The assessment portion was great but the "Urgent" portion is not. It took 3 days for someone to call about meds and that appointment is a month away. We still haven't found a therapist in the system that accepts Medicare. This has added to the stress.

Overall I rate this hospital as one of the best inpatient experiences I've been in for years. Intake process is quick and easy. Rooms are updated and very clean. Food is good quality and vegan options are available. Doctors are very knowledgeable and understanding of your needs. DBT therapy and groups sessions are resourceful and offered daily. Staff is always available to assist.
My only suggestion is to swap out the water fountains for bottled water or a filtered water dispenserary.

Intake rep Michelle is the most caring and compassionate person. She is so passionate about mental health care. Talked me through a crisis over the phone and met me at the door upon my arrival.
Christy S. (LPN) is so sweet and caring. Not only does she always greet you with a smile, she genuinely checks in on you throughout your stay. On Thanksgiving, I witnessed her pass meds and work the entire Unit 4- taking vitals and comforting others. Thank you for our daily talks.

This was my first time using the VA for medical and it was a pleasant experience. I requested an appointment online and was called a couple of days later to confirm the date and time. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The front secretary wasn’t exactly warm, but otherwise everyone was very friendly. Dr. Bigoms and the staff at the eye clinic took their time with me and made me feel like I mattered. That doesn’t happen often in healthcare anymore, unfortunately.

This place is a joke. They talk down to you. Double book appointments. Cancel your appointment for now reason and won't let you know. Forget to send in medication literally right after meeting with the nurse practitioner. Sit for over an hour without even letting the nurse practitioner you've arrived for your appointment.

They're so short staffed and I'm sure some of the employees just didnt care as much as some. It usually took around 2 hours, and us calling every 30 minutes just to get our child on the phone for his daily phone call. He also complained about always being thirsty, they definitely don't give them enough water. They also misdiagnosed him big time with very little detail. From fhe parts we could see it was dirty and smelly and just icky.

I wanted to write a review to say how thankful I am to this facility and the incredible team (special shout out to my therapist Angela and Josh )who work here. Upon arrival I was going through it. From the very beginning the staff welcomed me with compassion, respect, and patience. Not only did they provide incredible treatment- they provided me with a family-like support. I felt understood, safe, and valued.
The therapists and facilitators earnestly listened and helped me navigate through the most difficult time of my life . Thanks to them I made progress and built confidence, learned healthier ways to cope, and began to learn how to love myself. I never felt alone, and felt encouraged and cared for each and every step of the way.

I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff. At one point they were down to a skeleton crew, they did the best they could at the time with what they had. They have gotten more staff now and they are wonderful. I don't feel like my number so much. Yes, they are strict on the rules but look at what they deal with. I can manipulate just about anyone as an active addict. We all have that power. Ft. Mac offers a lot of services to us veterans and dependents. I wished they had natural medicine doctors instead of the ones the only thing they're taught to do is issue pills for everything.

I want to say how positive my experience at RMC was. My husband had to have a pace maker put in unexpectedly. Dr. Kameron and all the nurses and staff on 3rd floor were amazing. They were attentive, caring, and present the whole time we were there. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. I will forever be grateful for the good care my husband received. I took my son in for a drug screening today. Very fast, professional and exceptional service & customer service! I was also able to make a same day appointment. First and foremost I would to share my wonderful experience with the Odyssey Family Center. I have been attending the family center since January 2024. I have to say that my Therapist Ms. Lena is a Phenomenal Person/Therapist. She has such a great personality and inspiring spirit that I can be myself with her. I look forward to my therapy sessions. Ms. Lena provides me with exercise tools that is of great usages towards one’s life. I recommend everyone to her. Allow me to acknowledge the Director for his role as a great leader.
