I found the staff @ Breakthrough to be extremely supportive, caring and committed to the people who come to make a change in their lives and the family and friends who love them. That was the experience for me and my GodDaughter who was there 8 months. We have experienced several programs but because of the skills and commitment of the most caring staff, Breakthrough has been transformative for her , she is closer to reaching her goals and I had a supportive partner in my part of helping her. On her way forward.

Being at Alana was a great experience for me. I had a chance to learn a lot of things about recovery and the mental aspect of what drugs and alcohol does to the body as a hole. Reviewing from a perspective of both personal experience as well as that of a loved one. MARR is an excellent choice for treatment, the staff all competent and qualified. There are doctors and nurses on staff/on site. Everyone works around the clock for the benefit of their residences - there is absolutely no other program that provides as complete of care as MARR does. They offer intensive care through every stage of recovery for each client. There are few other programs that provide extensive, long term, physical and emotional level care, individual and group therapy, teaches applicable life skills as well as drug and alcohol education and support. I have seen MARR do wonders for many people, from all backgrounds and situations, and leading to clients actively living productive, happy, substance free lives and contributing to the world and people around them. All of this and at a ridiculously affordable rate comparably.

MARR holds a very special place in my heart. I love it. It was everything I had heard previously to going there (the best way to describe it is “big girl rehab”.). If you want to get and stay sober MARR can help you. It does make sad that there have been so many changes since I have gone through the program. It seems like pretty much the entire staff has changed.

Coming to The Insight Program was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The staff welcomed me with open arms and really made me feel understood. Being surrounded by people my age who were going through similar struggles made me feel less alone. Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare provides mental health care and addiction recovery support for children, teens, and adults in Decatur, Georgia. You can find many different levels of support here, including residential detox and different types of outpatient services. They accept private pay, commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. S
Newport is a good place to Detox at. They accept most insurance and can set you up with a bed over the phone. They support MAT but I brought my own supply so I can’t speak on theirs. They gave me a 5 day benzodiazepine taper and vitamins/supplements, along with my normal meds. The intake process was simple, you get shook down a bit upon entering the clinical area, they look through your things and your person. They do a urine test, TB stick, and take blood on day 2. I would suggest bringing a weeks worth of clothing, warm stuff, pajamas, house shoes, shower shoes are a must, reading material, writing material, recovery books, you will need an extra pillow or 2, bring your own blanket and basic toiletries-they can supply hygiene items if necessary, cigarettes / tobacco, you can’t bring vapes, no phones. The bathroom was a lil nasty but the showers were clean and functional as well as private. The place is a bit dingy and old feeling overall and could use paint and decor. The bedrooms have a window and 2-3 twin beds with divider curtains between each, and 2 nightstands/shelves. You get fresh clean pillow cases, blankets, sheets, towels, washcloth. The beds aren’t great but they’re not the worst I’ve seen. You can come and go from your room to the Dayroom or nurses station as you please. There is a landline phone available during certain hours. I was there with 5-6 other folks. I had a relapse on stimulants and was admitted a few days after calling. Nurse Ginny spoke to me on the phone and she was very kind and experienced. The nurses were great, Rose was the best. The daytime started with a meal from Piccadilly, these to go plates were so-so. Some were better than others. But the portions were big. You also get a snack every night at night med call. We would then do groups, they had a good variety. Some were videos some were activity based some writing based, etc. The counselors were all nice people and qualified. The aftercare coordinator Joy that worked with me was super friendly and helpful. They can also set you up with part time classes to attend on site after you graduate detox, or send you to an inpatient residential treatment center, then halfway house. They’ll take you all the way if you put in the work, they have the connections and knowledge to help people in tons of ways. Take advantage of people like this, they live to help others. They could use a new DVD player and some DVDs and Blu rays for sure, and art supplies. Overall it’s a good place to get clean. The intake process was smooth and the place itself was solid, programs and everything. Food, beds, and the paint/decor, as well as the men’s bathroom are my only complaints. I had a room to myself the whole time I was there, and got a lot of writing and some reading done. Played some cards and watched some movies. My time there really helped me a lot in my recovery journey. I use Smart Recovery and have gotten deep into the program since leaving detox. They offer AA, NA, and other support groups as well. If you are battling addicting and need help, reach out, this is a good jumping off point. It’s all up to you.

