punitive systems. I’m so much happier with my life, and a lot of that has to do with the empowerment and trust I was given at Amethyst to start making decisions in my life that were more focused and less reactionary. UPDATE: unfortunately it's been a couple years and still on the methadone but that's because of other issues and my body needing long relief from pain, with that being said i just wanted to thank Mary and Dr Stephen for treating me as a patient and working outside of the addiction side of treatment and willing to work with the recommendations from my personal Dr's, i seriously can't express how compassionate you all have been and treat me with the upmost respect, anyone truly looking for the right place for help look no further CTC of Layton and all there people really do care. I've been on methadone before and tried getting off it cold turkey and if I can give any advice don't! Be patient and do it slow by tappering and just trust the program, I went two months in complete hell withdrawing that was beyond fun, I tried going to my original clinic but they couldn't take new patients so I came here, Mary is my counselor and she made me feel very respected and she was extremely caring and listened and just made the whole process very easy, I highly recommend this clinic if you are struggling and need help, utah is extremely hard getting this kind of help and its hard finding people who actually care and listen, dr Stephen is also very compassionate and listen as well, thanks for all your help I feel my life already getting back on track.

This is a safe place to go for help. The counselors, nurses, reception, the doctor and even the other patients are wonderful. I've been coming here for over 6 months. I've been treated with respect and the supportive environment has been vital to my recovery. Everybody working there is there because they want to be. Because they genuinely care and want to help you. There's accountability when I need it without feeling judged. My counselor Caitlin is one of the best people I've ever met. Her warmth makes her easy to talk to. She's so smart and she's great at helping with addiction issues. Whether it's a quick hello or she's checking in with me to see how I'm doing. I always look forward to seeing her when I come in to dose.

Oh I absolutely love every single person at this facility!! I've been a Spravato patient for 3 years now and it's changed my life from being in the deepest darkest hole 🕳 I've ever been in, to a bright shining future with my bf and other family & friends and of course Loki our Lil dog 😊 I can't put it into words because of how amazing, non judgemental, caring, loving & the kindest nurses staff ever!! This facility is amazing and life changing. I will note it took me going to the Brighton inpatient facility in south Ogden first and following up here to make a difference. My life has completely changed for the better. I had been seeking help for 3 years prior and nothing seemed to work. I was truly at a loss and this was a last ditch effort. I am thankful for Donny Wheat who was so quick to meet me same day I showed interest and had questions about the facility. He has been there every step of the way. I had not had to make any decisions alone nor was I left with any questions. You can tell how much he cares not just about his job but about each individual he comes into contact with. My therapist Becca has been the best therapist I have ever had. It took a few weeks to build a connection but now I feel like she SEES me. She understands me like no other therapist has. I have never felt emotional during a session and lately my sessions are healing parts of me I didn’t know were still unhealed. Amy is super wonderful and knowledgeable and she even runs the alumni group on thursdays. She will make a great SUDC one day! Thankful for this facility. I finally have hope for my future. Highly recommend.

Best program I’ve ever been a part of! They truly care about your recovery and mental health and help you to understand how they are interconnected and how to treat both. They’re not perfect but are always listening to feedback and making improvements. I can’t recommend their PHP and IOP programs enough! Shout out to Keenan who helped me tremendously and has inspired me to go into this field to help others.

Action Recovery Group literally saved my life. I wasn't sure where to start when I decided to go to treatment. Someone recommended Action and it was one of the best decisions I'd made in a long time. The majority of staff there has experienced addiction which makes it easier to relate to them and take their advice. Everyone there truly cares about the welfare and success of the clients. The IOP program works great for people who work during the day and they are always willing to work with you one on one to make sure your treatment meets your specific needs. I would recommend them to anybody.

I came to Action Recovery Group because I could not stop drinking. I came seeking solutions and I wasn't sure i could be helped. From the beginning i saw how much the staff cared about helping the clients. I learned that they didn't just talk about Recovery, they lived Recovery. My son was here for almost a year. He is now home. Benchmark was a good facility for him and us as parents. They really have a structured program that he needed. When he first arrived he went through some stuff there however after he was there and got with the right therapist we could tell things started to improve. His therapist JB was awesome. Really has the boys interest at heart and really worked with our son who was not opening up in therapy. JB is a wonderful therapist and so caring. All the staff were great. Sophia who answers the phone was so nice and wonderful Every time we would call. It is hard sending your child somewhere and it was out of state for us so we were nervous. However Benchmark really helped him and us as a family. We got to visit him and have day passes with him. Travis was very helpful in getting that arranged for us. If you are thinking of a place I would recommend them. Thank you to the staff at Benchmark and thank you JB you are awesome we would not be where we are without you.

