The medical records department is very unprofessional, extremely rude and refuse to help. Social Security has sent 3 requests to the medical records department for paperwork to be filled out. After I received a call from SSI requesting that I reach out to medical records, so I did. Upon asking kindly to please fill this out for SSI, she verbally attacked me and told me to get on my meds and when Im feeling better to call her back and hung up on me. Then I called her back and she called the police on me for harassment. Since when does Medical Records run this facility? Why am I being informed to take my meds by a non-doctor and then hung up on because she did not want to be bothered with filling out time sensitive paperwork. This is the 2nd time this has happened with the same medical records employee. First, I lost my job because she refused to fill out FMLA papers. Now she is refusing to fill out SSI paperwork. Is this legal? Oh, and to top it off I was physically attacked in the parking lot and I had to call 911 for help as the staff did not get involved until I called. Ms. Terri & Dr.Menges are amazing and now because of the medical records employee it's up to her if Im permitted to continue to receive much required services. This is an outstanding facility, only a few staff members need to be replaced as they do not belong and are only there to take advantage of people who need help. When I first arrived, I was in one of the darkest places I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t see much hope, and I didn’t know if I would ever feel better. But during my time there, something changed. Little by little, through the patience, care, and dedication of the staff, I began to heal.The staff there were absolutely incredible. They weren’t just “doing their jobs they were friendly, fair, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, cared for, and respected. They created a warm and welcoming environment that felt safe, supportive, and encouraging. The events, the programs, and the way they connected with us made me feel at home, even though I knew it wasn’t my permanent home. They truly made it feel like a family, and that meant the world to me.Since leaving a year ago, my life has become better, stronger, and more powerful than ever before. The strength I found during my time at Northeast Florida State Hospital has carried me forward and helped me keep growing. I often think back to the staff, the experiences, and the kindness I was shown, and I can honestly say I miss them and everything they did to make us feel cared for. Lakeview was amazing, it saved my life. It felt like a vacation, Its practically a health resort. It was so peaceful and serene. I felt I was cared about when cared for, I felt like they were actually invested in my recovery rather than feeling like a number. From the nurses to the blue-shirts, the therapists, the kitchen staff... everyone was so nice and supportive. The food was amazing, honestly. The pool was nice, gym was immaculate. Yoga instructors were awesome. We went for surfing lessons, went out to a horse farm to pet and feed some little horses. You have a massage therapist come in, and someone to come in for haircuts. Theres even a little zen meditation room. The lake on the men's side is full of life, little ducks and geese, big bass and turtles you can feed - although I don't think you're supposed to, anyways. The facility is nice, its got a real pretty view, good food, great staff. I cant imagine how they could go wrong. If I had to complain, the apartments, the PHP after the inpatient - the last period before you graduate... the apartments kind of sucked, but the comradery, the fellowship there.. it was a great place to transition back into the real world. And the girl at the window that took the cigarette and vape orders seemed like she was always having a bad day... but still. This place is amazing. I love Lakeview. I brag about my experience there. I was there during Lakeview's infancy, when there was only one building, a couple of picnic tables, a basketball hoop and a beat up volleyball net. I can tell you, with great conviction, their program works. Lakeview gave me the tools I needed to learn how to live a sober life. I still use those tools today, and I have been sober for just over 23 years now. I wish I could come down there and speak to the people currently residing there and tell them it's possible to turn theirs lives around. I am living proof of that, Thank you, Lakeview. The therapists were exceptional, and I credit them—along with other staff members—for my engagement and my desire to fully commit to and benefit from my time there. The programming was a major strength, especially the medical sessions led by doctors and nurses, as well as the psychotherapy sessions led by trained therapists. These were pivotal to my success. They also offer nightly 12‑step meetings, typically hosted by outside groups such as AA and NA, which added meaningful support. The living arrangements exceeded my expectations. The dorm room was comfortable (the beds were genuinely great), the food was very good with a wide variety of options every day, and there was a healthy balance of structured programming and downtime for reading, homework, movies, and rest. One thing that particularly impressed me was their weekly Town Hall, where patients can openly raise concerns, complaints, suggestions, and compliments directly with leadership, including the CEO, Clinical Director, Nursing, Maintenance, and BHTs. While the facility is clearly short‑staffed, I never once felt unsafe or discouraged from voicing my concerns. Some of the rules could be frustrating, but they are clearly in place for patient safety. I am 44 days sober today. When I arrived, I was angry at the world, ready to leave AMA, and intent on drinking myself to death. I left with a powerful desire to live and to continue doing the next right thing to stay grounded in my recovery. Stepping Stone—especially my individual therapist and the classes—saved my life. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe. Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging! From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night! Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏 One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! I have came and gone, I have had counselor after counselor. My counselor now is IRA. I have been close with a lot of my counselors before but he’s the first counselor I can honestly say I have been 100% honest with. No judgement. When I think I have accomplished something as small as a grain of sand he reminds me of the mountain I just moved. Today I broke down and he brought up things that hit the heart with me and made so much sense because he actually listens. Other counselors have pushed me to go to meetings when all I needed was one on one counseling and the counseling I received today was exactly what I needed. I just wanted to share how awesome IRA is and how much he is apppreciated. I am so thankful for this clinic because I don’t feel so alone anymore. Making the call to get a ride back to FRC after a month long binge, withdrawing in a fetal position on my floor, was the best choice I have made. From spiraling out of control and loosing it all, to building up a new prestigious career, brand new life, and most importantly, my peace of mind. I needed a break. To come full circle and later spend over 12 years working on the incredible FRC Team has given me a unique perspective. My appreciation for FRC, its mission, and its dedicated staff is immense. Unfortunately, I am starting a new job in another city to be closer to my family, but I will always carry FRC with me. Through intensive individual therapy, group therapy, recreation therapy, in-depth 12 Step assignments and application, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), a multitude of informative and illuminating lectures (medical, recreational, spiritual, relational), and a greatly supportive community of people all working on the same goal of sobriety and sanity, I have been able to begin my life anew. I am now 90 days sober for the first time in 30 years thanks to FRC (Florida Recovery Center)!!!! I would not be alive to write this review had they not believed in me and, likewise, I had not believed and trusted the process. YOU must surrender to the process, be vulnerable, and be willing to choose LIFE for yourself - a good life without dragging around the heavy burdens of guilt, shame, and regret.....BUT YOU have to be honest with yourself and them or it probably won't work. The Transition House is a great great program! All the counselors and all the behavioral techs care about every single person that walks through the door! Every group is informative and gives you the tools to exceed quality sobriety! This program is not for people who need it, but for people who want it! One of the greatest things I have learned in this program,is I had to change myself and my old behaviors (not just the ones I wanted)...but all of them! I really admire Ms. Terri and Dr. Menges as they are always there for me to make sure I have the care I need. I cannot express in enough words how valuable they are to me. Along with Colleen. However, today I experienced something that I never thought would ever take place. The medical records department is very unprofessional, extremely rude and refuse to help. Social Security has sent 3 requests to the medical records department for paperwork to be filled out. After I received a call from SSI requesting that I reach out to medical records, so I did. Upon asking kindly to please fill this out for SSI, she verbally attacked me and told me to get on my meds and when Im feeling better to call her back and hung up on me. Then I called her back and she called the police on me for harassment. Since when does Medical Records run this facility? Why am I being informed to take my meds by a non-doctor and then hung up on because she did not want to be bothered with filling out time sensitive paperwork. This is the 2nd time this has happened with the same medical records employee. First, I lost my job because she refused to fill out FMLA papers. Now she is refusing to fill out SSI paperwork. Is this legal? Oh, and to top it off I was physically attacked in the parking lot and I had to call 911 for help as the staff did not get involved until I called. Ms. Terri & Dr.Menges are amazing and now because of the medical records employee it's up to her if Im permitted to continue to receive much required services. This is an outstanding facility, only a few staff members need to be replaced as they do not belong and are only there to take advantage of people who need help.

