21 years of addiction. 4 years in prison. 4 complete rehab stays in other facilities. It took me going 5 hours from home, fighting the entire way, to make it to harmony ridge. When I tell you, these people were there for me the minute I stepped out of the car. Someone told me that day (as I was starting to withdraw) "You never have to use ever again." Something so simple, but so powerful. I spent 11 days in detox and 28 in the regular program. I graduated and walked out of there more proud and prepared then I've ever felt in my life. I now have just about 18 months clean, and Harmony Ridge in Barboursville is how that was made possible! Special thanks to Mikey, Rooster, Matt (our spades buddies) Junior, the AMAZING cooks (the food ROCKS btw) my counselor, Jenn, for being there for me when I missed home, who noticed when I wasn't quite myself,and who let me cry multiple times in her office, even when I was afraid to go home, and my case worker Tiffany who was super new but she rocked it and made sure I had transportation, a great sober living house, and even a dentist appt for when I went home!!! Theres so many of yall I cant remember the names, but plz know even 18 months later u guys have ALL made an impact on my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. LOVE YALL!!!

Harmony Ridge helped save my life!! Such a wonderful program 👏 The staff is brilliant beyond words!! They have REAL life experiences in addiction,and humor,compassion,and the willingness to help us win! I strongly suggest them to anyone still sick and suffering, They're one phone call away. If you or someone you know are thinking about going to a treatment center I’m happy to say the staff here have created something special. From the second I called I’ve been treated with love care and empathy by everyone at the facility. Even after completing the 28 program staff members like Joshua Haskiell reach out to check in on me regularly. They don’t make anymore money to do those things they are just genuinely good people with big hearts who have earned my trust. The main guy the director of operations Jacob May was there in the flesh 6 days a week with his door literally open all day. A man in his position doesn’t have to make your problems his problems but that’s exactly what he does for anyone needing help. He personally helped me with seemingly little things but important to me and he didn’t act like they were little he acted like they were important to him. That’s the kind of care you can expect to get at this facility top notch.

The environment was respectful, caring, understanding and supportive. We were treated as adults that have worth. I feel that everyone did their job to the best of their ability. I felt like I was part of my recovery team.

So I arrived at Mt.Regis like most others do,tired and confused,angry and feeling guilty, shameful and unworthy. I was seriously damaged inside, and out. All I knew for sure is that I wanted and needed to be, and do better with and for myself and my life. I suffer from PTSD, and I have been through some horrible ordeals in my lifetime. I had been neglectful, and neglected. My thoughts were all scrambled and my thought process was dangerously out of order. While I was in treatment I was treated with so much respect, and understanding that it almost felt surreal to me, especially because of the life I had been living, and the treatment I was being given by all those fake friends, and even some of my family members over the years. The staff at Mt.Regis made me feel welcome,and appreciated. They taught me how to find and collect myself. They gave me all the tools I needed to make a full recovery,and also how to use them. I applied those tools which were coping skills, trigger recognition, accountability, honesty,self recognition,goal setting, boundary setting, changes to my environment and appreciation for my peers who were facing and dealing with the same challenges as myself. By doing so, I found my true self, one known as a nurturer. I was assisted with every aspect of my recovery and treated like a person worthy of a second chance and the respect and understanding that can only be given by true friends, "Family". I say family because that's exactly what I gained during my treatment. I have formed true friendships and bonds that will stand the test of time, and a family that has been supportive of me from day one. I owe My.Regis all the respect and appreciation in the world. They truly saved my life, and I will never be able to repay them for that. I'm now in a step down program,and upon completion of it,and after a few more months of clean and sober living, I hope to return to Mt.Regis as a Recovery Coach.I see that as my way of paying this gift of life forward. I want more than most other things to be able to be for someone else exactly what Mt.Regis was to me,a Lifesaver. To anyone in need of help obtaining a clean and sober life, I highly recommend My.Regis for your support and recovery team. If you are serious about getting your life back in order,and rebuilding it from the bottom up there is no better place to do so and achieve greatness. Realmente no tuve experiencia en atención médica pero considero que es un lugar bien limpio y organizado, bien concurrido lo único que le puedo decir que a todos sus visitantes deben estar SUPER atentos a todos los avisos de Stop hay 3 patrullas pendiente de cualquier violación a las señales de tránsito y tienen 1000 ojos solo es un consejo eviten ganar una multa de tránsito

I have used this medical facility since 1993. The vast majority of my experiences there have been positive. Easy access and on time appointments. Staff are knowledgeable, courteous, professional and treat me with the utmost respect. I would recommend the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center to any veteran who needs medical services.

The best VA i have ever been to. Great doctors, nurses, and staff.

My first encounter with Beckley VA was with James in enrollment. Words cannot express how easy he made my transition from active duty to retiree. I was getting the run around with Tricare and struggling to navigate the online VA enrollment system. He had it all explained and fixed after one visit to the VA. He even went out of his way to call and schedule my first VA appointment with my new VA primary provider so I could get the care I needed that I was struggling to get during my active duty to retiree transition.

I'm 8+ years clean thanks to the system that works for me. I have so much on my plate & they work with me because the people there are understanding & they Don't look down on you or treat you as a POS like a lot of people do. They also have workshops & I love the art 🎨 workshops. It's a lil pc of something to take home & share with my grands. And the workshops help you meet new people - that have the same goal in mind....staying clean & sober.

I had a wonderful experience october 5th! My OB Dr Hannah Thompson made my scheduled C-Section a breeze made sure I knew step by step what was going on and did everything I wanted in the OR with our baby. The nurses Elizabeth, Reagan, Grace, Caitlin, Alyssa, and Wendy were phenomenal!! If yall see this thank you so much for taking care of us!!

I had a procedure yesterday and I was very scared and emotional. My surgeon dr. Cherian did a wonderful job reassuring me of his confidence and ability. My care team, specially nurse Ashley, was incredibly supportive and comforting as I was visibly anxious and emotional. I felt very cared for by everyone who assisted me and overall it was a very comfortable experience. I am eternally grateful for each nurse and dr who came to see me before the surgery giving me detailed descriptions of what they would be doing and how they would assure a smooth operation. All of my questions were answered and I felt adequately informed and cared for throughout the entire process. Thank you to my whole team but specifically nurse Ashely, I was truly touch by her compassion and empathy towards my situation.

I arrived at Virginia Baptist on 8/19/26 for an outpatient procedure to have my gallbladder removed. Immediately upon starting the procedure Dr. Lilly found that my gallbladder was badly inflamed and loaded with gallstones and sludge, which was the complete opposite of the ultrasound results I'd received in early July. He & his team then spent 2+ hours making sure that the failing organ that had been causing me distress for months was dissected and removed. I was pretty bummed out learning that I was going to have to spend a night in the hospital but I quickly found out that I had a great care team. My RN & aide on day one, Jessa & Mary, took great care of me. And the night shift care team, Agnes and La-Tamra, were both great and very patient with a very tired and sore man. The lab tech who came by for early AM labs performed one of the least painful hand sticks I've ever experienced and it was such a relief not to have a bruised hand like I end up having so often. On day two Jessa was back to look after me along with a different aide, Michael. They were both so kind and took such great care of me throughout the day. The whole care team definitely made an unexpected hospital stay a great experience and I can't express enough how thankful I am for them, their kindness, their good energy and professionalism.

They need more Doctors and Mental health staff!!
