I wish I could give this more than five stars. I arrived at mending fences being open-minded. I had no idea the impact this would have on my life in such a positive way. I came to this looking for help for alcohol and found I really needed the help with mental health care. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings are so Serene and peaceful. There are no amount of words I could give for the gratitude I have for what this place is giving me back to me in my life. I am truly grateful. To me there is no amount of money that could ever give me what I retained here at mending fences. This place has been absolutely PRICELESS! I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe.
Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging!
From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night!
Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏
One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! One last thank you to all the staff, techs , therapists and Doctors who helped me 🙏🙏

Go to new season and I know it'll be the best thing you ever did they just continue to get better the new stuff is awesome The new coordinator He's on top of everything and my new counselor Melanie she just rocks it I don't know how I don't know how she has so much care for her patients and will work so hard for them and I like my last counselor but I've not seen this kind of devotion in a counselor besides Julio which I've discovered to be tremendously a helpful person in my life his groups just make you be able to get through the week and there's more than one reason to go to groups you know but the reason mainly is to stay clean and get clean and I called it a life changer now it's a game changer because it's completely changed the way I play my game and I get scared of change of new stuff but new seasons they've got it covered because they hire good people so no matter who you get you're in good hands. I can't recommend FRC enough. This organization has truly been a life-changer and life-saver for me.
My journey with FRC began in 2007 when I was a patient receiving care. I was at the lowest point in my life after years of substance use and a near fatal suicide attempt. Under the care of Dr. Teitelbaum, The support I found there was instrumental in introducing me to recovery, and I am incredibly grateful for the nearly 18 years of sobriety I have today because of that start.
To come full circle and later spend over 12 years working on the incredible FRC Team has given me a unique perspective. I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity to witness firsthand the profound, life-changing work that happens there every single day. My appreciation for FRC, its mission, and its dedicated staff is immense. Unfortunately, I am starting a new job in another city to be closer to my family, but I will always carry FRC with me.

"It works, if you work it, so work it, you're worth it!"
I came to the Florida Recovery Center a broken man, suicidal, no self-confidence, and a great lack of a sense of purpose and worth. Through intensive individual therapy, group therapy, recreation therapy, in-depth 12 Step assignments and application, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), a multitude of informative and illuminating lectures (medical, recreational, spiritual, relational), and a greatly supportive community of people all working on the same goal of sobriety and sanity, I have been able to begin my life anew.
I am now 90 days sober for the first time in 30 years thanks to FRC (Florida Recovery Center)!!!! I would not be alive to write this review had they not believed in me and, likewise, I had not believed and trusted the process.
YOU must surrender to the process, be vulnerable, and be willing to choose LIFE for yourself - a good life without dragging around the heavy burdens of guilt, shame, and regret.....BUT YOU have to be honest with yourself and them or it probably won't work.

I graduated the phoenix house in 2019. The program doesn't focus on Just addictions, but the behavior behind addictions. Unfortunately, most of the people that I went with did not make it because they did not want it bad enough. But out of multiple programs that i've been to, this one will have an everlasting impact on me And my life. I sincerely thank the staff for giving me the best fifteen months.I've ever had. I never have any issues getting my meds,
and there's rewards for attendance in group.

It’s hard leaving a review for this, but to any parents out there, I’m super thankful for The Vines and the staff there. Super communicative, if I had any questions they answered them. It was the most stressful and anxiety inducing week of my life having a child in there, but they were kind, helpful, and supportive providing the help my child needed. The nurses and staff went out of their way to get food to accommodate allergies. I’m thankful for the care and therapy received, and most of all that they were safe.

Metamorphosis literally saved my life.
I was court ordered to be at meta through drug court. The rules and 'tattling' is very contradictory to what addicts are used to. The purpose is to learn to hold other accountable for their actions. AA and NA did nothing for me. Bridgehouse did nothing for me. Meta was the only place to recognize what was causing me to use and address that.
I graduated in 2012. I am still clean. Almost 9 years now.
Recovery is different for everyone but hold on to the 'keeping secrets' and 'not snitching' behaviors of my using life wouldn't have helped me get this far.

I didn’t like the process when I first arrived. Holding each other accountable seemed a lot more like snitching or tattling than anything helpful. I felt like many things seemed conflict inducing at first for sure. I soon realized I was being provided a structure to implement better decision making during my time there and with that acquiring tools to take with me after leaving treatment. There’s nothing crazy about anything there in my opinion. The rules are the rules and there are consequences if you break them. They provide everything you need and then some. The staff is wonderful and really care about everyone there whether it’s voluntary or court ordered (majority were voluntary when I left a month ago). I needed to stay longer but had to leave due to circumstances at home that had to be addressed. I’ve been to treatment many times and I feel Meta has given me the very best chance to stay clean.I am a tough critic especially towards things that are stopping me from doing what I want. Meta is different for everyone but personally it’s the first place I would recommend to anyone.

Nurse Connie really went the extra mile to help me at a crucial point in my recovery. Mrs. Maxine was a fantastic 1 on 1 counselor and helped me achieve a spiritual awakening of the "educational variety" while working steps with a sponsor. Ms. Bobbie was a ray of sunshine and Mr. Randy was a wise mediator. Despite a rather unfortunate discharge it was overall a good experience. This place gives you a good opportunity. You got to be ready. And be mature, but if you reached that point and you seriously are ready I recommend this program. It's hard for someone who doesn't quite understand the addiction or just new to their addiction. It's a struggle but it's a great place for someone who is really ready

10/10. Great place , great staff , gives a lot of grace and much understanding. The director is wonderful as well as the counselors , spent 14 or so month in a the MIST program and was cared for , listened to , and helped beyond measure. Thankful for this place and those who helped me through my pregnancy , and sobriety.

I was one of the 1st set of girls from Rhode Island. I graduated camp in 1984. One of the best counselors was Pam.
The program changed me for the good. I remember meeting the Eckerd's at their beach house. Also they had made a commercial and filmed my group and I. So many canoe, hiking trips.. memories lasting a lifetime.
I've had a successful life due to the skills I learned at camp. Husband and I recently retired & ready to enjoy our grandchildren.

As a young girl growing up, this program saved Me. I am 37 now got a business that I love, kids that won't make the same mistakes as me, hopefully 🙏 😌. I really don't know where I would be right now if it wasn't for this programs help I was 13/14 when I attended this amazing program.. would love to visit 😍 😊 ☺️.. An share some of my experiences.

It was my first time taking my son there today. Sam connected with my son in a very meaningful way! He really genuinely seemed to care for his well being. That meant the world to my son and I. I don’t know how this place is still open. The staff is awesome but the company that owns Mending Fences and RGH (EMPOWER) was late paying their employees 2 different times while I was there. It was hard to see those hardworking people scared to death every other Friday that they would not get paid. They never complained, or said anything to the clients but you could hear it and this guy Tilman from RGH and this lady Milly would show up and lie to the staff. This could be a amazing place and the staff is amazing but the parent company is crap. The cable got shut off while I was there because they didn’t pay it and the food truck stopped coming. Dede, Christal, Olivia, Terry, James, Evelin, Kevin, and Joy I’m praying for you guys, you are amazing. Go Eagles!!!

Our loved one has now moved on to a sober-living home in another state for career-related reasons. While we wish he had chosen to stay longer and then continue with TARC’s sober-living program, which we understand is also very strong, we remain deeply grateful for the foundation TARC helped him build.