year ago, I walked out of the doors of Northeast Florida State Hospital, and my life has never been the same since. When I first arrived, I was in one of the darkest places I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t see much hope, and I didn’t know if I would ever feel better. But during my time there, something changed. Little by little, through the patience, care, and dedication of the staff, I began to heal.The staff there were absolutely incredible. They weren’t just “doing their jobs they were friendly, fair, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, cared for, and respected. They created a warm and welcoming environment that felt safe, supportive, and encouraging. The events, the programs, and the way they connected with us made me feel at home, even though I knew it wasn’t my permanent home. They truly made it feel like a family, and that meant the world to me.Since leaving a year ago, my life has become better, stronger, and more powerful than ever before. The strength I found during my time at Northeast Florida State Hospital has carried me forward and helped me keep growing. I often think back to the staff, the experiences, and the kindness I was shown, and I can honestly say I miss them and everything they did to make us feel cared for. I was just bragging about Lakeview and pointing a friend in this direction, and i was shocked to see even one negative review. Lakeview was amazing, it saved my life. It felt like a vacation, Its practically a health resort. It was so peaceful and serene. I felt I was cared about when cared for, I felt like they were actually invested in my recovery rather than feeling like a number. From the nurses to the blue-shirts, the therapists, the kitchen staff... everyone was so nice and supportive. The food was amazing, honestly. The pool was nice, gym was immaculate. Yoga instructors were awesome. We went for surfing lessons, went out to a horse farm to pet and feed some little horses. You have a massage therapist come in, and someone to come in for haircuts. Theres even a little zen meditation room. The lake on the men's side is full of life, little ducks and geese, big bass and turtles you can feed - although I don't think you're supposed to, anyways. The facility is nice, its got a real pretty view, good food, great staff. I cant imagine how they could go wrong. If I had to complain, the apartments, the PHP after the inpatient - the last period before you graduate... the apartments kind of sucked, but the comradery, the fellowship there.. it was a great place to transition back into the real world. And the girl at the window that took the cigarette and vape orders seemed like she was always having a bad day... but still. This place is amazing. I love Lakeview. I brag about my experience there. I highly recommend it.

