This place is amazing!!! It doesn’t even feel like a facility, they helped me so much and you become family with the other clients. The staff are amazing at what they do and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my journey of recovery! Wyoming recovery is they best place to go by far and I think it’s so amazing that they let you still interact with the community and not feel like your locked down all the time and they give you the chance to get away for a few hours on the weekend! Got financially discharged after 10 days because my insurance was not verified for the entire visit. They did not do their due diligence and properly verify my insurance. They did not fight or appeal it, they just asked me to leave. Not only was I mortified, I was also left broke and still broken. I cashed out my 401k to go to this rehab, and paid the deductible for my plan which was either $7500 or $10,000. I trusted them to help me in my journey to sobriety but instead they added to my list of traumatic events and sadly I am still fighting to that same goal. They did not care about me as a person, they only seen me as a dollar and when I read the reviews it makes me mad that I was not extended this warm caring that so many are talking about. I tried to leave a BBB complaint or review but this facility doesn't participate so the next best way to make sure I can help to make it never happen again is an accurate review.

I give my life to this place. I came here in July 2025. I was lost. I lost my family. I lost the ability to live in society. I’d spent most of my time behind bars the past couple years, drugs had taking everything from me! Coming to Narconon I learned how to accept a lot of the things that I’ve done, to the people I’d hurt and to myself. I gained the ability to move forward, to confront a lot of the issues and become myself again. The new live detoxification help get all the residual out of my body and give me a healthy start so that I can move forward in the next part of the course. The objective course taught me how to be patient to not act on old behavior but to truly be there and to confront all situations in my life! And last, but not least life skills gave me tools to further my recovery to live with conditions to understand that I was still liability. They gave me formulas to move forward in my life to have a better chance at succeeding in my recovery. This place has changed my life dramatically. I’ve received my family back. This place saved my best friend's life. Almost 2 years ago she decided to go to Narconon. It was the hardest decision she ever made and the hardest thing she has ever done. It changed her in ways she only prayed for. She has always been a fighter. But now, she is strong in such a way that she doesn't constantly need to fight. She faces everything head-on. She has a life she never thought was possible. She found herself here and she began to love herself. She found who she was always meant to be. She has a love for life she has never had. She is 22 months sober now and the happiest and more at peace than I have ever seen her.

I’ve had a great deal of exposure to recovery-focused businesses/programs and this was by far my best experience. Betty Jo, Alisha, and Ceana at the Fort Collins office truly understand the assignment, and treat everyone with respect and genuine care. They create an atmosphere that is both comfortable and solution-focused, which is a very difficult thing to do - a labor of love to say the least. Visited Audiology for new hearing aids a couple days ago. I was attended by a young lady named Abby. First of all, when she came out to the waiting area to get me she spoke in a voice loud enough for me to hear. She is the first person in any VA Audiology clinic I've met that has done so. I would think that in Audiology it would be a routine thing to speak in a louder voice. Sadly, it's not.
Abby was quite competent and the fitting went very well.
As for the VAMC itself, it's nice enough.

This place saved my life. The entire staff is incredible and I quickly built relationships with everyone. And I could go on and on about my counselor Lindsey. She’s incredible, literally the only person in my life I look forward to talking to twice a week. She’s hands down my absolute favorite person ever. She goes out of here way and makes my recovery a priority. I’ve never had a support system like this and it’s the best feeling.

Fire Mt saved my daughters life. She was 15 when she went in, and had had 2 suicide attempts before Fire Mt.. My daughter was diagnosed with severe ptsd. from some things that tragically happened to her as a baby and beyond my control. The therapists at Fire Mt explained to her what her ptsd was, and helped her while she was going through it. The food was super healthy and my daughter learned so much. Although she did run after 4.5 months, (which I was upset about because Fire Mt is a once in a lifetime opportunity for any kid), she is doing so much better because of Fire Mt. She still eats well, because she learned that eating well made her feel better there, and she tells people how much Fire Mt really helped her. She complained to me on the phone while she was there but when she reflects upon her time at Fire Mt now she says it was the best thing I ever did for her. I am forever grateful to Fire Mt for their expertise in handling her and for all the staff. There were a few issues I was not thrilled about ; I was very upset that Fire Mt would not take my daughter back after she ran, but the good far outweighs any bad and the time my daughter spent there was life changing. I am forever grateful that Fire Mt. exists. My daughter left last July of 2020 and it is a year later that I am giving a review because I could not find the words. These people go above and beyond. My daughter is now a straight A student. I dont think she would have survived without the intervention of Fire mt.

