I don't have any drug or alcohol problems thank the good Lord but I just want to give a big shout for Sarah who actually takes the time to listen to me and my concerns about medicines and stuff. She is the only one that I absolutely trust with my issues. Thank you to the great staff there too,they're the greatest!!!

Even though I have no addiction issues: (Father God's Love, Jesus' saving grace, Breathing, eating,sleeping, music, my cat, coffee and cigars), Sarah is very caring and very concise with process and progress of all needs and always listens to medication needs and fills them with my particular needs in mind, keeping me from having to go to the pharmacy too many times. Great practitioners!! Highly recommend!!

Good people to work with

I found David after hitting a rock bottom point in my marriage and personal life. He has helped me heal old trauma, learn essential new skills like communicating my wants and needs, and understanding my husbands perspective. David is truly brilliant. I’ve achieved with him in 6 months more than I ever did in a decade of therapy. He’s helped me get to the root of so many issues I’ve had so they can truly be healed. He is the best marriage therapist - I highly recommend him for both marriage and individual counseling.

I can’t say enough about this place. David is a phenomenal therapist and has helped me get my life back to something manageable and filled with hope and joy. He let me make the decision to change my life and along the way showed me new ways to think. I will be going here for years to come!

I had a great experience with New Choices. I'm in the process of getting my driver's license restored after some years of suspension, and substance / alcohol abuse counseling was one of the requirements. I decided to join the group sessions that David holds several times per week and was thoroughly impressed with his level of investment and dedication to his clients. For people in crisis, here is an individual with many years of experience helping people clean up the wreckage they've created in their lives and figure out how to stabilize the crisis and make the changes necessary to get started on a path of recovery. Highly recommend.

Accountability is what held me back from being the best me. I needed that to keep me on the best path. They hold you accountable for your actions there, ppl may not like that and want to be mad when csught up, but you get what you put into life. Also, NONE OF THE PICTURES ARE FROM THE BTC lol. Idk why the didn't use real photos. Eh it's all good though.

This place has had some of the best fist fights I’ve ever seen! You can watch some entertaining things while waiting to dose. Then if you need a little extra kick you find it right out in the parking lot! Good times, good times! I never wanted to quit anyway I just wanted a cheap, reliable dealer and I have finally found her. I traded a weedeater last week for my dose. You can’t just do that anywhere!

The only reason I’m giving a 5 star is because of staff. Stephanie is hands down the best director that place has ever seen. We have to understand that this clinic is a heavy traffic clinic and at times hands are tied and things don’t go as we want. But when I tell you that Stephanie will go out of her way, each and every time, to help you get to where you need to be, I mean she will literally drop what’s she’s in the middle of to take care of YOU. She really took my home/personal life into consideration and I couldn’t be more grateful. When things were already rough she made it just a little more tolerable. To feel like someone cared about me as a person and not a client is what makes this clinic worth continuing my recovery journey at. So thank you to Stephanie, Heidi, Amy, Cassandra and the new front desk receptionist, for always listening, being on my side and making it happen!

Spero Health is hands down the best addiction treatment center. I’ve been to over 5 different places to be able to get subs, and I’m blown away at the quality of service Spero provides!! I drove 1.5 hours to get here and it’s worth it. The office is quiet, clean, smells good, and plays good music. The staff are so incredibly attentive and kind. They make me feel like I’m an active participant in my treatment, like I’m the one making the decision on what I want to do. Every dollar I spent and every mile I drove to get here was worth it!

Lewis Gale MC was the best place for me during a crisis 9 months postpartum I was voluntary and quickly DTO’d due to not being able to articulate I was uncomfortable with the room I was in. Due to COVID no visitors were allowed, however, hopefully if not ideal patients can at least FaceTime/messenger family The one time the third floor went outside I don’t recalling grass, I believe it was all pebbles. When I transitioned to the second floor, there was a window in the room and we were able to go to the gym for group. I would hope that on the weekends, the third floor gets to visit the gym, I did not during my stay in 2023. The staff on the third floor, for the exact people, I need in my life to get help at that time. Essentially angels to me.