Dr. Moseri is very knowledgeable and beyond qualified for what he is doing. My experience with him is not just for mental adjustment. He has shown to be knowledgeable as a physician as well. I thank the Most High for him. Since seeing him I have learned to manage my emotional feelings, and I am more aware of my physical health which had a great impact on my cognitive mindset. The negative comments that are on here are mind-blowing. But keep in mind, majority of the patients and or guardians of patients seeking help are in a negative space in life anyway. Trying to use negativity to charge your positive seems not to work. When you seek help, submit to what's being put before you and Yah will do the rest to help bring you out. I pray healing and well-being for us all.

My experience at hillside had it’s ups and downs but i promise you they work really well with the patients here. I won’t be disclosing my cottage but my stay here was amazing! I stayed for about 2 and a half months. This was my first ever residential facility. I was nervous at first but as i got well adapted it felt like everyone there understood me. Hillside really helped me with the DBT skills and lessons. Along with the conant school, the teachers were amazing!. Great staff as-well for the cottages. Some of my favorites were Ms. Tess, Ms. Lena, Ms. Lee, and Mr. Austin. (He was night staff) Overall hillside helped me get back on track and i would recommend immediately! Hillside Treatment Center helped me more than I can ever put into words. When I first came here, I was struggling and didn’t really believe things could get better. The staff treated me with so much care, respect, and understanding — they truly listened and helped me feel safe. The program taught me how to take better care of myself and believe in my own strength. I left there feeling like a completely different person, in the best way. I’ll always be grateful to Hillside and everyone who supported me along the way. I would specifically like to talk about Ms.Sann. She works on the Averill cottage (the one I was on) she was absolutely amazing and helped me in ways I can't even express. I absolutely lobe her, she was like a second mother to me. She really did care about every single one of us. I would also like to shout out Ms. Amarah. She was absolutely amazing aswell. I was put on a specialized program made specifically made for my needs, and she helped me work through it. I absolutely love both of them and Hillside in generall. This definitely was not the case while I was still in there, but looking back at it everything they did was specifically to help us grow.

I arrived at Anchor based on a recommendation from a family friend, and I’m genuinely grateful for the care and attention I received. From what I observed, the facility is staffed with a readily available medical team, a generous culinary crew, and knowledgeable administrators. Even though I walked in at a very low point, I was greeted with intention and genuine care. Throughout my four-day stay, I was fed well, treated with respect, and given tools that helped me feel more prepared once I left. And while not every moment was easy — it is a mental hospital, after all — the staff consistently responded quickly and worked to make things right whenever challenges came up. My doctor, Dr. Lunceford, was attentive and truly engaged, asking thoughtful questions based on our conversations rather than just going down a checklist. Everyday we would have multiple therapy classes both outside and inside. The social workers also did a wonderful job of keeping patients informed of their rights and the facility’s processes. They reminded us that Anchor’s role was to “plant, water, and prune” so we could be better prepared for the days ahead. Overall, my experience was positive, and I’m thankful for the support I received during a difficult time. Thank you!

Full disclosure: I haven’t been to this particular office . HOWEVER, I saw Dr. Sambunaris and his team years ago (late 1990’s?) for an anti-depressant drug trial. It was done with a double-blind placebo and I never knew whether I was receiving “the real thing” or not. However, over the weeks of going in and meeting with him and his team, I came to greatly respect the care and thoughtful approach that I could see came from the direction of Dr. Sambunaris. He and his team were always ready to stop the trial for a patient, should they start experiencing any negative side effects. I suppose that’s normal for drug trials, but I felt so very cared for. In all my years since then of trying therapy here and there, I’ve never experienced an office team and /or Psych doctor that was that…I dunno…warm; loving; that made you feel like it’s gonna be ok. (I know what you’re probably thinking: I haven’t found the right therapist and I need to just head to Dr. S’s office! You’re right!) At the end of the trial, during the exit interview, Dr. S. asked if I thought I was on an antidepressant (I did think so), and queried me on my thoughts. He then explained the link between depression and anxiety (who knew? I’m not even sure “Google” was born yet!). That info has been THE most helpful to me over the years - more-so than possibly ANY mental health information: That my depression wasn’t the crux of the problem; my ANXIETY was (is). I’m so grateful to Dr. Angelo Sambunaris for giving me that tidbit of knowledge so that I could learn how to better take care of myself. Hopefully, I’ll be in there soon…