Fire Mountain truly changed my life for the better. Not only did I receive the diagnosis that would forever change the way I went about my struggles, but I met amazing people that inspire me. FMRTC changed my life. I finished the program not knowing how I would survive once I left, but it turned out that internal conflict wasn’t something necessary. Everyone that I had met there, including the other residents, helped me find my new perspective on life, especially my amazing therapist. There are most certainly hard days and now, I know how to manage them and keep living the best life I can because of what they’ve taught me. I was able to move out and continue my undergrad and hope to one day become a psychotherapist myself. But as of now, I am a behavioral therapist at 18 years old. I never thought I would see the day I would be able to help people and use the struggles I went though as motivation, unable to see that there was a future in store for me, but here I am, following my passions. I hope to one day be able to return the favor of everything FM did for me and to go back to beautiful Estes and work for them.

I had the honor and privilege of spending time with the community at VOA while in Wyoming. I have never felt so welcomed by staff and clients. Samantha the clinical director went out of her way to fill me with as much knowledge as possible during my short stay. Beth is a godson to the community. I was in awe when the clients shared their stories with me and watched them participate in there own recovery. This place is magical! Northern Wyoming has been the best thing that has happened in my life. Between the therapists and the peer specialists there I have been able to find a new way of living and remaining sober. Even when I have made mistakes they have stuck right by my side making sure that they never gave up on me. If it wasn't for the help I've received I have no idea where my life would be but I know the quality of it would be no where near where it is today.

I have actively tried to recover from addiction for more than 10 years. Southwest Counseling was my 7th attempt at treatment. I failed to get what I needed to recover from 6 previous treatment centers across the country. Countless thousands of dollars were spent in an attempt to relieve my suffering from Alcoholism. It wasn’t until attending the Therapeutic Community Program at Southwest Counseling Service (S.C.S) that a solution was found. I can unequivocally and without a doubt say that S.C.S has saved my life. This program works. If you or a loved one is suffering from addiction I highly recommend S.C.S. be your first and likely only place to receive assistance in overcoming the effects of this illusive disease. Through the program I was able to discover the underlying cause of my ailment and more importantly how to navigate life without the need of substances to make life more bearable. It is in fact a difficult program, but a difficult problem demands a complex solution and is well worth the short term discomfort to achieve lifelong happiness. I only wish someone had ushered me to S.C.S sooner, I know a lot of heartbreak and suffering could have been spared. MY OLD MENTAL DOCTOR RECIEVED A 10 Star from me.The lady at the front desk on College Hill who was the secratary admission clerk receives A 5 star.The counselor receives a 1 star.The Bupropian is Working Doctor.The ladies at ankeny And whoever closed my case without sending me a letter or assuring I was contacted receive A 1 star.THE TREATNENT CENTER FINALLY RECIEVES A 10 STAR .That's after A 4 year wait. THE BUPRION WELLBUTRIN WORKS Mental DOCTOR .I'm still using old meds that you prescribed to me that are expired from 2016.Now I need a smoking cessation that does not do anything like a sugar pill.I HAVE BEEN TAKING DAILY MY OLDEST MEDS FIRSTWELLBITRIN 300 LIKE YOU SAID.Thank You.But now I am suffering from post traumatic stress and stress and anxiety. I WONT TAKE THE SEROQUEL THATS WHY THE BUPROPIAN DIDNT WORK .I don't even get headaches from the wellbutrin.It doesn't do anything but stop my hunger. HELLO Its 2022.I am ok.
