I was admitted for pneumonia, low grade fever and whelps all over my body. My wife brought me into the ER in a wheelchair due to dizziness and weakness. The ER got me admitted quickly and the ER staff began to immediately assess my well being and symptoms. Even though there was a sudden influx of several more patients into ER, the staff took vitals, blood, and X ray of my lungs and determined I needed a CT scan. They kept my wife apprised of results. I was moved to Gen Surg where I stayed for 5 days. The staff on that floor communicated and worked as a team to not only treat my pneumonia effectively, but the other patients as well. The EOMC may not have sparkling painted walls, but it is a Community Hospital that has caring, professional staff, clean rooms and good food. Although the hospital may not be able to treat every ailment, the hospital staff knows their limits and will send patients to larger hospitals if that is the need. They are a part of Poteau’s community and they serve us well.

We had our family member that had to stay a couple days in the hospital on med surge and let me tell you the staff there was absolutely wonderful! Nurses were so supportive and kind! The nurse Bethany and the CNA Kalli were so sweet and kind and showed what real care and compassion is even when she was afraid of being alone because being hospitalized is no fun! She stated they treated her like family and took away the fear of being alone and that speaks volumes and shows there is still kindness and compassion in the healthcare profession! Thank you guys greatly! We love our EOMC hospital in Leflore county!

I was recently there for a two night stay. Aside from the ER registration lady being inattentive and less than friendly my stay was very comfortable. The ER nurses, floor nurses, aides, and the APRN Ms.Davis were all extremely caring and thoughtful to myself and my family. Being hospitalized is not on anyone’s to do list but the staff made it as comfortable as possible.

Absolutely wonderful experience with Leslie Hughes and her nurse (cannot remember her name im sorry) very thoughtful, thorough, warm, professional. The woman who did my labs also was awesome. Thank you! I need to add that Redbird dental clinic is absolutely wonderful. Dr. Beavers and also the dentist i usually see (young woman with red hair) are so professional and kind and extremely good at what they do. I absolutely love Dr. Dalai. He has put the time & work in no matter what road blocks we hit. I’ve fought many demons that he has helped me understand. I couldn’t have done it without him and his amazing staff.. shoutout to Bri and all the other nurses who put up with my horrible anxiety. They all pitch in to help, I’ve even had the wonderful chance to meet the officer manager who isn’t afraid to jump in there and help with patients. I look forward to my visits every time and that says a lot about someone who doesn’t like to leave the house. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the staff.

I love that place. It's expensive, but so is drug addiction. We need more places like that in the river valley. I don't understand why we don't have them. If you were like me and looking for a miracle this is the place. If you want your sobriety you have to try. The staff there is super nice and willing to help you in any way they can. I’ve worked in juvenile treatment/mental health services for over 20 years in Arkansas and Texas. . I chose the Guidance center for my own family’s mental health needs. I’ve worked at the acute mental health hospital in Fort Smith, numerous DHS facilities in Arkansas, I’ve been a parole officer, and I’ve worked collaboratively with patients that were also attending the Guidance center. When the need for mental health services came up in my personal life, The Guidance Center was the only place I was taking my child to. Provider S. Posey has been and is amazing with youth. Everyone, from the two very nice ladies at the front desk to therapist and providers I’ve engaged with, have all been amazing. Thank you all for making a difference.

What can I say, therapists are like a box of chocolates. Most are okay but only a few are really good. Chevy is that few.... I was in the mental health industry for years and finally have needed it myself through some struggles, seeing both sides of the spectrum I'm pretty appreciative of him and what he does for others. He pays extreme attention to detail and will likely know you before you even explain yourself all the way. He CARES about his individual patients, to a level I haven't seen with some of my other therapists in the past. He's always more than willing to work with you on timing and scheduling. If you find yourself needing some mental health support this is the place to go.
