Our loved one has now moved on to a sober-living home in another state for career-related reasons. While we wish he had chosen to stay longer and then continue with TARC’s sober-living program, which we understand is also very strong, we remain deeply grateful for the foundation TARC helped him build. Amazing place......if you have a loved one struggling with addiction, call them today! My son attended 4 months and is now at their sober living house. The staff is like family to him! They truly care about their patients and the families. It is a wonderful place.

At Recovery Village in Umatilla, Florida all my needs were met by the staff and my peers. I didn’t have expectations when I arrived here, so leaving with a solid treatment plan, all of my appointments made by Chris my case manager, and I completed all my assignments from my therapist. I have the shout out for my therapist, Barb, Kelly, who works in the kitchen, some BHT’s named Shannon, Candy, Sherrie, Roz, Dorian, Ron, Mary, and I’m sure there’s many more but I’m being rushed to finish the survey Lol. I’m going home right now feeling amazing and I’m ready to go to meetings work with a sponsor, etc. I thoroughly have been taught about the AA program. Things. I’ve consistently seen how dedicated this program is to providing thoughtful, client-centered mental health care. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Erica Rigsby in the field and she is a wonderful example of when true passion and compassion combine. Highly recommend this program for anyone!

I completed this program thanks to the nursing staff, Counselor Amber, Counselor Eliana, BHT Greg, and all the other dedicated hard workers here. The cleaning staff stole my sweatpants and T- shirt, that I was not too happy about. I enjoyed this program and it had a lot to offer.

This place is good. Shout out Josiah the head chef he makes really good food. Breakfast is good everything is. The therapist are good. This place really teaches more about science, the right side and left side of the brain. All the staff treated me well.

Its a nice facility, medical care is a little messed up but besides that its a wonderful place and campus 😊. They may change you're meds doses or just flat out not give you them a lot of people have left because of that. Shelly the clinical director can be a little passive aggressive and if you get on her bad side it can mess up most of you're stay here. Everyone else is wonderful Wades the best case manager and helped me with a lot and Matt my therapist is wonderful and has helped me work through a lot of issues. BRING BUG SPRAY!

The Refuge, specifically the therapist Deborah, has been a major blessing for me. As an 18 year old addict, I’ve been a mess from a young age. The Refuge offers a place of healing and unconditional love for any and everybody willing to do the work. This has been my third facility, and I’ve never made so much groundbreaking progress in so little time. If you are ready for sobriety and healing COME HERE!!!

Orlando Men’s Rehab changed my life. The staff truly cared, and the faith-based program helped me heal in ways I never thought possible. I didn’t just overcome addiction—I found purpose and hope again.

I had no idea what to expect going in here. This was my first time getting help for drugs and I was really nervous going in. I was even more anxious because the place is faith based,which was new to me. But the staff was nice and didn’t treat me like a screw up and the structure helped me feel normal. The food was better than I thought itd be and they had a decent gym. The whole program was pretty strict, but I get why and it helped me get more stable then I’ve been in a longtime.

I was a student at TC Orlando for 1 year and 5 days. During one of my first weeks in the program a lady at the car wash was kind enough to ask how we were doing that day and encouraged us by saying "remember there's no perfect program" and she was right. There's plusses and minuses to every aspect in life. I am not here to discuss what I thought was wrong with or right about TCO. I will say that many of the negative things I read in other Google reviews have been rectified and are no longer relevant. My aim in writing this review is that you will enter TCO eyes wide open and not be upset or surprised at what you do/don't find and will encounter God, graduate and maintain sobriety afterwards. Let me tell you what Teen Challenge Orlando has to offer Professional Services- If you require doctors visits or dental work, TCO offers transportation to and from appointments. Mentors provide regular opportunities for students to open up and talk about personal struggles. Amenities Kitchen/Cafeteria- Top of the line as far as rehabs go. All the coffee you can drink during breakfast but don't over do it. Meals are protein heavy, diverse and have a good amount of vegetables, essential for the brain's recovery on a chemical level. Stear clear of the sodas and limit your dessert intake or you'll get what's known as the TC 30 in your first 30 days. If not more... Dorms- Always cold but just in the way that you want. Mattresses- Par for the course. However, bring a $10 foam topper and you'll sleep like a baby, guaranteed. Closets- Each student gets half plus ample shelving space. There is a shed outback for shoes so the rooms don't stink and floors stay clean, 5 pair limit. Bathrooms- They are super clean and you'll never run out of hot water; plenty of sinks and showers. Usually no wait time for your morning shave. Remeber to be a gentleman and clean up after yourself. Your Mrs. or future Mrs. will appreciate this later. Laundry- They will have a couple of designated students assigned to laundry duty and your clothes will be washed and folded on a weekly basis. Gym- Outdoor, covered weight area with elliptical, free weights, multi-use lift machine, mat for stretching and a HUGE tire to flip around campus and compete with others for bragging rights! A half court for basketball and sandpit volleyball area. Sorry, no in-ground pool. This is rehab, not a resort. Need something? TCO has a massive thrift store. If you're lacking anything outside toiletries and socks/underwear all you have to do is fill out a slip and an intern or mentor will have you hooked up and "drippin" in a day or so. Library- Several hundred books ranging from addiction recovery strories to deep subjects of the Bible and personal growth. I read over 60 books during my time spent at TCO. The best part was a series of biographies about Christian heros of the faith. I read all of them. My one take away was this- Not a single one lived a boring, unfulfilled life once they fully surrendered It over to God and chose to walk in faith and obedience. The same can and WILL happen for you if you make that choice. Work Detail Monday 12-5, Tue, Thur, Fri, 9-5; Wed 9-4:30, Sat. 8-5 Usually done a little early to make it back for dinner. "What?! This sounds like a labor camp, not a rehab!!!" Well all your needs are provided for and "regular" people work 40 hrs a week. Think of it as a 12 months of retraining for when you get back out into the real world. You get to build up your work ethic without the pitfalls of spending a paycheck on drugs or alcohol. Furthermore Teen Challenge has over 1400 locations in 125 countries. Not all are financially self supporting. So the efforts put in here ensures that others receive help elsewhere. This is the first time I've been in a treatment center. The faculty is outstanding, 5 star. They care. Always courteous. My favorite nurse is a lady named Toni. She just has what it takes to make my mind go somewhere else than on my problems of the day. She keeps a close eye on everything going on and the clients as they pass her station. She recognizes symptoms and actually stops me to see if I need anything to help at that moment. She's a great listener and I will miss her so much after I leave to start my new life of freedom from drugs and alcohol and my daily overall mental health. I want to thank the people of Spencer's recovery for the fine work they do morning, noon and night to keep everyone comfortable and in good spirits. I would suggest to anyone having difficulty in daily life to seek help. It's here. They are here for you. I was in the worst stage of my life I was evicted from my home in Augusta ga and my wife passed away and facing homelessness with my two elderly dogs and was ready to give up I was lost in addiction, substance abuse combat related ptsd but here I found that I had a desire to not use or drink I know now I can trust again I was definitely lost in life but now I feel a I got a fresh start a new beginning a new chapter thanks to Dr. Pauls by the sea recovery the staff were amazing The people I met, Paul had the same desire to get better and thanks to Dr. Paul he was covering I was able to obtain four months recovery and looking forward to moving on to a healthier life.