This was my 3rd short term facility but was also my first time at this specific one. First impressions were alright. I was on the adolescent unit. From 10-17 year olds. The kids were amazingly funny and slightly comforting. I made lots of friends and still know a little of them outside the facility. The food was alright. Breakfast really sucked. Dinner and lunch were amazing though!. Now the doctors. They were not that good. They could have been more understanding of the patient’s emotions and feelings. Usually i would get called into a room in the until for 1 on 1 therapy with a psychiatrist/mental health professional. With my belongings i had a bag of skincare, scrunchies, pants and a shirt. It somehow got lost. Everything was lost and when i discharged the lady up front would say she looked after 2 minutes in which i obviously would not believe her. even trying to get a hold of the front desk was a hassle. It would take hours for them to answer. But in the end i never got my stuff back. Overall this facility slightly helped. More of like a crisis center instead of a helping hand in my opinion. (Also forgot to mention that the kids were extremely disrespectful towards staff, not staff’s fault though) 5/10 could have been better but thank you riverwoods :)

My experience was excellent at Ridgeview. The staff was caring and professional. I was under the care of Dr. Paul. He was patient and thoroughly listened to my concerns. He has a wonderful bedside manner and shows compassion to all of his patients.

I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ridgeview Institute for the exceptional care provided to my son during his stay. Dr. Venable and her team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and an admirable warmth of heart. Likewise, the comprehensive care he received, as well as the quality of the meals, contributed significantly to his well-being. I thank God for allowing such dedicated and committed individuals to take care of him.

I have a mixed review ~ my ex boyfriend took me to court twice and he added slander to both cases but ultimately was granted what he sought which was for me to have to "shut up" .. and I do agree that I needed to. Problem is he pays no penalties for the lies added on to the list (he did both times) and as the judge was made aware of them, he just downplayed that aspect and granted the outcome to my ex .. for my admitting to too many messages and contact attempts that were my reaction to our complex breakups. The staff of the office were helpful but did drag their feet when I had to have the decision made for a Zoom to occur in the final case as I had moved to a domestic violence shelter in Florida and could not travel back. I had to leave work that day as a result awaiting the decision. So, my pushy replying upset the judge to which he let me know that in court, and I do apologize for it Your Honor. Also the Zoom went out silent briefly as my DV mentor Pam was talking in the hall - well when I say uh oh can't hear you toward the Zoom I didn't know Judge M was addressing me at that moment. I would never disrespect him, and feel he is an honorable judge who deserves my utmost respect. I like him, my ex likes him, and all players involved appreciate what you did for us. Hope to not see y'all again Your Honor and he's probably saying back at :). Hales

God used HQ to save my life. I attended the residential program in 2019 as a homeless alcoholic and Benzo addict, encouraged to go to treatment by my family. It’s nearly 2026 and I am living the life that God intended for me to be living, 6.5 years sober, rebuilt relationships, a better understanding of myself, and a genuine relationship and walk with Christ. I found hope at HopeQuest, after which I left a career of over a decade and committed my life to helping others to experience what I got to experience in treatment. Every program will have naysayers, but this program is clinically and theologically sound and exceeds best practice.

The Trek program changed my life! I love the staff, the therapist and they truly care about your recovery! I took so much away from HQ that I’m now giving back by mentoring. Troy and Melissa have done an amazing job and the support care that they have for the spouses was huge during that dark season. THANK YOU HQ!!

Despite what all the clients say on here it's not true they worked real well with me for10 years I was able to get my life together get my first own nice home and transportation they treat you like family and if you don't know how a family act s then you wouldn't know how a family cares and look out for you they even helped me on my job journey I don't consider myself mentally ill no more cause of them I feel tall and confident in myself and my life I was able to get all the toxic people out of my life and was able to grow closer with my mom despite the distance between us literally Mr Vickie Blount and her team are awesome and if you want to know who owns and runs it it's Dr. Jackson and Mrs . Vickie even Dr. Briggs is great the communication is great it's just they have to handle a lot of clients and can't focus on just st one of us 24/7 so you have to be patient with them they always call back and we have to remember they're people to and have lives as well also they take calls on weekends and if you can't get a hold of none of them for sure you can get ahold of another and they'll relay the message
