I LOVE this place. They have helped me twice already and everytime it’s such a pleasant experience. I have been to a lot of places & this one is special. I’ve also had a lot of therapist in my life but again, nothing compares to this place. They actually care and it’s obvious. I’ll be forever grateful for them. My review is solely based on our interaction with a staff member named, Christine. We have a family member with mental health and cognitive disabilities, she was patient, kind, and empathetic to our concerns and questions. We showed up to bring clothes, and asked to speak with someone about his care. She took time out of her busy day to answer our questions, give us peace of mind, and even took the initiative to request for our family member to get a room change to a quieter floor where he would get the specialized care he needs. We wanted him to get the best out of his stay as this wasn't his first time at a facility. She made us feel assured he would by writing down all of his medications he's prescribed and documenting the medications they did not have in stock, provided us with an example of their daily schedule, and assured us she would do her best to get him moved to a quieter, less busy floor of the facility where he would get specialized care for his special needs. We greatly appreciate Christine making us feel heard and understood to get our family member taken care of during his time here. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You are a true testament to someone who serves others and cares about their patients well being. Please share this review with her, she went above & beyond our expectations and spent a good amount of time answering questions and reassuring us he was in good hands with the specialized care he needs.

I had a very pleasant and reassuring phone experience with a lady name Jasmine, who works in their admissions department. I was overwhelmed as I tried to track down a family member with very little information as to where she was at within the Lakeview Facility Jasmine was very kind and patient as she helped me to navigate through this process. It was also refreshing to come in to contact with a person that can still demonstrate, a professional and respectful demeanor in the midst of a challenging role. I thank Jasmine for putting my mind and heart at ease.💜

Our son was released from Lakeview yesterday, following a two week stay. This was his 3rd psych hold this year, probably his 20th in the last 5 years, but his first trip to Lakeview. He's been through the ringer, as have we. Through this 5 year nightmare, we've come to know what to expect from stabilization hospitals. Lakeview's rating was slightly lower than some of the others, which always made us more leery of it, but we recognize many of these patients are held against their will and, likely, not apt to leave a fair review. We were pleasantly surprised by Lakeview. For one, they actually answer the phone. We know this is uncommon. Everyone we spoke with was attentive, compassionate and responsive. Nurse Banks was especially helpful, and there were others that should be noted, but I didn't catch their names. Our son is much better than when he arrived at Lakeview. That should've been our expectation, but it wasn't, after he came home worse from Peachford and Ridgeview earlier this year. Another thing to note, Lakeview actually called in his prescriptions upon discharge. Thank you for that! That's never happened before, which is a major problem when you have a serious mental health issue and can't miss your meds. I can see Lakeview is trying and our family appreciates it. We have a long road ahead of us but appreciate Lakeview getting our son back on track. At least we have a chance.

If I could give extra stars, I would!! :)) I go to this establishment for therapy every 2 weeks (give or take) and I can definitely say that it’s helping! The staff overall are a wonderful group and always super kind and helpful. Coming from a mixed background, it’s refreshing to see that there are people here to help you in any way that they can by providing the upmost of care. I truly feel seen. 10/10 experience thus far !!

Being at Alana was a great experience for me. I had a chance to learn a lot of things about recovery and the mental aspect of what drugs and alcohol does to the body as a hole. I would definitely recommend this place to others such as myself that's trying to get their lives together. I stayed there 3 months,and I wish I was able to stay there even longer,Ms.Laura,Ms.Brenda,Colin,Chris,Cliff,and Caitlin played a big role in my recovery,these are PEOPLE THAT ILL NEVER FORGET. Im currently a client on methadone that has moved from Ca. to Ga. It was spur of the moment with no time to make arrangements. I spoke with ERIC on Healthqwests csr dept based on New Jersey. Fyi. Ive been in tech supt, customer service, Quality Assurance & M.I.S. For over 30 yrs Ive worn a headset and have been helping customers. Ive ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help, which is why I can say that ERIC assessed my dilemma for what it was and did his best to move Heaven and earth for me to get me the help i needed 2 days ago. He had an entire queue to help and he took my case as personal as was needed to help me. Moving here I have to change my Medicaid to Ga. which is NOT ez or quick. And I, having heart disease and 5 stents in my heart from 2 heart attacks. Short version of of i didn't get help and go into withdrawl the strain on my heart would no doubt KILL me. The man devoted most of his day trying to get my situation straightened out. Im detailing this because I want you to know this was the BEST service ive ever received in my 60 plus years on this planet, and it happened when my literal life was on the line. Healthqwest cant be beat if you want genuine effort with your help. The prices are competitive but you can't go wrong using them.
Ill answer any question or comment too. The medication I take is no joke. I take it for a broken back I got when I was year ended on my motorcycle at a red light. I take it for Pain mgmt.
Its a serious subject and serious things happen with it....and more without it. Id be crippled, so you can see the magnitude of my plight.

