I moved to Polk County, AR. about one year ago! I came here from another state, which I won't mention! I have been a patient at Veterans Affairs for about 20 years, and I have been to several VA clinics and hospitals. Without a doubt, the Mena VA Clinic is the best VA clinic I have ever been to!! Every, single, person I have met at this clinic has gone over and beyond to welcome me as a new patient, and I am grateful for your kindness and professionalism!! I was admitted for pneumonia, low grade fever and whelps all over my body. My wife brought me into the ER in a wheelchair due to dizziness and weakness. The ER got me admitted quickly and the ER staff began to immediately assess my well being and symptoms. Even though there was a sudden influx of several more patients into ER, the staff took vitals, blood, and X ray of my lungs and determined I needed a CT scan. They kept my wife apprised of results. I was moved to Gen Surg where I stayed for 5 days. The staff on that floor communicated and worked as a team to not only treat my pneumonia effectively, but the other patients as well. The EOMC may not have sparkling painted walls, but it is a Community Hospital that has caring, professional staff, clean rooms and good food. Although the hospital may not be able to treat every ailment, the hospital staff knows their limits and will send patients to larger hospitals if that is the need. They are a part of Poteau’s community and they serve us well.

We had our family member that had to stay a couple days in the hospital on med surge and let me tell you the staff there was absolutely wonderful! Nurses were so supportive and kind! The nurse Bethany and the CNA Kalli were so sweet and kind and showed what real care and compassion is even when she was afraid of being alone because being hospitalized is no fun! She stated they treated her like family and took away the fear of being alone and that speaks volumes and shows there is still kindness and compassion in the healthcare profession! Thank you guys greatly! We love our EOMC hospital in Leflore county!

I was recently there for a two night stay. Aside from the ER registration lady being inattentive and less than friendly my stay was very comfortable. The ER nurses, floor nurses, aides, and the APRN Ms.Davis were all extremely caring and thoughtful to myself and my family. Being hospitalized is not on anyone’s to do list but the staff made it as comfortable as possible.

Absolutely wonderful experience with Leslie Hughes and her nurse (cannot remember her name im sorry) very thoughtful, thorough, warm, professional. The woman who did my labs also was awesome. Thank you! I need to add that Redbird dental clinic is absolutely wonderful. Dr. Beavers and also the dentist i usually see (young woman with red hair) are so professional and kind and extremely good at what they do. I absolutely love Dr. Dalai. He has put the time & work in no matter what road blocks we hit. I’ve fought many demons that he has helped me understand. I couldn’t have done it without him and his amazing staff.. shoutout to Bri and all the other nurses who put up with my horrible anxiety. They all pitch in to help, I’ve even had the wonderful chance to meet the officer manager who isn’t afraid to jump in there and help with patients. I look forward to my visits every time and that says a lot about someone who doesn’t like to leave the house. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the staff.

Our family had a wonderful experience with Rivendell. My son first received care through their acute program and later returned for their sub-acute program. From the beginning, I felt that his treatment team listened to my concerns and included me in decisions regarding his care. I especially appreciated how willing the medical team was to work with me to find a medication plan that I was comfortable with and that was beneficial for him. His therapists, counselors, and staff also spent a great deal of time teaching him practical skills for managing his emotions, communicating appropriately, and handling difficult situations in healthier ways. Since returning home, the difference has been remarkable. He is actively using the tools and coping skills he learned at Rivendell in his everyday life. His emotional regulation, behavior, communication, and ability to work through situations have all been wonderful to see. Most importantly, he came home with skills that didn’t stay within the walls of the program, he is actually putting them into practice. As a parent, seeing that growth has meant more than I can express. We are incredibly grateful to the therapists, counselors, medical team, and staff who invested their time and effort in helping him. Thank you for giving our family support, guidance, and tools that continue to make a positive difference in his life.

I’ve worked in juvenile treatment/mental health services for over 20 years in Arkansas and Texas. . I chose the Guidance center for my own family’s mental health needs. I’ve worked at the acute mental health hospital in Fort Smith, numerous DHS facilities in Arkansas, I’ve been a parole officer, and I’ve worked collaboratively with patients that were also attending the Guidance center. When the need for mental health services came up in my personal life, The Guidance Center was the only place I was taking my child to. Provider S. Posey has been and is amazing with youth. Everyone, from the two very nice ladies at the front desk to therapist and providers I’ve engaged with, have all been amazing. Thank you all for making a difference.

I have always had great service but this morning going in at 4 o’clock in the morning for mild hives. They were so understanding and they got right on it. I wasn’t in there no longer than 30 minutes. I graduated on June 18th 2025. Yes the program is tough & many don't understand the process of all the rules but sometimes tough love and structure is needed. The staff are amazing people who really do care. They represent love and you see God working through them to help all the ladies! It's not an easy job or calling but God uses them to transform life's. Most of these life's are in some type of trouble or turmoil! And Freedom House helped me set my focus back to where it needed to be & relieved me of my troubles! So thank you all & I love you all for everything you've done & are still doing!

I came into the program completely defeated I was very bad on drugs with no hope and just empty inside I knew I had to change or I was going to die or be in prison and never be apart of my kids life. Since being at Freedom House I’m no longer bound by addiction and I’m able to be a positive safe mom for my children and since completing the program I stayed to serve at Freedom House as an intern and God has truly changed my life and my destination here! This program is the best place if you want to truly be set free! ✝️

I was a student at Freedom House almost 5 years ago , and I returned to do restoration after completion. Freedom House saved my life. The Holy Spirit is in that house. There is peace unspeakable there and true love from the staff. I learned how to become a women after God's own heart while I was there. I will never forget my time at Freedom House Adult and Teen Challenge.
