Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau, Oklahoma, is a small community hospital equipped to treat most conditions and emergencies. For all other scenarios patients are transported to the closest facility treating the patient’s ailment. The hospital does not accept Medicaid. I was admitted for pneumonia, low grade fever and whelps all over my body. My wife brought me into the ER in a wheelchair due to dizziness and weakness. The ER got me admitted quickly and the ER staff began to immediately assess my well being and symptoms. Even though there was a sudden influx of several more patients into ER, the staff took vitals, blood, and X ray of my lungs and determined I needed a CT scan. They kept my wife apprised of results. I was moved to Gen Surg where I stayed for 5 days. The staff on that floor communicated and worked as a team to not only treat my pneumonia effectively, but the other patients as well. The EOMC may not have sparkling painted walls, but it is a Community Hospital that has caring, professional staff, clean rooms and good food. Although the hospital may not be able to treat every ailment, the hospital staff knows their limits and will send patients to larger hospitals if that is the need. They are a part of Poteau’s community and they serve us well.

We had our family member that had to stay a couple days in the hospital on med surge and let me tell you the staff there was absolutely wonderful! Nurses were so supportive and kind! The nurse Bethany and the CNA Kalli were so sweet and kind and showed what real care and compassion is even when she was afraid of being alone because being hospitalized is no fun! She stated they treated her like family and took away the fear of being alone and that speaks volumes and shows there is still kindness and compassion in the healthcare profession! Thank you guys greatly! We love our EOMC hospital in Leflore county!

I was recently there for a two night stay. Aside from the ER registration lady being inattentive and less than friendly my stay was very comfortable. The ER nurses, floor nurses, aides, and the APRN Ms.Davis were all extremely caring and thoughtful to myself and my family. Being hospitalized is not on anyone’s to do list but the staff made it as comfortable as possible.

What can I say, therapists are like a box of chocolates. Most are okay but only a few are really good. Chevy is that few.... I was in the mental health industry for years and finally have needed it myself through some struggles, seeing both sides of the spectrum I'm pretty appreciative of him and what he does for others. He pays extreme attention to detail and will likely know you before you even explain yourself all the way. He CARES about his individual patients, to a level I haven't seen with some of my other therapists in the past. He's always more than willing to work with you on timing and scheduling. If you find yourself needing some mental health support this is the place to go.

As far as the opioid dependence side of this clinic, this place is horrible and cares NOTHING about really seeing people get better other than a couple desk workers maybe. I’d highly recommend requesting any provider EXCEPT Michelle as she is a liar and has no qualms about ruining you. For my random drug screens, I used the mouth swabs for many reasons. I Always wondered why my Clonazepam never showed up on them and asked the nurse OR Doctor (Michelle) every time and it was just blown off like nothing. Until, I come in one day and the director is in Michelle’s office with her waiting for me. Michelle says they are changing things and all patients now have to sign this form agreeing to not take other controlled substances while under their care. I signed it. She then proceeded to call my primary and tell him she thinks I’m giving away or selling my anxiety meds as they do not show up on drug screens. I was livid and left for a month, went back and requested a different provider and found out while I was gone, they did away with the mouth swabs due to not reporting accurately. I also found out that paper I signed was not a form everybody had to sign, it was a Bahavior contract, basically a strike one in a 3 strikes you are out system. I was at this place 100% voluntarily to get better for my family, I begged, pleaded and cried for help and was only always treated like a junkie. Particularly, Michelle’s lack of genuine empathy or care for her patients and constant lies and un professionalism should not be tolerated ANYWHERE. I will never go back. I wonder how many people have died under their watch simply because they didn’t TRULY care.

I have been a patient here for several years. The staff is amazing, encouraging, and supportive. The rude lady at the dosing window (mentioned in other reviews) hasn't worked there for a long time. The ladies working the dosing window now are both very sweet and friendly. If tou go in to be assessed , beware - You're going to have to be in real withdrawal when you go in for the first time. I don't mean 'trust me I feel like crap' withdrawal, I mean 'puking and shitting on yourself, soaked with sweat but freezing cold, shaking, eyes watering, nose running, clearly obvious' withdrawal. It really looks like the majority of the negative reviews are from potential patients who were unwilling to fully cooperate. Thank you Angela, Amy, Bree, and everyone at Tulsa Comprehensive Treatment Center!

This is such an awesome place to go to! I’ve been going here for almost two years and the staff and counselors at this location are just simply amazing! The nurses at the windows, the amazing staff at the front desk, and all the way to back to the director and Doctor of this clinic are absolutely the most down to earth, friendliest people I’ve ever met! If you have a strong mind and you really want better for yourself I highly recommend this clinic is the best for you! CTC has absolutely been an amazing experience for me and will continue to be! Thank you CTC & staff for all that you do for your patients, you guys are amazing in many different ways!

When it comes to this sort of thing there are always going to be stressful days, and hard times, but this is a great clinic with good people and the environment feels safe. The ladies in the front are awesome, and are always kind and understanding and they have bright smiles even when it’s early in the morning. Angela is so easy to vibe with and she has a great sense of humor and a personality anyone can relate to. Ty (Theia) is an amazing counselor who is also very easy to vibe with and talk to, and that’s a big deal when it comes to being able to talk to counselors. She’s someone you feel like you can be honest with and be able to talk about any potential bad times and you won’t feel shamed or judged when talking to her. Cheryl is also amazing with great style and she will ease your mind when it’s time for a needle prick for labs. Thank you everyone at CTC for working hard every morning for us! 💚 *Also a shout out to Maria! We love seeing your bright, happy, kind face in the mornings! *And a shout out to Bree, I watched her go out of her way to give a woman a needed pair of shoes because she was without, and it was definitely an act of kindness that should be recognized!

Narcanon Arrowhead is an amazing, caring, no pressure facility thay cares about the individual and not the choices made to get them there. They work on cleansing the body of toxins then work on how to make better choices. If the student is willing to put in the work, they will show you tools to work with and work with you to become a smarter person about life choices. I will never be able to thank them enough for their patience, guidance, being available to answer our questions, ease our worries, provide updates, and give us our son back. He is with us because of the caring staff!

Jack Brown Center helps Native American juveniles to stop an active addiction while learning to live and cope without the source for the addiction. The staff that was there during my stay was an exceptional group of people. A day is always busy with a large variety of activities such as basketball, kickball, weight lifting, trust fall, disc golf, 12 step meeting's, chess, billiards, Native American chants, going in a Cherokee(I think) sweat lodge, help cooking meals once earned, learning to sew, and my favorite game we referred to as, hoccer, which involved a massive 5' or 6' yoga like ball. At the time I didn't always see it, but the rules were reasonable and helpful such as room had to stay clean, bed was made daily and one form of discipline for breaking rules was to write out a given sentence about the infraction many times. I was even allowed to paint the Choctaw nation seal on the wall while there, although my time was done before I was able to finish so hopefully someone else did. This changed my life drastically and I am always thankful for my experience at the Jack Brown Center!

I was given the gift of being a residential patient at Monarch the summer of 2017. I was finally ready to begin practicing honesty, open mindedness, and willingness. Monarch gave me the gift of time for sobriety, clarity, and the TOOLS to BEGIN my recovery. I am eternally grateful for my time there. The staff shared their personal experiences, strenght and hope...which is unparallelI. They were honest and direct with me. They helped teach me living skills verses survival skills. I still am PRACTICING the principles of my recovery in ALL of my affairs, one day at a time. I no longer live in the black, white, or grey. My life is technicolor.