So far it has been good I recently transferred in from another clinic they were very helpful the only thing I do not like is all medicaid recipients have to video call daily to take the dose in front of a nurse or else we are not covered by medicaid for that day. Which is a medicaid thing but thats the only difference from my last clinic

I utilized every service for several months as I recovered from circumstances that rendered me homeless in August. They received me on the 8th, and from that day forward I didn't miss a meal, I attended programming that was engaging and developmental towards successful community re-entry. All the staff genuinely lean in every aspect of their roles to help myself and my peers. I am truly grateful because I don't know where I'd be without you all. Thank you all so much! You too JD! I choose "other" because my loved one was treated for "multiple of the above"... including but not limited to pain pills, marijuana, meth, and alcohol. Never in a million years did I ever think he would get and STAY clean and sober. He had tried AA, an out of state rehab, counseling, etc etc, nothing worked. He was arrested, in jail, lost the right to see his son, estranged from his family, broken from his fiance, no job, no car, no steady living arrangements... But it seemed like he would never hit "bottom" that everyone talks about.....after looking at tons of programs, we found Alana and it is the best thing that could have ever happened. He has been clean and sober for over two year and has completed turned his life around to the point that he is now other the other side of it and dedicates his life to helping others! he is back in his sons life, has steady housing, steady job, a relationship with family etc. I cannot say enough positive about this program!!

Alana is a wonderful place for recovery. The coping skills you learn are top tier! The staff really cares about your progress and they try to do as much as they can to help you with recovery. Cliff, Darnell, Joy and the full staff are amazing. They definitely help you pack life long tools

Everyone is so nice and so helpful. The only change is they’re no longer open on Saturdays so it’s only Monday through Fridays, make sure that you bring your lockbox on Fridays and if your guest dozing make sure you either find another facility for Saturdays or plan to come on Friday to get your medicine for all or get them to give you an extra bottle to bring.

My name is actually Adam I’m just having a hard time getting into my email lol.. anyways I’m a relatively new patient and my first impression so far has been that this is a facility with people who are caring and treat addicts such as myself with the dignity that we’re not always afforded. Nat, is compassionate and respectful while Keisha (I think that’s how you spell her name?) is upbeat and fun to talk to. During a time in which there’s so much stigma around medication assisted treatment, this place in particular doesn’t treat you with any less respect than they would a non-addict. I have a feeling that some of the people that have left negative reviews are clients who simply disobey the rules by skipping days and afterwards s were mad that they had to re-admit And pay which is simple state mandated policy. I look forward to meeting my counselor Chi-Chi as I have heard great things about her.One last note – lines are very short!!

I was a patient here from late August to September of this year. Andrew the caseworker and Natasha lied to me for the entire time I was there about sending documents over for job security, short term disability, and my return to work form. I have called probably 20 times in the last week begging for help and to speak with a supervisor Tracy to no avail. Do not come here if you are currently employed and want to keep your job because they will lie, gaslight you while you are focusing on your recovery, and will send documents to the wrong fax number (even though the number is on the paperwork). Absolutely trash service. 0/5 stars. I lost my job because the staff here is too busy about turning a profit than to actually help their patients. This makes me want to relapse. SCREW YOU RVA!!!
