I truly believe Harmony Ridge has saved my life. I came in after a stay in a psychiatric hospital, believing that my time here would be along the same lines as the horrible treatment I received there. Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong. From the very first day, I realized that HR is client-centered, dedicated to recovery, and everyone on staff is fully invested in our success. For one thing, many of the staff are in recovery themselves, with several years clean. Because they've been where we are, I feel like this takes the level of care up a notch. Here at HR, the clients live in cabins, the food is great, we get to experience nature daily, and all the services are individualized. During my stay the staff to client ratio was excellent, ensuring we had individualized care. My treatment team was always accessible, and I felt heard and respected. I'd especially like to thank Tonya Harris, my case manager, Charlie, Sam in HR, and all the BHTs who worked with me every day.

Today was my first visit and it was a pleasant one. Autumn and Christine were very polite and helpful. I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee while filling out my paperwork. Then talked with Autumn and Christine so they could give me a urine screen and then check my vitals before visiting with the computer screen for a few minutes waiting for Dr. Sheri to get to me. The computer freezing up while talking with the doctor was the only thing that didn't run smoothly as far as I could tell. That in itself is pretty amazing considering they were not using their normal offices and reception area due to busted pipes in the rooms above them. I really appreciate that they remained patient, polite and funny while obviously working in a busy stressful situation. Thanks again Autumn, Christine and Dr. Sheri.

Medmark most definitely saved my life. When the doctor decided he wasn't giving me my pain medicine any longer because he didn't want to get in trouble (this was 2019) and I didn't know what to do since I have chronic pain from several severe bone breaks. So I called medmark and on my first day of treatment I wasn't worried anymore. I've been going here for over 5 years almost 6 now and they have never made me feel bad for anything they have been nothing but caring and supportive. I really thlnk they have saved my life and lots of other lives as well.

Within the past year I have received VA benefits for a service related disability. I began going to the Beckley VA Hospital soon afterwards.
Before receiving my benefits I had always used private insurance and seen private Doctors with mixed results and experiences.
I also have friends and relatives that are veterans living in other states that have had bad experiences with VA clinics and Hospitals where they live.
I am writing this review from my heart to let as many people as I can to know the Hospital staff here are the best people I have ever dealt with when it comes to healthcare. I’ve never had a bad experience. The Nurses, Doctors, Staff personnel and all other employees are hands-down the absolute best I’ve ever had to deal with. Whenever I call or visit them I know I’m going to be given the absolute best care I can get anywhere!

I was traveling through the area when a sudden (and very painful) medical issue came up. I’m a veteran but hadn’t yet signed up for VA care, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked into the ER—honestly, my expectations were low. But wow, was I surprised.
From check-in to triage to treatment, the entire experience was outstanding. Everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and efficient. I was ambulatory (just in a lot of pain) and they treated me very promptly. The doctor quickly diagnosed the issue, got me into radiology, and I had answers fast. I was on my way with relief and a plan.
Truly blown away by the level of service and compassion. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such great care of veterans. I hope someone in leadership sees this…they all deserve recognition (and a raise!).

These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself!

I have been in recovery with methadone for 9 years .I drive a hour and half to go to Harrisburg the staff truly cares it's not just a paycheck. like so many other clinics I have been to alot of them that dont care and never even talk to you it's sad but true! Alot of the staff in Harrisburg are in recovery so they chose there job and completed lots of schooling! To help us thanks to this treatment facility I've learned so much more the staying clean and not withdrawing they have change my life my I have a 6,5 and 2 year old with cyrobol palsy and wonderful husband ! Thank you Harrisburg treatment center staff for helping me be the person I could be and making my family happy.

This place is full of well meaning caregivers. Things really changed since the administration changed this year. They are 3.5 hours out of the way for me, but I still prefer my primary care here.

I was a resident here for one year, and they really mad the difference, now I am a new person, and also I made a lot of friends in this place and we still keep in touch, this friendship helped me to face my problems. Prestera is a wonderful mental health organization that serves the state of WV. As a CCBHC they pride themselves in giving quality care to every individual who walks through the door. There are programs that can assist with anything from severe mental health issues to social needs such as housing, and obtaining food stamps. Each department works together as a team and coordinates with other departments to ensure continuity and competent care.
