Out of all the treatment facilities in Coeburn and Norton this is the ONLY office that took my insurance. The Norton Office is amazing. My counselor Mr Ratliff understands the mindset of an addict . We all have a choice to either get clean or not . And the people that run off or give bad reviews in my opinion dont want to change , if nothing changes then nothing changes . I don't know where they found all the wonderful people who work there but I'm glad I met every single one of them. If you're struggling with an addiction or find yourself in a mental health crisis and fear is keeping you from taking the big step through the doors of a facility like that, please know that you will be met with nothing but love, kindness, patience and genuine concern that you get better. My higher power and reason to stay sober is that I wouldn't want any of their efforts to have been a waste and, even though they'd never know if I drank again, the thought of disappointing any of the people who helped me get sober is reason enough to never back-slide. I'd been there twice before when I was younger for self harm but this time around for alcohol abuse. The food has gone way down hill, but I suppose it could be worse. Trying to sleep there was a nightmare for me because I'm used to sleeping with a fan/tv and the place goes from complete silence to rando losing their mind and slamming doors at all hours of the night. With that said, I'm writing this to give props to Savannah (peer counselor) and Dami (can't remember her specific title). I don't know where they found all the wonderful people who work there but I'm glad I met every single one of them. If you're struggling with an addiction or find yourself in a mental health crisis and fear is keeping you from taking the big step through the doors of a facility like that, please know that you will be met with nothing but love, kindness, patience and genuine concern that you get better. My higher power and reason to stay sober is that I wouldn't want any of their efforts to have been a waste and, even though they'd never know if I drank again, the thought of disappointing any of the people who helped me get sober is reason enough to never back-slide.