I was a patient at Lakeview from October 20, 2002, to November 19, 2002. I was there during Lakeview's infancy, when there was only one building, a couple of picnic tables, a basketball hoop and a beat up volleyball net. I can tell you, with great conviction, their program works. Lakeview gave me the tools I needed to learn how to live a sober life. I still use those tools today, and I have been sober for just over 23 years now. I wish I could come down there and speak to the people currently residing there and tell them it's possible to turn theirs lives around. I am living proof of that, Thank you, Lakeview.

I didn’t always agree with how everything was run, but overall the program was truly worthwhile and helped me tremendously. The therapists were exceptional, and I credit them—along with other staff members—for my engagement and my desire to fully commit to and benefit from my time there. The programming was a major strength, especially the medical sessions led by doctors and nurses, as well as the psychotherapy sessions led by trained therapists. These were pivotal to my success. They also offer nightly 12‑step meetings, typically hosted by outside groups such as AA and NA, which added meaningful support. The living arrangements exceeded my expectations. The dorm room was comfortable (the beds were genuinely great), the food was very good with a wide variety of options every day, and there was a healthy balance of structured programming and downtime for reading, homework, movies, and rest. One thing that particularly impressed me was their weekly Town Hall, where patients can openly raise concerns, complaints, suggestions, and compliments directly with leadership, including the CEO, Clinical Director, Nursing, Maintenance, and BHTs. While the facility is clearly short‑staffed, I never once felt unsafe or discouraged from voicing my concerns. Some of the rules could be frustrating, but they are clearly in place for patient safety. I am 44 days sober today. When I arrived, I was angry at the world, ready to leave AMA, and intent on drinking myself to death. I left with a powerful desire to live and to continue doing the next right thing to stay grounded in my recovery. Stepping Stone—especially my individual therapist and the classes—saved my life. I will be forever grateful.

I came to this looking for help for alcohol and found I really needed the help with mental health care. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings are so Serene and peaceful. I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe. Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging! From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night! Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏 One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! This is the first time I've been in a treatment center. The faculty is outstanding, 5 star. They care. Always courteous. My favorite nurse is a lady named Toni. She just has what it takes to make my mind go somewhere else than on my problems of the day. She keeps a close eye on everything going on and the clients as they pass her station. She recognizes symptoms and actually stops me to see if I need anything to help at that moment. She's a great listener and I will miss her so much after I leave to start my new life of freedom from drugs and alcohol and my daily overall mental health. I want to thank the people of Spencer's recovery for the fine work they do morning, noon and night to keep everyone comfortable and in good spirits. I was in the worst stage of my life I was evicted from my home in Augusta ga and my wife passed away and facing homelessness with my two elderly dogs and was ready to give up I was lost in addiction, substance abuse combat related ptsd but here I found that I had a desire to not use or drink I know now I can trust again I was definitely lost in life but now I feel a I got a fresh start a new beginning a new chapter thanks to Dr. Pauls by the sea recovery the staff were amazing The people I met, Paul had the same desire to get better and thanks to Dr. Paul he was covering I was able to obtain four months recovery and looking forward to moving on to a healthier life. I just wanted to share that I have been going to this clinic off and on since 2013. I have came and gone, I have had counselor after counselor. My counselor now is IRA. I have been close with a lot of my counselors before but he’s the first counselor I can honestly say I have been 100% honest with. No judgement. When I think I have accomplished something as small as a grain of sand he reminds me of the mountain I just moved. Today I broke down and he brought up things that hit the heart with me and made so much sense because he actually listens. Other counselors have pushed me to go to meetings when all I needed was one on one counseling and the counseling I received today was exactly what I needed. I just wanted to share how awesome IRA is and how much he is apppreciated. I am so thankful for this clinic because I don’t feel so alone anymore. If you’re thinking about starting I would recommend this clinic 1000 percent. I’ve gone to multiple clinics and this clinic is by far the best

