Absolutely wonderful experience with Leslie Hughes and her nurse (cannot remember her name im sorry) very thoughtful, thorough, warm, professional. The woman who did my labs also was awesome. Thank you! I need to add that Redbird dental clinic is absolutely wonderful. Dr. Beavers and also the dentist i usually see (young woman with red hair) are so professional and kind and extremely good at what they do. I love that place. It's expensive, but so is drug addiction. We need more places like that in the river valley. I don't understand why we don't have them. If you were like me and looking for a miracle this is the place. If you want your sobriety you have to try. The staff there is super nice and willing to help you in any way they can. What can I say, therapists are like a box of chocolates. Most are okay but only a few are really good. Chevy is that few.... I was in the mental health industry for years and finally have needed it myself through some struggles, seeing both sides of the spectrum I'm pretty appreciative of him and what he does for others. He pays extreme attention to detail and will likely know you before you even explain yourself all the way. He CARES about his individual patients, to a level I haven't seen with some of my other therapists in the past. He's always more than willing to work with you on timing and scheduling. If you find yourself needing some mental health support this is the place to go.

First time I’ve ever had to use the VA Emergency Room in Muskogee, and I have to say I was impressed. I went in for a dog bite to my hand that had happened about 72 hours earlier. I was checked in within about 15 minutes, got my vitals taken and wristband, and then waited about an hour and a half to get back to a room. They were extremely busy, though. A couple of veterans in the waiting room who had been there before even said it was the busiest they had ever seen it. Once they got me back, everything moved pretty quickly. The nurse took my vitals and the doctor came in shortly after. He had already reviewed my records, knew my tetanus shot was still good, looked at my hand, and explained what he wanted to do. They sent me over for X-rays and offered to wheel me over, but I told them I could walk. I signed in at X-ray and literally about a minute later they called me back. Got the X-rays done, walked back to the ER, and within probably 5–10 minutes the doctor had already reviewed them. He came back in, explained what they showed, what the plan was, prescribed me an antibiotic, and told me what to watch for and to come back if anything changed. The nurse brought my paperwork in, took my wristband off, and I headed down to the pharmacy. Turned in the prescription and within about two minutes I had my medicine and was walking out the door. I know the VA gets a bad rap from a lot of people, and I’m sure everyone has different experiences, but I can only speak about mine. For as busy as they were, I thought they did a great job. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, and seemed to genuinely care. Muskogee VA was on point for me. Definitely a five-star experience.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this office. From navigating TMS treatment and medication management, I have consistently felt supported, heard, and genuinely cared for. I absolutely love Dr. Dalai. He has put the time & work in no matter what road blocks we hit. I’ve fought many demons that he has helped me understand. I couldn’t have done it without him and his amazing staff.. shoutout to Bri and all the other nurses who put up with my horrible anxiety. They all pitch in to help, I’ve even had the wonderful chance to meet the officer manager who isn’t afraid to jump in there and help with patients. I look forward to my visits every time and that says a lot about someone who doesn’t like to leave the house. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the staff.

Three interactions with this hospital. All of them have been so helpful and kind. Of course there is bustle, and things need to get done, put everyone seems to be doing their best and treats you like a person rather than a number. The treatments have also been defective and as simple as they could be made. Thank you hospital staff!

I’m 29 now but when I went to jack brown it was a really good program we got to connect with our native heritage there stick ball sweat lodges Indian tacos etc at graduation I got a blanket I still I have to this day

Jack Brown Center helps Native American juveniles to stop an active addiction while learning to live and cope without the source for the addiction. The staff that was there during my stay was an exceptional group of people. A day is always busy with a large variety of activities such as basketball, kickball, weight lifting, trust fall, disc golf, 12 step meeting's, chess, billiards, Native American chants, going in a Cherokee(I think) sweat lodge, help cooking meals once earned, learning to sew, and my favorite game we referred to as, hoccer, which involved a massive 5' or 6' yoga like ball. At the time I didn't always see it, but the rules were reasonable and helpful such as room had to stay clean, bed was made daily and one form of discipline for breaking rules was to write out a given sentence about the infraction many times. I was even allowed to paint the Choctaw nation seal on the wall while there, although my time was done before I was able to finish so hopefully someone else did. This changed my life drastically and I am always thankful for my experience at the Jack Brown Center!

I’ve worked in juvenile treatment/mental health services for over 20 years in Arkansas and Texas. . I chose the Guidance center for my own family’s mental health needs. I’ve worked at the acute mental health hospital in Fort Smith, numerous DHS facilities in Arkansas, I’ve been a parole officer, and I’ve worked collaboratively with patients that were also attending the Guidance center. When the need for mental health services came up in my personal life, The Guidance Center was the only place I was taking my child to. Provider S. Posey has been and is amazing with youth. Everyone, from the two very nice ladies at the front desk to therapist and providers I’ve engaged with, have all been amazing. Thank you all for making a difference.