My son was just transferred to Benchmark from a facility here in Alaska. From the first contact, they were helpful, hopeful, and encouraging to my son and our family. Mindy is his therapist and she has kept in contact with my husband and I and made sure to ask deep questions about our son and his bio family. She takes time to show our son what trauma can do to your brain. Even with the time difference, the staff always makes sure our son gets to talk to us everyday. Without fail. They went over all his meds as well as making sure we as his parents understood what he’s on, why, and what side effects he could have. He hasn’t been there very long, but this is the first time in years that there is hope our son won’t just be another statistic in the system. Thank you Benchmark!

I was very happy with the staff at Professional Services. From the beginning, I felt comfortable with my experience, and I also knew that I came to the right place, a place that offered classes/treatment that I had previously never been offered. There was an extremely helpful staff member. She helped me through the process and organized my schedule for me. Not only was she professional, but she was very relatable - I always felt comfortable with her efforts to help me on my journey to sobriety. I never felt judged in any way. I appreciated the instructor Prime For Life classes - she was very helpful, and again, relatable to work with. Another instructor had a great impact on me as well, instructing online classes each week. I learned so much about my addiction in a way I had never discovered before. The different phases of alcoholism were very understandable and easy for me to relate to. I was given hope that I now have the power to turn back, and to not lose the most important things in life!

We were just visiting Elevations for a 2 days orientation and 2 days kid visit. We were very impressed with the Facility, and the professionalism of the therapists, and other stuff members. The way how they address the kids, and communicate with them shows that they really care for them. The kids looked pretty comfortable as well. The Facility is very safe, and there are many safety precautions in place ensuring the well-being of the kids.We have seen a lot of adorable dogs (every therapists has dogs) mingling with the kids, and the kids loved to pet them.We loved the Library, the School, the Cafeteria, where we were invited to have dinner with our kids.I wish, the kids could spend more time outside in the surrounding grassy areas in between the buildings. However, we understood that there were contraction workers fixing some areas, so for safety reasons the kids could not spend more time outside. This will change, once the contraction is over.All together we have only good things to say about "Elevations".

some of the staff are amazing people, some are slightly frustrating, all in all this place helped me be a better person, shelby is an amazing therapist, mo and amberlyn have pushed me in ways i thought weren t possible, food kinda sucks tho

Most facilities like this one tend to get negative feedback. It's the nature of the beast, but personally my experience has been a good one. They have great staff, the facility is clean and the food is really good. Not to mention all the amazing recreational outtings!

Not my choice to do the program, it was an inconvenience at first and I came in with a negative view about having to attend group. Cody was my assigned therapist and I absolutely love her, she helped me see things that I didn’t see before and helped me work through some of my struggles. She made our therapy sessions, supportive and it felt like I was speaking with a friend who actually cared. Cody is the type of person you want to hang out with because of the vibe she gives off, I learned so much from our therapy sessions and my view on the whole thing has changed and I feel like it was a good and needed experience after all. This review is for Britney Nilsen, my DV Therapist and Dawtae shaw my therapist! Britney is one of the kindest and most caring therapists I’ve ever met. She has an incredible ability to see things from a different perspective, which often helps me look at my own situations in a new and more positive light. Her approach to navigating and talking through difficult experiences is truly amazing. Britney’s personality is awesome - she’s completely down to earth, easy to talk to, and genuinely feels like someone you could call a friend. She’s soft and compassionate, yet still direct and to the point when it matters most. I always looked forward to my sessions with her each week. Dawntae Shaw is super nice down to earth and a very great listener. I felt she was kind but direct when needed and helped me open my eyes to see things from a different perspective. Dawntae knows my deepest hurts and truly was there for me through every tear shed during the most difficult time of my life. I owe her everything and then some! Thank you for helping me pick up the pieces of my brokenness and helping rebuild my strength through my darkest moments.