I graduated the phoenix house in 2019. The program doesn't focus on Just addictions, but the behavior behind addictions. Unfortunately, most of the people that I went with did not make it because they did not want it bad enough. The Outpatient "3 People Per Day" Rumor Gateway Community Services is a large-scale provider that handles a high volume of people across detox, residential, and outpatient care. They do not limit their entire outpatient program to 3 people a day. However, some clinics may limit their "new" patient intake to 3 per day and on some occasions a specific doctor or counselor at the clinic might only have open slots for 3 individual appointments on a particular day. All in all this is a fantastic place that has helped a lot of people including me! They never give up on one individual as I have seen multiple people come and go multiple times! If you want sobriety, you will achieve and maintain sobriety! No, its not as simple as that...but it can be! Dont give up! You only truly fail if you accept that failure. Remember: pain is only temporary and success is only dictated by your own "natural" happiness! I am so grateful for Gateway, and the amazing staff there. From the staff at detox, to residential llrehab, down to the front desk & providers for out-patient, they are all an amazing part of my recovery. I feel if I continue at this pace I’ll be free from my dependency. The staff at groups are wonderful and my meeting time is great. I have no issues whatsoever of Groups Recover Together. It was a blessing to hear about groups and joining was the best thing that has happened to me in the last few years..

Miss Vanetta is my counselor, and she is such an important part of now only my recovery, but I know all of my fellow peers/friends.. well actually everyone in my group feels like my family to me. Vanetta Sinclair Is the glue that holds our 'family' together. She is funny, compassionate, empathetic, understanding, and kind. Everything you could want in a counselor, and more. I love my group and Miss Vanetta!

I can't say enough good things about this place! The counselors love you to bits, the facility is gorgeous, and if you have healing to do, this is the place to do it. What happened to me wasn't fair, but they helped me back into the driver's seat of my life. The program is wonderful. I'll never forget the work I did or the amazing women I met. It's been so life changing for me. I can't thank them enough. They will help you and take good care of you!

I am writing this review to express my deepest gratitude to Kristine White and the entire team at Wekiva Springs Behavioral Center. When my 33-year-old son was Baker Acted, we were in a state of crisis, and the professional care we received truly saved his life. Kristine's professional insight into my son's erratic behaviors was exceptional. She and the team at Wekiva Springs were keenly aware of the adjustments he needed regarding his medications and provided the precise therapy required to help him overcome his crisis. Beyond the clinical expertise, this facility operates with true heart, sympathy, and empathy; they treated our family as if we were their own. Even during a particularly difficult moment when my son tried to escape, the staff’s professionalism and their immediate, cooperative response with the authorities were nothing short of 'out of this world.' We are eternally grateful for their dedication, their humanity, and the life-saving support they provided for my son. I cannot recommend Kristine White and Wekiva Springs highly enough.

Beyond grateful for my two visits here at FRC. I am now coming up just shy of two years sober. I did my two stints at the old facility. The staff is extremely welcoming, the programming is great, and both times met great friends I am still in contact with today. Making the call to get a ride back to FRC after a month long binge, withdrawing in a fetal position on my floor, was the best choice I have made. From spiraling out of control and loosing it all, to building up a new prestigious career, brand new life, and most importantly, my peace of mind. I needed a break. A vacation from the lifestyle I was living. A trip back to reality. I couldn’t bear to live one more hour. FRC gave me it all. Get the hardest part over with. Make the call, you wont regret it.

I can't recommend FRC enough. This organization has truly been a life-changer and life-saver for me. My journey with FRC began in 2007 when I was a patient receiving care. I was at the lowest point in my life after years of substance use and a near fatal suicide attempt. Under the care of Dr. Teitelbaum, The support I found there was instrumental in introducing me to recovery, and I am incredibly grateful for the nearly 18 years of sobriety I have today because of that start. To come full circle and later spend over 12 years working on the incredible FRC Team has given me a unique perspective. I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity to witness firsthand the profound, life-changing work that happens there every single day. My appreciation for FRC, its mission, and its dedicated staff is immense. Unfortunately, I am starting a new job in another city to be closer to my family, but I will always carry FRC with me. If you or a loved one is seeking help, you are in the best possible hands.

"It works, if you work it, so work it, you're worth it!" I came to the Florida Recovery Center a broken man, suicidal, no self-confidence, and a great lack of a sense of purpose and worth. Through intensive individual therapy, group therapy, recreation therapy, in-depth 12 Step assignments and application, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), a multitude of informative and illuminating lectures (medical, recreational, spiritual, relational), and a greatly supportive community of people all working on the same goal of sobriety and sanity, I have been able to begin my life anew. I am now 90 days sober for the first time in 30 years thanks to FRC (Florida Recovery Center)!!!! I would not be alive to write this review had they not believed in me and, likewise, I had not believed and trusted the process. YOU must surrender to the process, be vulnerable, and be willing to choose LIFE for yourself - a good life without dragging around the heavy burdens of guilt, shame, and regret.....BUT YOU have to be honest with yourself and them or it probably won't work. IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT SO WORK IT YOU'RE WORTH IT!!!!
