I was skeptical about receive care with them again but I needed to establish primary care to get consults for community care. Dr. Jeanine Clark came highly recommend to me by a friend. From the start of my visit it was amazing. The nurse Kourtney was super friendly and professional. Dr. Clark was extremely pleasant and so helpful. She provided me with so much information to assist me and she addressed all my concerns that were always avoided by the VA. I can’t express how amazing they were. I have been seen at this office prior to COVID. The staff is amazing, especially if they can tolerate me. My Psychiatrist, counselor, and NP has saved my life, literally. I was introduced to them when I was at my lowest point in my life. 2018-2026 they saved my life. I was able to pick myself up, and go back to college. And Dr Briggs is very understanding and has been very helpful in trying to manage what is wrong with me and my medications and everything. There have been a couple of scheduling mishaps but nothing that interfered with my sessions or seeing Dr Briggs or anything. My mother found the closest place, via recommendation from a school counselor, and I have been with them since 2020 I believe. I have since become clean from many self harming behaviors, as well as went into therapy which has helped me so much. I absolutely love Natalie the therapist, she is such a good therapist and I enjoy talking to her even if it’s just about random things sometimes instead of therapy. My psychiatrist has had her moments, and I’m on the edge about switching honestly, but regardless she has helped me get onto some of the right medications and has tried her best to keep me up to date with bloodwork to check for any major concerns regarding my medication. And I appreciate her efforts to help me. I’ve switched through nurses about twice, but my new nurse Dale is wonderful. She’s gentle when taking blood, which is wonderful since I’m prone to passing out!! And she is funny, she has a very uplifting personality from what I can tell. The staff is really nice and helpful. It was my first time in a place like this and it was absolutely not like anything seen on TV. We had three meals throughout the day and even a snack in the evening. If you didn't need medication they didn't force it down your throat. People don't walk around like zombies and really express themselves when they feel like it. If you're a smoker, they give you smoke breaks. You can't go out whenever you want but at least they allow you to have them. If you do what you're suppose to do, meaning; not showing out and actually following the rules, your time there will go by smoothly. The only downside is not being able to go to your room throughout the day. Like if you're tired, you would have to stay out in the community room and find a place to nap. They helped me recover and get the help I needed when it came to ADHD, OCD, Bipolar, anxiety, and clinical depression. They helped me reach my normal baseline. To feel normal again without any suicidal thoughts or ideations after discharge and only felt sick on discharge day due to side effects from the medications that were subscribed to me. The nurses I had were amazing they were so kind and helpful. I luckily had a good experience and the food and sweet tea was amazing because I remember saying as the patient that Walton county Piedmont had nothing on them with the sweet tea. I just do know the nurses, social worker, and doctor those that I had were amazing and good at what they do with patients like me that were mostly at risk for harming themselves but would never harm anyone they did make me feel understood and as a person instead of subhuman so I felt comfortable being open and honest. Since the trust was built and now due to these people I have an amazing psychiatrist, therapist, and case manager. The only thing I did not like was not being in constant communication with my friends and family but I was able to communicate with some just not all like I needed. I do also want to thank Dr wright for what he did for me the plan works long term like it’s supposed to. Overall I had a good stay and it felt like a vacation. I know it made me love watching shows and movies again, music, coloring, journaling, reading, and puzzles. Thank you for helping me.