Saw some bad reviews, only a few from people who were actually there. I met three ladies in outside a rural king store in Indiana. Talked with them and heard their stories and they touched my heart. Invited them to come to our Church and give their stories and they did. Had some sad beginnings but they all thanked God for what He and the program were doing in their lives. Our congregation gave them over 2000 dollars and we have not regretted it. They state up front that they are a Christian based organization, so if you are not ready to let God take control it is not for you. Our granddaughters mother is a struggling addict, now in jail. Am praying she can go and let's God guide her life.

I have found more than a supportive community. This is a place for family to grow and be united. I was lost in addiction for so many years that it took the help of God and woman and men edifying and pushing to the feet of Jesus. More than thankful!!!

Rip doc Jackson and if u do what unsupported to u will never get drugs from the street again and u will not have no we're near the urges and craving u have n past and if u do then u still can't use cause u took ur meds.and it a clinic unsaid 90 plus days but I been goin 4 years and not 1 relaspe and I was addict if the worst kind shoot up my kids lunch money type dude now I got car from Shelor and and working kids at hone like I said life saver

This positive review is long overdue. The skill building run by along with its partnership with the therapists and the good working relationships amongst them and the autistic services provided for children I appreciated at the time and their was a sense of warmth 😊 and gratitude but not until I left the area did I fully realize how special the treatment was and how great it is that you use state and federal funding for the betterment of society. How grateful I am that I was fortunate enough to be wrapped up with so many gifted people in the right line of work for the right reasons while my children were young. How little at the time did I realize how much my happiness was due to the support provided by places like yours. To those of you that are Christians... keep fighting the good fight and keep using your many wonderful talents to bring a sparkle to the eye of the vulnerable

Dr Reedy and Dr Ali are the best! They stay with you during a crisis (over the phone ) If need. I recommend family insight for children and adults. I feel you won't find a better place.

Top quality mental health care

Very friendly and listened to my situation. A guy named Scott asked me about my sisters situation. He asked questions to understand more about her. I was very appreciative of the help he was giving us and how he was going to try to get her the help she needed. Great place for me to talk to just to understand more about what I could do. Brian's Safehouse saved my life, hands down. I read a review stating that the treatment was ineffective, that was not my experience at all. Going to BSH is the most important decision I've ever made. Everything I lost in my addiction has been restored in just a few short years. I'm so thankful for the dedicated and attentive staff at BSH, who made me feel so welcome and loved from the day I arrived on campus. I tried several 30-day treatment programs in my home state of NC, but they did not work for me. I needed more help. The year long program, as hard as it was to commit to at the time, was just what I needed. A life mired in addiction is a hopeless existence if you're not willing to do anything about it. The outcomes are three as I see it: jail, death, or recovery. The decision is simple as look back on it. BSH can change the trajectory of your life, it did mine!

My son has been sober now for 8 years. Brian’s Safehouse changed him from a drug fiend to a tax-paying, loving man with a wonderful family. The staff at NRVCS(BLACKSBURG) are absolutely amazing and so is the Genoa pharmacy. If it wasn't for them my husband would be without his meds. I just want thank each and every one that works there for their understanding and courtesy. You guys rock!!

Very caring and great resources .

New River Valley Community Services have made my life so much better. I've been with them since 2008. I was a genuine basket case when I came here. Now I repair watches and clocks. And, I have found reason within my vise's. My temper used to control me. I can honestly say, this organization, and it's agents, have taught me that you can be happy. Even, when mental illness is prominent. I asked two or three counselors to marry me. But. They got depressed, and called the cops. Same thing my ex-wife did. Oh well. Life ain't no burger king. Just keep trying. Keep learning. And don't propose to social workers. They will call the cops. I know!!

Clean, polite, professional and friendly

Dr Packs office is wonderful. All of the staff are very caring as were the nurses before and after surgery.

All 3 appointments went quickly and everyone was very polite and professional.

I have been in with NRVCS since I can remember and I love the staff and the team and the treatment plan they all have given me so much I owe a lot to them I am grateful to be clean and sober and living positive and humbly thank you very much and you guys have very good communication kindness caring attitudes that they all pay attention to the details and they are very good people and they are very good at their jobs
