I called Pathways on Monday and asked if they saw patients without insurance and the girl, her name was Ashley I believe, was very helpful and let me know that they do see patients without insurance and walked me through how to get him in. We went to the Department of Labor on Monday and got his income verification, then went to Pathways Tuesday morning early as a walk-in because that’s what you have to do to be seen for free. We got lucky and he was seen within 30 minutes of getting there! Every person that works there was pleasant and friendly. The staff at the front were friendly to every patient that came in, and they actually seemed to enjoy their jobs, and truly care about making sure patients got the help they need. I heard them communicate with people over the phone as well, and they were friendly and helpful. I have a lot of experience with doctor’s offices, and worked in many myself, and it is refreshing to be greeted by friendly, helpful, non- judgmental staff. I have been using this clinic for about 15 years and it has gone through some rough times. At one point some of us had contacted the IG because appointment wait time was 3 or 4 hours. This issue was fixed along with a number of other issues. I suggest for those who have had bad experiences try again. A new clinic has opened on November 15,2021. It is right beside Oxford Lowes. For now I will give 4 stars. After my upcoming appointments I may reevaluate. I have to upgrade my review to 5 stars. The addition of Audio and Optometry to this new clinic has definitely made life easier. The service here has improved 💯 percent over what it was at the old location. The staff is amazing and I have a lot of appointments, so I'm not just a frequent visitor. A special thanks to all the staff who serve us with dignity and honor. I was scheduled for an endioscopice exam with a liver biopsy. All of the staff were very professional and thoroughly explained all steps of the procedures. The procedure went as planned and the aftercare was excellent. Dr. Eloubeidi and his staff the most professional staff and care for all of their patients with genuine concern. I have received a bile stent every six months to prevent a critical bile duct obstruction. This week I began showing sighs of jaundice and bile obstruction with an infection. We contacted Dr. Eloubeidi immediately and he confirmed out concerns of a septis infection that could have been fatal left untreated. Dr. Eloubeidi scheduled me for an emergency bile stent replacement. He also prescribed antibiotics for the infection prior to my surgery. We made the three hour drive early Friday morning to Birmingham Regional Medical Center where I was checked in right away. The regional medical staff ensured that I was prepped for surgery and that I had everything to be comfortable. The surgery was on schedule and there were no complications. What could have been fatal became a second chance at life. I owe my life to the medical staff at Regional Medical Center. There isn't a way to properly thank these professionals who have dedicated their lives to the care of their patients. The best I can offer is mine and my family's heart felt thank you. If you want the best medical care for you or you family I would highly recommend Regional Medical Center for the best quality health care. I came to Anchor to have my medications adjusted, heal from past trauma, process the death of my NA sponsor, and continue my recovery from an eating disorder. As a person of faith, it meant a lot to me that gospel music was played on the unit. It brought comfort and peace during a difficult season. I especially want to recognize Laura and Silver, who were by far the best techs on the unit. Their kindness, compassion, patience, and genuine concern for patients made a huge difference in my recovery. I also appreciated the support from the other Lauras on the unit—there are three of them, and each contributed to making the environment feel more caring and supportive. The all-women's unit was exactly what I needed. Because I was experiencing significant mania at the time, being in a women's-only environment helped me feel safer and more focused on healing. Most importantly, the team at Anchor was able to figure out my medications and get me stabilized again. I had previously struggled to find the right medication balance elsewhere, and Anchor succeeded where other facilities had not. One thing I would recommend is that patients with food allergies or dietary restrictions be prepared to advocate for themselves to ensure their needs are met. Overall, Anchor helped me through a crisis and gave me the opportunity to begin healing. I am thankful for the staff, especially Laura and Silver, and for the care I received during my stay. They deserve all the kudos for their job well done. This was my first time having to do inpatient as an adult and it made me feel relieved that I seeked help. All wonderful and loving people who want to see the best in you. The food was above expectations for a mental institution, actual hot and filling meals. The group therapy sessions by Ms. Racquel and Ms. K were awesome and very well oriented. I was treated as a normal person, not someone with a myriad of issues. My social worker, Ms. Jasmine, handled me and a whole lot with the same tenderness and firm care even when she was overbooked with patients. The nurses, Ms. Unique and Ms. Karla(or karly ?) were speedy and careful, two things you don’t get at once with many nurses. They were careful and detail oriented when explaining medicines.
